Where would the 80’s be without the queen of pop music?
The freeing up of sexuality for women to be able to freely enjoy themselves in that way as much as men were “accepted” too…would have kept moving really slowly… she freed up and really brought the topic of sexuality into the public…. We’d all still be wayyyy behind if it weren’t for her flavor of expression & aside from that she is one of the most incredible emotive ballad writers and singers ever, many incredible slow jams.. She was raw and then 13 years into her career decides to get a voice coach, lands a musical movie w/Evita, completely opens up both her range and technical ability with amazing results… uses those results to release a completely unexpected and genre defining album with Ray Of Light in 1996 and it kept on going and going… the woman deserves so much respect for her creativity, work ethic and prolificacy!

I love that it really is a remaster of the Original 7" Edit, and not a remade digital edit. It sounds great and they left the tiny little mistake during the final edit. It adds character and is a nod to the fans who love that stuff.

@@andres.murillo Being a huge nerd, it'd be my pleasure hehehe right listen at 3:25 ish point. The section where on the full length version M sings "Holiday, Celebration, Come together in every nation" has been cut out but as she originally ad-libbed and extended the final "nation" word it bleeds over onto the backup "holiday" part with the piano break. So you hear her sing (sort of a bit Elvis-like) "tionnnnn" as the backing begins. It's hilarious that I'd know this but I've been listening since 1985 and these little organic moments just add charm to the song for me hehehe
@@PerryCJamesUK It's interesting you point that out. I'm an editor, and I've edited this track before. When you loop the song perfectly to 3 digits after the decimal point ( I think it runs at something like 115.675 bpm - you automatically get that glitch when you make the cut. It was common in lots of 80s edits as they would just loop the track then make the cuts quickly once the beats were mapped out. It sounds like a mistake but it's actually perfectly edited according to the bpm. There's no way of avoiding it. Personally I kinda like it.

This is so awesome to hear…I remember when I discovered Fleetwood Mac & ABBA & Led Zeppelin when I was 16 in 1990 (Madonna had recently released Vogue & was at one of many peaks of her fame) and it was also decades after their peaks… Great music, melodies & lyrics will always stand the test of time over generic packaged record-company formulaic crap.
same here, although back when i was a child i always hear madonna's music because of my father, especially the song holiday. then in 2017 i got curious of her music, i listen to her 80s song, and damn she has so many hits. and now im the biggest fan of hers! im only 20 years old. since 2017 u already watched all of her interviews and documentary. I took me 2 years to fully know her discography.

When I try to describe what you represent and the good you generated on humanity, on , earth and the music, movies, art, dance, acceptance, LOVE, PEACE .......... to the world words are useless - Words, They've gone out, lost their meaning - don't function anymore -and inside - we're all still wet - longing and yearning - how can I explain how I feel? - I love listening to Holiday and ALL your songs with headphones and I know I'm gonna relax in the arms of unconsciousness - and all that I ever learned from you I shall never forget. Your voice on the first two records are so unique and special + I adore the young high pitch voice and Holiday is classic and you have a great diverse and very flexible voice - The great thing about seeing you live or watch it on screen is that your voice sounds the same as the records and that is very unique and it makes your concerts even better than listening to your records (some artist sound so different live and I don't warm to that) - Keep pushing the boundary Madonna we, your fans will back you up until your last breath and eternity especially the legacy that's eternal - But I'm sure you aint done yet and I can't wait for your biopic - God Bless Madonna our savior
