For this week, there are no cicadas in the high country. Its too cold. Size 14 deleatium are hatching though about 2.30 - 3.30pm

How many salmon have been caught? Lowland rivers, how have they been producing? Sea runs?? We want reports on the state of the fishery, not tips.

Salmon are getting caught in the Rakaia mouth and a few up river in the braids. Around 11lbs so an improvement on last year. Not much happening at the Waimakariri yet. Hopefully people might offer more updates. I think everyone is keeping their catches quiet this year.

Don't be silly, Fish and Game don't care about the salmon, small Canterbury creeks choked with willows, salmon being poached from above the Hope/Waiau junction using a helicopter to spot them and numerous other real life issues. They care more about licence revenue and creating more rules to make their high paid jobs seem justified.

Why not ring them and find out instead of being a keyboard warrior??
