(I played a short 15 minute kovaak routine before playing). During the 3 days, I mostly just hit my shots and could think really clearly. QOTD: Know when to play passively and when to play aggressively. One of the reasons why I always die in Valo is because I'm too impatient. As long as you're not an entry dualist, take your time in entering sites. Check corners, lurk if you have to, and start to be aggressive when you know it's the right time to be aggressive. Playing passive-aggresively is one of the best playstyles you can do in Valorant and in any FPS Game overall
I’d have to say a good tip for me has to do with the shooting mechanics of the game. Really drill into yourself the idea of stopping, and tap firing and just learning when to tap and when to spray. I felt like once I got that down I started performing incredibly well.
yes!! so many people get way too offensive/aggressive when playing defenders side, and then the enemy team has a much easier time pushing and killing us off.
QOTD: Try every agent you have available, give it a few games each. When you tried all, then have a talk with yourself about what you like about the game. Do you like fragging? Pick a duelist you like. Do you like to have good impact to hold down an area? Play sentinel. And so on, when you got your agent down, master that agent and in the mean time, you learn ins and outs not only about the game, But about yourself.
@@kevinthomas1891 indeed, I used to main sage and omen until I reached silver 2. Then a friend of mine told me that he reached immortal mining killjoy and I decided to give it a try. Now i basically only play killjoy (obv with the widejoy banner) and I'm having a ton of fun in p2
QOTD: develop a habit/instict of turning away from a flash. You'll throw a lot of players off guard with this technique and will be able to win a lot more fights
Hard to do, in csgo i can hear a clack and it makes me reflex to turn around, but in valo im not used to turn around to a bird or something flying in front of me
@@malimeefr Nah because its harder to notice something lighting up on a the wall rather than something that is thrown, it make sense since breach was underpowerred
wouldn't looking DOWN be better than turning around? flashes can generally travel a far horizontal distance so it's possible that by turning around you end up with the flash flying in front of your face....
QOTD : if you are new, hit the shooting range with the strafing option not the speed challenge this will help you with tracking enemies for better aim. The speed challenge becomes important as you become better in the game later on. also hit the range a lot like challenge yourself to lesser time to eliminate the 50 bots you get (it helps with flicking).
Yes, anticipation decreases your reaction time but only applies on a set amount of time, also applies if you are holding an angle with an operator, the first 5 seconds will be your fastest reaction time
Also: If a teammate is just spamming or talking smack, they're never going to say anything useful. Just mute them. Don't worry about missing their callouts, because they're not gonna make any
5 out of 6 matches I've played recently (I'm still unranked because competitive isn't unlocked yet), all my teammates keep their microphones muted. The chatbox is incredibly clean with only the broadcast messages.
QOTD: mess around in a custom match or at the range when you get new agents. If you have friends who play, play around with the new agent in a custom match with them, and have on infinite abilities.
my tip: Change your map settings so it's zoomed out enough to see the entire map and have it locked in position at all times. it makes it much easier to quickly glance at the map for info.
QOTD: When you are trying to get headshots, don't look at your crosshair, look at the enemy's head, this will make your eyes lock your target instead of pressuring yourself with crosshair placement.
my prefeeence is to look THROUGH my cross hair at my enemy’s head i can’t rly explain it but it’s like i get my left eye to look at the crosshair and my right to look past it at their head
Tip: Don’t be so aggressive if you’re defending post plant especially if you’re outnumbered. Instead, defend the spike and make the other team take the risks and having to take the chance of being vulnerable to defuse. Hide so that they’re paranoid where you are and creep out only to defend the spike. If you’re too aggro, the enemies have a better chance of killing you and then having time left over to defuse. So many newer players seem to screw this up when all they needed to do was delay the defuse to win the round.
Prefire!! when I started pre firing a lot more I want to say I started picking up a lot more kills, it feels like it also goes along with your reaction time as your not just sitting waiting to see an enemy but your actively shooting using game sense and it made me feel like my reaction time improved when some one does come into line of sight.
QOTD: Sticking with a role helps you. (EX: I always play sentinel and I main cypher.) Don't let this stop you from choosing other agents from other roles, since exploring would be fun too. It would help you know what other agent's skills are and what's the pros and cons of playing that agent.
tip that i found usefull is when you have to clutch the round and you get scanned by sova dart or anything that gave away your position, theres no reason for you to shift anymore. Start playing agressive before they clamp up and trade you off
Tip 20 I agree with so much in every game I play. I would much rather play with teammates on their best Characters/Heros/Agents then meta. Most people can't play everything at their best.
QOTD: Im a new player but there are some stuff which are making me improve significantly and much faster: 1: Watch Pro gameplay 2: Have a friend whom u can communicate with really well and is available pretty often 3: Enter a Death match and Play *ONLY* Classic then only Shorty then frenzy-Until Odin This will help u discover the weapons u r Good with but Dont try often. 4: Enter Spike rush and try agents u dont play often and discover ur true best agent 5- Try to learn all the mechanics and find the best setting and *KeyBinds* Mine for example are *EXTREMELY* weird but somehow suit me *very* well I hope those help u :D “Im a noob Iron-Bronze” ... XD
The tip to use a ult when you have it helped me alot because i was always so scared to use it bc i thought i would die, but now i started to apply this tip and got way better!
