I just had a Husky 445 delivered and I almost sent it back because I thought it was too light. This video changed my mind. If it can handle a pile like this it can handle everything I need it for. Thanks!
Helix Reckoning ive had this saw for five years and use it everyday my father owns a tree service and i needed a cheap saw for side work at first now its my go to saw for just about anything its perfect you should have no problems just dont store with gas
Our 445 I bought for a cheap beater saw in the plow truck now gets used more than our MS 391 because its so light and really goes above and beyond what one would expect from such a little saw. If we ever needed to replace it we would probably buy the 550XP but she's being going strong for years without a hiccup so.... Boom for the buck I can't complain.
I worked up a sweat, appetite, and a powerful thirst watching this video..Put a Stihl RS chain on it and watch the chips fly.I had this model, but sold it.This is still a semi safety chain.Has two humps in front of the cutter. This is going to be a chore lowering the rakers.Great safety video.Ken
I don't own a chainsaw yet but I'll probably buy this 445 in the next days. That's why I found this video ! This Husq is quite light, doesn't drink too much and is powerful enough. Are you happy with this model, would you buy the same today ? Ah, by the way, I can see that like me you are left handed ! So it's possible for a left handed guy to use a chainsaw like anybody else, and not with the wrong hand !! I was reluctant about that...
STHIL has a chain called rapid micro chisel it's good for hard wood.I cut black walnut, red oak, thorny locust, osage orange, this was in mo the hard wood there grows little slower it's where they get oak for wine and whiskey barrels, black walnut for gun stocks . CARLTON MAKES CHAIN FOR STIHL AND MOST LIKELY FOR HUSKVARNA 2
Good video. Having cut for 45 yrs. it makes me shudder to see you cutting on a pile-too much chance for kickback especially with an aggressive chain setup. Build yourself a sawbuck and enlist someone to load it and you safely cut more wood in less time.
I like cutting with a full chisel chain also. It's better than semi chisel in my opinion. If you're doing a lot of cutting you'll want to have the fastest cutting chain money can buy. Lol.
If you would like to get longevity and better preference out of that saw try running Amsoil saber mix at 50:1 . that what I've been doing in my husky 445 and I do run my saw at -25c. without any issues
Yeah i might have to try that, my biggest issue is that i think i need fuel stabilizer as i only run my saws on the weekends and it could be 4-6 weeks between fresh fuel mixes.
Your original bar and chain were not just semi chisel but also what's called a narrow kurf design . By switching to that full chisel chain but still running the narrow kurf bar your technically running the wrong chain and your gonna fuck your bat up prematurely , you also now need to use more power to cut through the a log that you'd require less power to cut through has you used a new narrow kurf semichisel chain. the math proves what im saying because the full chisel chain has more surface area per cutter that the saw had to pull through the wood do to bigger cutters and a full width chain causing more friction. I guarantee had you just bought a stock narrow kurf chain that you would've made all those cuts quicker than you did due to a narrower cutting patch and smaller cutters. You can't compare a dull semichisel narrow kurf chain to a brand new full chisel chain , only fair way to compare would be comparing when both are equally sharpened or both brand new. Btw you also said you were waiting for the saw to run outta fuel , never ever run a two stroke down to where it shuts off do to lack of fuel , it will lean out badly in the last few minutes of being run which will cause prenature scoring and piston ring wear or even damage due to lack of lubrication and way hotter combustion temps from running lean. always monitor your fuel and refill before the saw gets so low it begins to lean out. I hope you see this comment and take my words as constructive criticism not offensivly intended at all . Just trying to help out that 445 ya got cause it's a wonderful day and I hate to see it being abused and maintained or used incorrectly .

Finally someone who is wearing safety gear Thumbs up!
As the great @crazyrussianhacker would say "Safety is number one priority" haha Thanks for the comments. cheers!
I cut Sitka Spruce and Birch with my 445. 18 in bar works great with chisel chain, throws noodle. For the money, I'm impressed.

Good job man! I have the 445 I put a ripping chain on it but really kicks butt on crosscut !

Yeah that is true, they are also not expensive. cheers

make sure you run premium fuel. NO ETHANOL.
Yes I agree.

Stupid music like to listen to the saw cutting the logs
like butter wtf is that bad or good do you mean like a hot knife lol
real metis this comment needs more likes😂😂😂LOL
@@thediverseguy7788 lol thanks
Music made me switch off.
Put a STIHL RS Chain on & it will cut even better ! or EVEN better buy a PRO SAW The 455 is a homeowner saw NOT a Pro Saw !
So you think he should replace his $325 saw with a $800 saw..... To cut the firewood that his $325 saw cut just fine?
I have a pro saw and a new Husqvarna 445. With a sharp semi-chisel chain, the 445 can give the pro saw a real run for it's money.
Гнилой осины напилил.
