Listening to that Allis 180 for the governor to open on the plunger stroke, I remember one baling with our 180 diesel moving two heavy 12ft windrow's through a Allis 444 baler, 1st low range and it would drop 200-300 rpm's each time it hit.
Yes. I have an electric control on the tractor that will increase or decrease the speed of the thrower belts. The faster the thrower belts turn the farther the bale flies.
Rain??? What is this you speak of??? Lol.. a couple weeks ago we got almost 1/10"... Only measurable since June 10... Crazy!! Hay looks good! Some young lads to stack is always appreciated!!!
@@farmerpete worst year I remember is 2019... 2020 beat it for lack of rain, but the hay crops were better this year. 74 comes to mind, but I don't remember the crops being so light
Good day We are getting rain maybe 0nce a wk. up here. Boy the thrower comes in handy. Last Sat. there was auction, 2 Allis 45, 2 D-17 series IV, I didn;t go because we were told if your not buying , don;t go, The 1 45 went $3800. it was his father's yrs.ago other one went 1400. 17's went 1800, last one went 2100, but I looked after, 1 had 18-30 3 pt ht & pull out for 3 pt . I wish I would have went. Thanks
The ol' New Holland was really pumping out the bales. They looked pretty good. Glad to hear that you had some help putting the hay in the barn. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe.
Your fields are green after you cut them, must be some moisture in them still. Needed a week of rain to bring on the 2nd here, got almost 4 inches so far!
Always fun watching someone else make hay. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
👍👏👏👏
I like watching the kicker shoot bales in the trailer. Thanks for sharing
I see Dee implement on the baler, I only live about 25 minutes from their store!

Can you just how hard them balers throw?

Wow, that is crazy. Worst year I can remember was '88. Didn't rain from Mother's Day until the 4th of July. No corn that year.

Rake looks a lot better than last we saw it! I love haying.
In one piece is good!
Allis Chalmers produced some the greatest tractors ever made. Nice video, reminds me of my home in East Tennessee.
Thank you.
Nice video! Love seeing the AC 180 working! Your corn doesn't seem to have to many weeds in it- what's your secret? lol
Thanks! No secret, just the rotary hoe and cultivator.

Once a week is just about ideal. Would have been fun to see those old Allis' sell.

Thanks! The NH 316 was top shelf in it's day.

We're supposed to get some rain tomorrow.
The 180s and 185s are just the sweetest machines for small farm work. Hopefully your getting rain. Were really dry here in northeast Iowa.
Got half an inch yesterday. I agree, the 180 is a really handy size.
Next, I’m thinking I might need a 190XT. I’ve admired them since the ‘70s.
@@farmerpete we have a series 3 190XT as well. I really like it too. Nice operator's platform.
Looks great! The NH 316 is one of the best IMHO.
Thanks. I do like this baler.
Nothing wrong with "cheating" on getting help. Dry hay IN the barn and stacked is always the goal!
Yes. Once it's in the barn you can relax.
