This right here is fiddling, this is a side of being a folk musician the world never gets to see! Each player has this language they speak on their instrument; they speak with their soul through the pressures of the bow brushing the string. It's a mark of true talent when a fiddler can achieve this level of intricate improvisation, using the full range of sounds that can be made on their instrument. I never thought I'd hear someone else's improvisational language like this on a random RUclips video, but I'm so glad I did! This may be hard to enjoy for people who don't play these instruments, but as a fellow fiddler, it was fascinating to hear someone else's voice like this; to me its like a communion with God, thank you so much for taking the time to record this vulnerable moment and share it with us!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Probably the most beautiful piece I've hear in a long time. This is the closest I've seen someone get to fully expressing an emotion and story on such a gorgeous instrument without falling back on needlessly complex technique. This made me cry ^^

It's wonderful. Never thought that it was possible to extract these effects from a viola.

@@FOLKetljydarkiv This music sounds like examples of improvisational hardanger fiddle music I've heard before... haunting and mystical and darkly beautiful, like nature itself was creating it. I suspect that for someone unfamiliar with the style and genre, it just goes over their head. Too bad. I loved it... thank you for posting it, and kudos to Ms. Persdotter.

There's no such thing as "real music", music is universal and does not lie within the bounds of what is consciously "real" and "unreal", it is simply a projection of the heart through sound, as you will learn in time.

You’re like a movie critic, Augusto, you don’t create anything but you bring down the work of others
