@@SimpsonsSpeedShop man, your little red Dart has been a real pleasure to see as it's come along. Mr. Wille has a very sweet shop setup.
I wish I could have stayed in that world and still made a living. I've seen one of them Ray Barton HEMIs in a 68 Dodge Power Wagon pickup, 471 Cubic Inches, pulled Pro Stock 4x4 trucks in NNY. Over 900HP, and use to listen to it hit 8800RPMS. They call it, Too Loose Nuts. The truck has been down for a few years, the Ray Barton is coming back....BIGGER. I got to give it credit, installed in 03 or 04 it ran untouched until an inspection 10 years later, and new crank bearings. Finally, couple years ago, a smug hot shot in another truck, throwing his money around, really pissed Tim off, broke the valve train at over 9200RPMS coming up on 300 Feet mark at a rapid pace, sled topped out. If he hadn't broke, we knew he would have smoked the Hot Shot asshole in the Chebby.

Really nice numbers, especially for a non-specialize head (not requiring special pistons, etc). Only issue I noticed was the oil pressure, started and finished in the 50s (51-58). I think there is a problem somewhere allowing oil pressure to bleed off, it should be building more pressure than that as it climbs rpm. Did you guys notice and address that after posting this dyno session?

I'm having a "new" design Bill Mitchell Products aluminum RB block built out as a 572 stroker. It can use a 4.50" stroke w/out clearancing, and comes as a 4.50" bore. Mostly for street use, anything from short rides to local shows, cruising in stop and go traffic at Cruisin the Coast, to highway long distance runs. The times I get to the track are going to be a blast!

I was thinking the same thing. It looks like maybe the heads are not hogged out as much as they could be in an Indy head to produce that HP at a lower RPM. The Indy heads might flow more but he might want to keep it at a certain level for more velocity and in that lower RPM power band.

I can see these are Edelbrock heads, but what is the intake and exhaust valve sizes??? To make 1000 HP one would need about 450 CFM at 28 inches or more.

@@ronsmith7739 I know the heads were worked over but this isn’t my motor so all that I know is in the video. Thanks for watching

Hard to believe carburetors are still being used these days.

Why? They still make the most power on Classic n/a platforms

Even with all of the different types of fuel injection these days? I’m seriously curious. I’ve retired after forty four years of heavy truck repair. In our sector, the most performance gains were done with fuel injection and electronics. Thank you for your reply.
