Hey everyone. Another update. I've been helping many people out through my Discord as well as the RUclips comments. Here's what I've seen from other people that helped them out if this RUclips video doesn't work. - Try updating windows to the latest version - Update your graphics drivers to the latest version - Try allowing VALORANT and or Riot Vanguard through your firewall - Try to run the compatibility troubleshooter for VALORANT, (right click, properties, Compatibility tab, Run compatibility troubleshooter) - Try to disable your antivirus software - Try to run VALORANT with admin permissions - Try to uninstall / reinstall VALORANT and do any combination of the things I listed above. I hope this helps

All the props to the reddit usser Frixeer for figuring this out. The problem is on the nvidia drivers which are below 442.59 that don't have SHA2 Drivers which are sort of anticheats for w7. I'll quote Frixeer on this with his reasons that lead me into the fix of this: * 1. Both Esl and faceit cs:go anticheats require you to install sha2 windows 7 updates (imgur.com/a/WgxpE0t) (imgur.com/a/qNShJyy) * 2. There's a riot devblog about riot vanguard (na.leagueoflegends.com/en-us/news/dev/dev-null-anti-cheat-kernel-driver/) "In the last few years, cheat developers have started to leverage vulnerabilities or corrupt Windows’ signing verification to run their applications (or portions of them) at the kernel level." That seems seems to me like one of the usecases of sha2 (preventing corrupt signing verification) * 3. Hey guys, a quick little update: It seems to be that some people that get this error don't have Riot Vanguard installed, and it's the first time they installed VALORANT. Unfortunately the only fix I found was if you already installed the game and have Riot Vanguard installed. If you don't have Riot Vanguard installed I recommend you submit a ticket the Riot's support service. I'm sorry that the video didn't help you out.
There is an easy way to fix that problem... Just get the free tool "revo uninstaller".. this tool is looking for leftovers in the registry of windows and u can delete it.. after that u can just install valorant and it should work
@@Berkay-qz7ds so you removed every piece of the riot vanguard of the registry plus doing the cmd commands from the vid and reinstalled valorant as administrator and it still didn't work?

Every Body lisen to this, i had the same problem ,but all you have to do is restart your computer and right click valorant icon and click run as administrator.
Guys I contacted Riot Games and they said they received lot of reports of this bug and their developers are working on it. So in a few days this should be fixed. No need to report this problem. Just to let you know ;)
Wow I waited for 2 weeks for game key. I might go insane with another few days ahaha hahaha. Some people probably waited for more than 2 weeks just to play and now I got slap with the you shell not pass meme.

SOLUTION !!! The problem is that the computer's system cannot recognize the Vanguard file. Get this update from Microsoft's own site 32bit www.microsoft.com/tr-tr/download/details.aspx?id=13939 64bit www.microsoft.com/tr-tr/download/details.aspx?id=46148

For those who cannot even install Vanguard - so firstly, this video works. But its the steps you have to do AFTER Vanguard has been installed. I got this error BEFORE Vanguard was installed, and I fixed it. Yay my Computer Science degree! I'm gonna share the solution here for those with the same issue. It can get a little hectic but its a one time thing and after that you will be able to play Valorant. So firstly, the biggest problem with this solution is you're going to need a second computer, or someone who already has the game, to download the corrupt file. I will explain why, but you're going to need it OR if you have a friend who already has Valorant working on his computer, that will work too. Solution: Download the game on another computer, don't worry if the computer is not good enough to run the game because we aren't going to actually play on it. Download the game and install it at the default location. It should finish without giving this error on that computer. When it does, go to C:\Program Files and find the folder called "Riot Vanguard". Its a very small folder in size, copy it in pendrive. If your friend has the game, copy the folder from his computer. After that, on your main computer where you want to play the game, paste the folder in C:\Program Files. NOTE: you must have the game installed until that error point on your computer. If you uninstalled it, install it again and wait for the error to occur. When it does, close the installer. Then paste the folder as I told you. After that, restart your computer and open the Valorant icon from your desktop. It will launch the installer again, but the error will be fixed and you will see "PLAY" button. Once you click that, the game will launch. But then it will say Vanguard is not initialised, so click "Reboot PC". After that launch the game again, if it works! hurray! If it doesn't work, follow this video from this point. Uninstall Vanguard from Control Panel, then from CMD, then restart your PC, then delete the "Riot Vanguard" folder from C:\Program Files. After that, right click on the game icon and "run as administrator". It should work. If it says "Reboot PC" again, you might have to do that for one last time but after that it should work. Extra notes: I recommend installing the game at the default install location that is C:\Riot Games. Also, if you're as unlucky as I am, you might have to put your Windows into "Disable Driver Signature" mode. If you search for tutorials, there are many, but for me only the 'going into BIOS by pressing F8 before the windows logo during reboot method and then disabling driver signature' method works. The CMD methods for that don't work in my case. It may be just my computer because it happened with my older GPU drivers too. If that's the case, you may have to boot into that mode everytime you start your PC using the BIOS method if you want to play Valorant. I'm not sure if you need to do it everytime because I haven't tested it. But you probably will need to otherwise there's a chance of Vanguard stopping to work. Let me know if this works, and if you need any help reply to this comment.

