anyone having a mental block with rotating their shoulders the whole way?? i can do it easy off my board but as soon as im on it i can barely rotate to a 90
Keep your head turning!! Starting out, pick some focal point behind you... That you will whip your head around to. This will ensure you get your shoulders around. Once muscle memory kicks in.... Forget about looking. Pay attention to weight shifting around to the switch position. The feet follow the shoulders....
Just go for it, you never know the outcome unless you go for it. I waited so long after the ollie to even try 180s when i just fully committed to trying them, it gets easier. Its been 3 months since you posted this, youre prolly a pro now lol
@@hawkwind769 THANK you!!! fs 180s have never been my strong suit, and within like an hour or so i landed 2 or 3 (sketchy) ones! they're not clean yet, but i'm pretty fucking sure i'll have em on lock by next week :))
Bro mad respect I love how you actually show us the wrong way Instead of just landing it perfect every time I see so many videos of people just playing the same clip over and over of a perfect trick. When teaching someone a trick it’s important to see the person do it wrong before doing it right if that makes sense 😂 anyway you did an amazing job great video thanks man keep it up!
Just popped my first FS 180 after watching this. Things I found to be crucial were 1) Comitting 2) shoulder rotation 3) finding foot position that was best for me Personally my feet being over the board was a MUST! Thank you, Sean. And good luck to everyone still learning
I love the other YT skate tutorials out there.....but you are the first one to TRULY cover why you can't ride away switch, and how to think of the trick too often, people make assumptions because they think everyone will do the trick the same. I'm big on thinking of skating in geometry terms, because it's so much easier that way knowing where to pivot is crucial....this is immensely helpful, thanks!!
Bro legit saved me so much time looking at bad tutorials, saw u for ollies, couldnt find u again, and im back! edit: Day 2: full rotation down, high, just cant roll away that cleanly
Hey man I was practicing this and managed to land it pivoting a bit on my nose I scooted my tail a bit but not too much Anyway I landed them then lost progress and went back to not pivoting I took a break from skateboarding but what would you recommend I do
Man this is amazing content. I bought the learning vids from Braille and your videos are such a great supplement to them. Just advising to work on my nose pivots is freaking genius. I noticed my progression in learning FS 180's getting way cleaner and more consistent. I'm going to keep working at it, thank you bro!
You earned new subscriber I haven’t skated since I broke my ankle skating and I’m still having problems with it but I watched this video and it has made me want to skate again thanks bro
that first problem is literally me, i was watching a tutorial where they say to have your feet like a varial heel, and then you use your front foot to guide the board, but i couldnt get enough rotation so i was landing diagonally, but treating it like a ollie with a revert in it seems so much easier
this helped a lot, i have more harder tricks than this and i never rlly got fs 180 and this video really help me to pivot with my nose and not my tail, thanks for the tips man❤️
This video really helped me with my FS 180s.At first i cant turn, and then the board wont turn with me. Now i can finally FS 180. Best tutorial ever!(for FS 180.)

Thank you for this advice. I'm getting them rolling, but I want to move to obstacles.

You’re so great at explaining everything and covering common mistakes!! Thank you so much.
