- Rm kl 200p quickie just a quick test of the little guy. I understand that some of you may get different results. This is not the absolute output test. just a ballpark. and yes it will be closer to PEP but not right on. did not do SSB because the radio has same output. And it would give the same results. I hope you enjoy it.
Yha figured it was closer to PEP it gets in the ballpark. My brother had it for almost a year and update his to a Bird. And gave it to me. I have the kl200 and 200p both have fans you're correct need to keep 😎. Not bad for price. Thanks for the comment.
At 4 watts your maxing out the amps specs. Never a good idea for longevity.
That amp should be keying between 20-30 watts and let it swing.
I had one of those Workman meters. Did you notice it reads "Perk" watts? I got almost 8yrs(?) out of a rm203p with a fan. Nice little amps if you don't over drive them. I'm looking at a rm200p as a driver for my base...
Lower that Dead key. Lol keying 100w? Way way to high. Gonna burn up that lil amp man. Kodiak in the Carolinas wavin!
Yha RM Italy manual telling us not to key more then 4watts and he'll yha she will get hot if I was to get Long wind 🌬️ so I put the fan on the little guy. Testing with fan had a long test with local family member. To me it did not even get close to getting hot 🔥 now. Most of it's life will be a backup for my RM Italy 503. I know 4 watts is pushing it but most of it's life will be spent on SSB. Which should be for fine. Thanks for your comment. 73$ brother.
Do you have a videi on the KL300P?
No but I did get one but had to return it. The swr was very high. Do not know why but for the money I would just get the 502. Thanks for your comment hope this helped.