Hm if the game is working but you're experiencing frame drops I can reccomend basic things to try to clean your computer, like using CCleaner to clear out any files, and doing research on how to make your PC run faster. Also making sure to not have any unnecessary processes open while playing Valorant, like Chrome.

Another problem I had with Valorant is that it didn't launch. Gave me an error code. I did this same exact method and it works! Share this with everyone who is having a problem with Valorant. 100% legit. I also did this method on my brother's computer and it worked as well. This man is a life saver.

First of all uninstall the game delete everything Then what you need to do is update windows for these two update -security updates KB4474419 and KB4490628 then update graphic drivers then install again you will not face any problem This is 100% solution
Thanks bro it worked for me. If it can't be deleted, end the task in advance of all the game riots or valorant programs through the task manager. after that try uninstalling again. And dont forget to update ur windows system
For all the ppl who dont have riot vanguard installed, i have 2 solutions: 1: try to update your windows by clicking the "Start" button and type:"windows update". Check many times to make sure that you have fully updated windows. Then open valorant and it should automatically install riot vanguard 2: make sure that your computer have enough space for vanguard to be installed I tried and it worked Im using win7

Ive been trying for hours and i cant even find riot vanguard in my files even after restarting my pc. Im so confused as to why it wont download the vanguard program..
Lebrac I figured it out , for some reason the new pc I got was running a 32 bit version of Windows 10 lol so I just clean installed the 64 bit and it worked perfectly!
Easy, I followed the video steps at 1:33, turn off the game launcher, uninstalled "riot vanguard" and the game installed vanguard again and now it works. Ez! thank you.
This only happen if you are using windows 7 the same thing happened to me so i upgraded my windows from 7 to windows 10 and it was fixed hope this will help you also

We're in July and this bug is still going on. i'm getting the same exact error, but Riot Vanguard isn't installed on my pc. Is there a new fix for this?
Everything is working but when I try deleting my Vanguard files, it says it cannot be deleted because it is being run in another program. I have nothing open when trying to delete the files. I checked the task manager and there's nothing.
try checking if vanguard is open in the bottom right side of your screen, a lot of the time vanguard when valorant isn't open is still opened, you can hover over the icons to see which one is vangaurd, then right click, and hit exit/end program, hope this helped, if not, try reseting your computer, it should end the program.
Hey, I used to always use this process to fix this issue as it often comes up and this solution works perfectly every time. But a recent update caused this solution to not work anymore and now the riot client keeps telling me to restart to install vanguard after I delete it except every time I restart, it just stays there and doesn't install vanguard after restarting. I would have to completely uninstall valorant (as well as Vanguard) and reinstall it to fix it. That is inefficient. if you can, could you explain a solution? Thanks.
i have this error yesterday in my windows 7 pc. i am install windows 10 to my pc and install valorent. the game was working. only you need to install windwos 10 and install game.play.enjoy

Hey! It's simple! In your task bar, there is a little arrow near to the network/ sound logo. Click on it and it will open a little window with a lots of openned apps. Search the Riot Vanguard one, do a right click on it and, instead of uninstall it, just click on exit. After that, you will normally be able to delete the Riot Vanguard files. I had the same problem and I've resolved it few minutes ago by following this tutorial and making this little action ;) (In my opinion, the vgc and vgk files aren't on Riot Vanguard files anymore, so when you download a patch, the game didn't really know which files is the good one) Hoping it will help you ;)

One more thing I didn't see in the vid, make sure that you open the hidden tray and exit out of vanguard. The system won't delete the files if they're still open. That was the one thing I kept missing when trying to fix this.