@Leon Barua instead of walking straight you move horizontally and put your crosshair where you expect the enemy for example while using w key you walk straight then look left or right don't do that instead look left then walk with d key or look right and move with a and keep cross hair where you expect the enemy
QOTD: There are so many things you can learn besides your aim, and your aim won’t always be the one thing that holds you back Look at the Controller-Judge-Cypher dude
QOTD: The earlier you discover your strong points and weak points in the game, the better. For example, If you have a great aim tajd crosshair placement but you lack knowledge of timings, lineups etc, you may start maining duelists. On the other side, if you lack great aim but you can learn lineups, timings and map awareness easily, you should pick up controller or initiator. In adittion to this, I'd recommend maining roles instead of agents alone. If you learn how to play a whole role to perfection, you may win lots of games just based on your skill. In adittion to this, knowing a complete role should allow you to pick the best agent for each match in order to fulfill the role, giving your team a huge advantage.
QOTD: I would tell new players to keep there crosshairs at head level, and to stay calm and not get mad when you’re losing, don’t run while shooting because your bullets spray is gonna be terrible just some things that I’ve told my friends that are starting valo now
One of my biggest Tips i can give for new Players is the Crosshair placement on Head area ( its basic but yeah) and also play with Agents you like not with the Strongest, if you play with a agent you like it makes for fun and this makes you more accuracy during the whole game
Tip from my experience: If you’re going to have a main agent, you’ve GOT to have a backup. Instalockers are everywhere, and if your agent happens to be chosen before you, you’ll need to pick another agent. One that you’re comfortable with and know how to play well. Knowing how to properly use your agents skills and abilities is crucial to good gameplay.
its true! i was shocked when i found that other people had way above sens than i did and honestly a low sens is so much better as to not over flick/aim the enemies head
BEST TIP: just be nice. Being nice to your team can encourage them to play better. If you’re toxic they won’t play as good and might even leave game. If someone is being toxic to you or your team, don’t talk to them just mute them. “But what if they are giving info?” Having a good mental is the most important thing even more important then info. Just be nice to the team.
By changing the sensitivity to be slower and always aiming at head height, you can really go from bad to the average good player. For the sensitivity put your mouse on the edge of where you normally can have it and drag it all the way across to the other side, it needs to make 180 degrees distance, if it does more lower it, if less make it more. That makes you capable of easier to never overshoot people when aiming torwards them.
QOTD: Learn how to spray. Always test it out in the range. What I usually like to do is start from the head and pull down to below their feet cause those coming from games like COD and overwatch don't get how the recoil works and that it can go outside the crosshair.
QOTD: always put your crosshair to head level and train in the range until you are used to it, also get your reaction time to be as fast as you can, 1 more thing is to always stay calm since you need to plan your attack or defends on every round
I guess a good tip is unless you're an fps veteran valorant takes time. Don't be harsh on yourself if you're struggling. Keep the grind going keep your mental up and you'll improve in no time.
Not exactly the same but I started valorant not long ago and I literally made a second account to unlock agents faster (cos of the first two being fast af) just so I can know what my opponent agents can do. 3 more agents to unlock baby.
I started valor ant earlier this year as I got my first pc . After playing shooter games for 5 years my recommendation for valor ant is unlike other shooting games where you can be aggressive , this game you being passive will impact you positively . :)
my tip on the hold scope, you dont need to do that when your scoped just press your inspect button (default y) it will scope out with no delay and you can scope in again. i find it useful with the op since you need to click twice to get out (if your still in the first zoom)
Most helpful too I've gotten outta any Valorant video "Get out of the if I can't see them, they can't see me mindset" since unknowingly getting called out for that though process, and actively working on holding angles better. Been Poppin 20ks each game.
For Tip 27, it is not necessary if the teammate survived, then you are safe. There are a lot of people who wait for more enemies to come and since the first teammate didn't check the corner, the other's wont check them either.
new to the game but I've been in firing range just getting the timing down of shooting and tapping and putting in time. Helps a lot and being positive helps too.
QOTD: Isolate you 1v1s. Simply consciously thinking of this leads to so many clutches. It's something we all do, but actually putting in thought makes stopping pushes a breeze
most useful tip I have for new players is if you came from cod, get used to aim less, if you came from CS, get used to aim more the frequency and moments you aim in valorant aren't really like any other fps (that I've played at least) so it's something that unless you learn and get used early on is going to be a pain to adapt later
QOTD: learning to talk to your teammates and learn simple but informative callouts can help you and your team way more than you'd expect. I play with a set team ajd my main is cypher, they know that when i say "walls" they know to look towards me as i've tagged an enemy. Talking with your team and getting information across fast will help you a lot in valorant.
one tip when enemy is peeking and watching at you,you should put your crosshair close to a wall so when he peeks you shoot but when enemy is not looking you, you should put it little bit more than normally like this : +=crosshair | = wall | | + | |
I have about 20 hours in valorant and if you go into range with breach use his ult on the practice bots to push them to one side. Then shoot 3 of them and you’ll have basically kovaaks in valorant keep 3 bots on and every time you shoot on it’ll spawn randomly.
