Thank you so much for this video. I am a caregiver for a CP patient w/ spastic quad and she is just one of the coolest people you could ever meet. In spite of her lack of speech you would be amazed at the ability to have a conversation with facial expressions and gestures alone! It is hard on the family at times, but with the help of caregivers and medical tools, anything is possible. And the girl’s personality is just a bonus. She makes every day all the more special.

My story was like Paige's, I'm 54 now but I was born with Cerebral Palsy, although is was mild it still affected my balance and motor skills and caused me to have an erratic gait. As I got into my late 30's and 40's I started having the onset of degenerative arthritis, and my balance and motor skill started getting worse. The arthritis affects my knees, lower back, hands, wrist and fingers. for my mobility issues I use a cane for short distances, when shopping I always use a grocery cart and around the house I use a rollator.

If you can reach out to adults with cp and to your local UCP about resources and what's out there , that will help your child too.

Try neuro acupuncture as it seems to have great results with cerebral palsy.

I think the UK has fallen behind with adult social care for people with cerebral palsy.
