Him and Bernard Edward's two of my favorite players. Had their own signature style and tone , great octave runz ,Laid back grooves but super funky. Mark popularized that slide style and multi use of alternating between thumb and finger style simultaneously in one groove ❤

1st person in my "crib" location to play " Just a Touch "@ dec 1980
it was still only an underground "new joint" in a selected group disco clubs at that time ,
also 1st in my location on another joint in dec 1980 by Donald Byrd called Lovin You ,,
both probably 1st " ever " played in the UK @

Mark "Hanslor" Adams was a great bassist. These cats were very young when they started Slave. Stevie "Fearless Leader " Washington, Steve Arrington, Mark "Drac" Hicks; hard to get that type of musicianship today.

I totally agree. Showtime was my favorite Slave album. There is some really great bass playing and music composition on that album. I used to just play the whole album in a constant loop some days. For the Love of U was a great slow jam too . This is some of Steve Arringtons best vocal work and some of Mark Adams’s best bass work . The horns were outstanding also! It’s just a great album and if you like Slave it’s a must have! I hate to leave anyone out because the guitar work was great and the background vocals, the keys and everything. It’s just an all around great body of work!