For those who cannot even install Vanguard - so firstly, this video works. But its the steps you have to do AFTER Vanguard has been installed. I got this error BEFORE Vanguard was installed, and I fixed it. Yay my Computer Science degree! I'm gonna share the solution here for those with the same issue. It can get a little hectic but its a one time thing and after that you will be able to play Valorant.
So firstly, the biggest problem with this solution is you're going to need a second computer, or someone who already has the game, to download the corrupt file. I will explain why, but you're going to need it OR if you have a friend who already has Valorant working on his computer, that will work too.
Solution: Download the game on another computer, don't worry if the computer is not good enough to run the game because we aren't going to actually play on it. Download the game and install it at the default location. It should finish without giving this error on that computer. When it does, go to C:\Program Files and find the folder called "Riot Vanguard". Its a very small folder in size, copy it in pendrive. If your friend has the game, copy the folder from his computer.
After that, on your main computer where you want to play the game, paste the folder in C:\Program Files. NOTE: you must have the game installed until that error point on your computer. If you uninstalled it, install it again and wait for the error to occur. When it does, close the installer. Then paste the folder as I told you. After that, restart your computer and open the Valorant icon from your desktop. It will launch the installer again, but the error will be fixed and you will see "PLAY" button. Once you click that, the game will launch. But then it will say Vanguard is not initialised, so click "Reboot PC". After that launch the game again, if it works! hurray! If it doesn't work, follow this video from this point. Uninstall Vanguard from Control Panel, then from CMD, then restart your PC, then delete the "Riot Vanguard" folder from C:\Program Files. After that, right click on the game icon and "run as administrator". It should work. If it says "Reboot PC" again, you might have to do that for one last time but after that it should work.
Extra notes: I recommend installing the game at the default install location that is C:\Riot Games. Also, if you're as unlucky as I am, you might have to put your Windows into "Disable Driver Signature" mode. If you search for tutorials, there are many, but for me only the 'going into BIOS by pressing F8 before the windows logo during reboot method and then disabling driver signature' method works. The CMD methods for that don't work in my case. It may be just my computer because it happened with my older GPU drivers too. If that's the case, you may have to boot into that mode everytime you start your PC using the BIOS method if you want to play Valorant. I'm not sure if you need to do it everytime because I haven't tested it. But you probably will need to otherwise there's a chance of Vanguard stopping to work.

Hm if the game is working but you're experiencing frame drops I can reccomend basic things to try to clean your computer, like using CCleaner to clear out any files, and doing research on how to make your PC run faster. Also making sure to not have any unnecessary processes open while playing Valorant, like Chrome.

Another problem I had with Valorant is that it didn't launch. Gave me an error code. I did this same exact method and it works! Share this with everyone who is having a problem with Valorant. 100% legit. I also did this method on my brother's computer and it worked as well. This man is a life saver.

First of all uninstall the game delete everything
Then what you need to do is update windows for these two update -security updates KB4474419 and KB4490628 then update graphic drivers then install again you will not face any problem

Thanks bro it worked for me. If it can't be deleted, end the task in advance of all the game riots or valorant programs through the task manager. after that try uninstalling again.

For all the ppl who dont have riot vanguard installed, i have 2 solutions:
1: try to update your windows by clicking the "Start" button and type:"windows update". Check many times to make sure that you have fully updated windows. Then open valorant and it should automatically install riot vanguard
2: make sure that your computer have enough space for vanguard to be installed

Ok if it’s telling you Access denied it means you forgot to run the cmd as a manager
you need to disable secure boot or run as admin
I assumed you were going to uninstall the vangaurd so I prematurely pressed uninstall and that’s what actually fixed it

Lebrac I figured it out , for some reason the new pc I got was running a 32 bit version of Windows 10 lol so I just clean installed the 64 bit and it worked perfectly!

Everything is working but when I try deleting my Vanguard files, it says it cannot be deleted because it is being run in another program. I have nothing open when trying to delete the files. I checked the task manager and there's nothing.
try checking if vanguard is open in the bottom right side of your screen, a lot of the time vanguard when valorant isn't open is still opened, you can hover over the icons to see which one is vangaurd, then right click, and hit exit/end program, hope this helped, if not, try reseting your computer, it should end the program.

Hey, I used to always use this process to fix this issue as it often comes up and this solution works perfectly every time. But a recent update caused this solution to not work anymore and now the riot client keeps telling me to restart to install vanguard after I delete it except every time I restart, it just stays there and doesn't install vanguard after restarting. I would have to completely uninstall valorant (as well as Vanguard) and reinstall it to fix it. That is inefficient. if you can, could you explain a solution? Thanks.

Hey! It's simple! In your task bar, there is a little arrow near to the network/ sound logo. Click on it and it will open a little window with a lots of openned apps. Search the Riot Vanguard one, do a right click on it and, instead of uninstall it, just click on exit. After that, you will normally be able to delete the Riot Vanguard files.
I had the same problem and I've resolved it few minutes ago by following this tutorial and making this little action ;)
(In my opinion, the vgc and vgk files aren't on Riot Vanguard files anymore, so when you download a patch, the game didn't really know which files is the good one)

Try to contact the support team and tell them what you've already done and about this methode ;)
One more thing I didn't see in the vid, make sure that you open the hidden tray and exit out of vanguard. The system won't delete the files if they're still open. That was the one thing I kept missing when trying to fix this.
