    If you have parents, you don't know how much rich you are. That line touched me

      That’s a fact! Both my parents are deceased and I feel like my foundation is in shambles. But, one thing that keeps me going is, I have changed so many generational curses this far and I’m gonna keep pushing! I’m determined to NOT have the life my parents had. It wasn’t until I moved away to FL in my own and started learning new skills that I grew up poor.

    I choose to be rich, but shopping at a dollar store isn't a clear sign that someone is poor. They're probably just buying stuff there because it's cheap.

      Nathaniel Olliff Save a lot of money. All you can save in 1 year. Make a bank account and save the money there and start all over again. Making another bank account at the end of the other year and so on. There are so many bank's. Make bank account in € £ $ and keep all the money in the bank. Never touch it. One of your bank account, will be your retirement plan. All that money, could help you, at your retirement to start a small business, like a fast food or a market, bar, etc. Keep your money, away from your woman. Woman's are with you, just for the money. If they divorce you. Make sure you have secret money saved in bank's, blame you lost the money at the casino, save cash. Woman will divorce you, you pay a lot of money for raising the kid's after divorce, the kid's you will see once a month a few minutes, the kid's who are educated by the woman, who say your a alcoholic and good for nothing. Be rich, don't worry about tomorrow. Work, save money and do everything for yourself. Nobody will.

    Thank you for mentioning addiction. I am a recovering alcoholic. I thought I made crap, but I saved $17K in my first year of sobriety, and put $10K in Amazon, which turned to $13K, which really got me exciting about stocks. Now I have Netflix and Amazon stock and 10 other stocks, all of which pay dividends, and now I'm every more motivated to save. Though I do disagree with the video on the car thing, but because I live in NYC. I have a 2007 RAV4 which looks new still, and had "only" 115K miles. I don't see a reason to buy a new car when the new one is working fine.

    I recommend reading the book “the millionaire mindset“. It examines the habits and patterns of wealthy people, and some of them may surprise you. This list is mostly correct except for using coupons and shopping sales. The majority of millionaire households do use coupons for groceries and other consumables, and they funnel the savings toward investments and college funds for their grandkids

    • @illosovic
      @illosovic 4 года назад +3

      Idk..... are you able to verify that its "the majority"? I don't doubt alot do but for the multimillionaires i just feel like it wouldn't be practical, you've probably gone out of your way to save a dollar but i doubt you have or even would to save a single penny, they're on the level of saving pennies and of course that would add up but when they're making 4 digits a day, relatively its still pennies to them, i think they think in terms of % not $

    • @paulbrower4265

      You can listen to books on tape and to classical music. The problem with a long commute is that you are doing nothing to improve yourself.
      This is especially so with people who commute by bus. You see them at the end of the day -- most are broken (sure, most have horrible jobs,), but they must wait until the bus gets there to take them to their destination. Every day is like that.

    After viewing this video I can admit that the author is poor too. Rich people are rich because they know the value to the money. I know one guy, he invested in the advertising campaign of my project few years ago, and he is very simple guy. He often wears clothes from Walmart, he can use public transport sometimes. He’s multimillionaire, and yeah, his clothes are cheap, but he loves Swiss watches, he often wears ~$400-800K watch. Swiss watch is an investment, they are getting more expensive every year. What I’m trying to say is that there’s nothing bad if you’re using discount coupons or driving a 10+ years car, that’s the best you can do now, and that’s smart. If the author of this video suddenly became rich, she’s going to spend them all in few month.

    #12... "working class" citizens work hard their whole entire life to take care of the country and help it's gears run, they are the ones getting down and dirty doing the jobs others don't want to, they often get stuck in their cycle living pay cheque to pay cheque working overtime 2 low paying jobs (who has any other time to grow in other ways?) with none of the same opportunities to grow and retire comfortably as other more priviledged folks, why shouldnt they expect the govt reciprocate the care when they retire? Just asking.

    • @bossvlad2424
      @bossvlad2424 7 лет назад +4

      Fu An Kang The government is made to make you poor. Just think about going to life somewhere far away, grow your own apple trees and so on, built a house, you don't need to buy it or pay bills for it, eat food without paying taxes on anything you eat, pay your own salary, how much you desire, because all the hard work, is taken by the company, you work for, the company sends your 0,001 % of your earnings in a year to you and the taxes to the government, the government takes the money, without doing nothing, not to mention, that the government prints money legally for itself, the government owns the country, basically you are owned by your government, instead of moder day citizenship, you are a slave to the government. From your salary you have to pay for breathing the air (shelter, food, hygiene, education, health care and so on). You have to pay for anything, including your health care. So be thankful lol That you live on this earthly life hahaha
      Good thing, you will live only between 80-120 years, may cut a few maximum 25 years or more from your life, if you smoke and drink coffee lmao 😆 Hahaha

    I choose to rely on myself and the consequences of my own actions, rather than on the government as a safety net. This is why Point #12 ("You expect the government to take care of you after you retire" was my favourite point in the video. This video was quite difficult to watch because I ended up identifying with quite a few items on your list, but I'm happy to have watched it because at least I know what I have to work on now. I'm determined to move toward a better life and a lot of the videos you fine folks at Alux create are integral to making a game plan that's most effective.
    As to people getting offended by this video, I don't understand it. How could anyone get upset over this sort of thing? Being poor is only a temporary thing and this video is actually a good road map out of it. All of the items on this list are things that can be changed to some degree or another, it just depends on how bad a person wants out of their old paradigm. It seems to me that if a person is really so upset about being poor, getting mad about a video that confirms it just solidifies their denial and ensures they will remain poor.
    Thank you for the video, I hope you keep 'em coming!

The video sounds like their hating on quote on quote poor people; and if they meant poor by as in health then that would have been fine but with rich there it wouldn’t work .

    I remember once in alux's videos, alux said that poor people are religious people due to the fact that they rely on "a magical being" to take care of their problems. Logically speaking I agree, however from where I come from it's the opposite in my community.
    All the lower class people in my community spend their free time going out to dinners, watching TV, partying, etc. The richer part of the spectrum from my community ( I'm talking about people born poor and became rich, people born rich and stayed rich, Doctors, Pharmacists, Dentists, entrepreneurs...) spend their free time at synagogue learning Torah and praying.
    I wanted to reach out to alux and hear their response on the matter.

      Being rich for me would be to have a passive income wich i can live on and not have to work. I don't need much, probably around €1500 a month, i don't have to go to work or spend my time on some other dumb and useless stuff so i don't spend money on car and gas.
      I swear the moment i can quit my job and get that money every month i am going to laugh my ass off the first 3 months. And be soooo happy that i don't have to go to work! I can just lay in my bed all day everyday, watch tv, go outside, or travel somewhere.
