    Possible secret meaning of "I can't do anything".
    "I cannot do the recreational activities that I enjoy most. I cannot dance the way that I want to. " Unless you are professional dancer or performing in a musical that requires you to sing, dance, and act on stage as a professional, it is not work related. It is merely a personal frustration.

    At my disability exam I was only asked how long can I stand up in which I replied 30 minutes Max they looked at the problem area and that was it.. we didn't talk or anything it was strictly business 🤔

      Then what happened

      I had the same. First person was a kid about 20 and asked me many questions about half hour, then this so called doctor came in and spent about 4 minutes with me and asked maybe five questions, one was "ok repeat ball, cat, and house" two minutes later she asked me to repeat it, I only remembered "ball. She probably thought I was faking. I have anxiety and panic disorder and PTSD and am 58. I was on SSI from 96-2000 but was cutoff because my late wife became a RN. Then when she was hit by a truck and disabled I tried to reapply and was denied in 2010, they said " Even though we realize you're disabled you're not receiving therapy so we're denying you at this time. Well I'm in therapy now since July 2023 so I wonder what I'm gonna be denied for this time. I get survivor benefits at 60 this will probably be another reason for them to tell me no

    Thank you, I've had Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (undiagnosed) since childhood (maybe infancy).
    A.D.H.D. & hormonal issues.
    In 2020 I contracted Covid-19 which led to Longhaul Covid & worsening symptoms of ME/CFS.
    All I was trying to do is make it through each work week until retirement.
    I appreciate the information on what to expect (exam wise) as I've applied for SSDI at the suggestion of my Longhaul Covid Doctor & am at the Hearing Level of the process.
    Thanks again & Happy 2023!

    Work related issues only. I can’t believe people think ed is a work related issue. No mris, explain how problem effects work. Psycological exam , must effect ability to work. Credibility, tell the truth. Don’t exaggerate, be honest. Don’t say you can’t do anything! Don’t say, I hurt everywhere. Don’t say you can’t remember, but then recite medical history. Don’t come in stoned! Very helpful, can I request you for my exam, haha. Larry

    They didn't want to see my paperwork or my medications! They said they had all the information already, well the paperwork they sent me told me to bring them. This was a mental exam. I have anxiety and panic disorder and PTSD. I'm 58 and was on SSI before my late wife became a Nurse. She took her life in 2016 and daughter OD'd from heroin in ,2013. They'll deny me and say i can drive and talk

    So if I am truthful when I say I do not drink or use any recreational drugs at all, the doctor will likely assume I am lying??

    • @heatherjackson2520
      @heatherjackson2520 Год назад +4

      They assume we're lying or exaggerating about everything because If you really think about it that's what people do in life about just about everything. How long it took them to get somewhere, how much something cost, how much something hurts, how bad a house repair that needs done is, etc etc. Screws me over on a daily basis because I don't exaggerate.
