My mother was an eccentric artist who purposely tried to find fine art I'd enjoy when I was a kid. William Wegman was my favorite. And, I don't know if my continued affinity for his work is nostalgic, or because it's actually really good, but he's still my favorite artist. Now, he's my kids favorite artist. I wish I could've met him when we were in Maine so I could tell him that 😂

It's always nice when people can hide behind the internet walls to act as if their opinion matters. Wegman is a great artist, he captures great personality in the dogs. I'm not a huge fan of his videos, but alot of his still photography is great. And as for those who act like he is somehow mistreating his dogs, you should do more research. He doesn't force a dog to do any photo, if they will not pose, he moves on to another shot or dog. His dogs get the best attention.

I was raised near Lake Michigan. As a boy, I remember seeing the fishing fleet and smoke houses. Now, the fleets are gone, the fish they sought are gone and the fish are too toxic for human consumption.

A bit sad that considering that most of the rivers and lakes where people use to fish in the 50's are now poluted... old Indian Chief was right, white man polute everything, you can't stop the power of things.

Stop torturing your dogs Willy...even their adorability will not make you a good photographer...

...says a clueless moron who doesn't know the total abject love he has and has had for his buddies. Get a life and look in the mirror before you try to impress the world with your ignorance.
