Jane's Addiction at the first Lollapalooza in Orlando is one of the great experiences of my life. Awesome.
Best rhythm section in the History of Alternative music....Perkins and Avery are two very dynamic musicians......just awe inspiring..........Oceansize!

@IamStevenVargas You are lucky to have been at one of the best shows and group of bands ever put together at one time sense Woodstock. The Greatest in our generation. There will never be another show like the first Lollapalooza. Or the second one at that!

I enjoy this album on repeat. Until I memorize the entire thing. Then I listen to something else
@runawayuniverse That is because Eric A. wrote most of their lyrics back in the day. Collaborated on all. The lyrics are weak throughout. Sadly enough.

some people say a person who isnt in a earthing capourile form says care but what if that same being says to me let them care and you stay nutral or just watch and see if what they care about is whorth the stressess of careing most of ţhe time it is whorth stressing.
So whatever happened to Eric Avery? I don't understand why he's not in the band anymore. I know they've tried many replacements, but I've never heard an official story as to why he's not there

Respond to this video... Eric never held the band back. Eric A. was the fuel that drove Jane's!! Just listen to Ritual/Nothing Shocking and the album first released under Triple X records. It is sad that Eric A. isn't with the band because the music would be so much better with him on bass. Chris Cheney is the bass player on the new album I believe. The greatest thing Perry was able to accomplish without Eris A. was the first Porno for Pyros album. The second album was less than average.

@getupanddosomething From what I gather, Eric A. had enough of Perry back in the day. Perry was a great front man 20 plus yrs. ago. Perry just thought he WAS the band on his power trip. The band never really got along most of the time. Eric and Dave were strung out back then. Eric had just had enough. I think Perry is very bitter about Eric leaving the band to this day. To devote a whole song just to Eric (End to the lies) is a bit much. Eric A. wrote Most of the songs. Including Jane Says.

even if i say i dont care asume nothing try and figure out what a person dosent care about lots of people are stuck on stupid want to play technicality games just to get what they want a characaturistic that i my self has only seen in a minority that isnt a color or a religion not hating just sayin work it out,its a lot of things that only sertin types of people do me to as a person.
Too bad because Avery was a huge part of Jane's Addiction. Listen to the old stuff. All either start with the bass line or have a heavy bass influence. Only they know what is going on.......but the stuff would be so much better with E. Avery. Ted ( Perry )......Just admit it!

@123IN321OUT Even if he were an over-rated guitarist (which he's not...I never hear anything about him), being over-rated is out of one's control...he has no say in what others think about his musical abilities. As for being a half-assed guitarist, 'half-assed' is probably the worst adjective I've ever heard to describe a musician. If someone asked me to describe what a half-assed guitarist sounds like, I would either have no idea, or I would say 'a guitarist with half of an ass'.

That foreskin/real head line is the lamest thing ever. The music is decent enough, but the lyrics ruin it for me.