QOTD: everyone has flaws and things you have to work on. although you should keep this in mind, you should always try and enhance and utilise the things you *are* good at! ive never had the best aim, but i have really good utility usage and lurking ability! so instead of spending hours in the range trying to improve my aim, i use my utility more in gunfights and lurk (accordingly) to catch enemies off guard and get easy kills to win rounds. pick an agent that benefits off of what you are good at! since i like lurking, i play controllers (viper, astra) so i can help my teammates take mid/site control while also getting kills for myself :)
I approve of any video telling people not to fill. Play your role. Play your agent. Master it, learn line ups, have strats for each map on each site. Then learn a new agent
if you use brimstone look in the sky smoke and aim at where it spawns, shoot your molly at it and if there's nothing in the way it should land where the smoke is. this may take a bit a skill but its pretty easy to het the hang of.
qotd: i used to crouch every time i started to shoot someone. yes, it helps recoil, but if you’re crouched, but if you have multiple people on you getting out and having fluid mobility while simply learning spray control is so much more beneficial that crouching and being committed in one place. i only crouch during a gunfight if i’ve been on someone or a while and i’m not hitting my shots or if they may have a headshot angle in me
Spike takes 4 secs to plant, and it takes 7 secs to defuse. Therefore, if someone taps the bomb, wait TWO SECONDS BEFORE PEEKING. That way they can’t half defuse and you can catch them mid defuse if they’re defusing, or see if they’re on bomb or not

From Silver to Plat in a week and a half? How? Like my aim is decent, not good or bad, and I use utility in a way I have seen pros do and I improved a bit I am almost back to silver 3 but any tips my guy?
@@limafleksa I mostly played Reyna and Sage. Funnily enough, in the 3 days where I performed my best, I got less than 7 hours of sleep.
I woke up everyday and did my workout, then ate breakfast after. I called my duo on and we went to play. I actually match and team mvp’d a majority of the games. (I played a short 15 minute kovaak routine before playing).
During the 3 days, I mostly just hit my shots and could think really clearly. It might’ve been the “zone” but during my grind from s2 to p1, I actually enjoyed the game most of the time and it didn’t even feel like I was actually trying.
@@derpzu5838 Ohh cool I have a group of friends I play with mostly a 5 stack and we have fun. And I feel like I have the right angles, my movement is on point, and sometimes even my shots, but we still sometimes lose xD, I am also a Sage main and a KayO main and I have fun most of the times. But the difference with me is that I practice in the ingame range for like 5 minutes maybe 10 before a game with a aim practice I made my self. Kinda works but I have like stuff to do irl almost every day and I can play at late of night most times and I am tired. Maybe that is holding me back xD
@@derpzu5838 But that is really impressive I've got to say, almost too good to be true xD
@@limafleksa haha thanks. I’d recommend doing the same thing every morning when you wake up until you play. That’s what I did during the 3 days and I’m getting more and more consistent gameplay
I felt like once I got that down I started performing incredibly well.
yup I agree
QOTD: You don’t always have to push out when defending !! sit back and let them come to you. set up and get ready for them
I like this tip, and it is very true except for the fact of peekers advantage. A good player knows how to sit back on defence but also when to peek
You should always peak then go sit in angle to confuse and panic enemy till then ppl from odr sites can come to give cover
yes!! so many people get way too offensive/aggressive when playing defenders side, and then the enemy team has a much easier time pushing and killing us off.
Apac server: im gonna pretend i didn't see that
QOTD: Try every agent you have available, give it a few games each. When you tried all, then have a talk with yourself about what you like about the game. Do you like fragging? Pick a duelist you like. Do you like to have good impact to hold down an area? Play sentinel. And so on, when you got your agent down, master that agent and in the mean time, you learn ins and outs not only about the game, But about yourself.
underrated comment
@@kevinthomas1891 indeed, I used to main sage and omen until I reached silver 2. Then a friend of mine told me that he reached immortal mining killjoy and I decided to give it a try. Now i basically only play killjoy (obv with the widejoy banner) and I'm having a ton of fun in p2
@@massimovolpe1343 opinion on that banner getting patched?

QOTD: develop a habit/instict of turning away from a flash. You'll throw a lot of players off guard with this technique and will be able to win a lot more fights
Hard to do, in csgo i can hear a clack and it makes me reflex to turn around, but in valo im not used to turn around to a bird or something flying in
front of me
I can avoid many flashes but breach's flash it's a fuckin broken agent just like his friend raze
Qotd understanding the game fundamentals and having a mindset for keep improving can help you become a better player
How is that a question exactly?
@@flatkunn I reached mid elo due to having a consistent mindset
Yes, anticipation decreases your reaction time but only applies on a set amount of time, also applies if you are holding an angle with an operator, the first 5 seconds will be your fastest reaction time
QOTD: practice with single shot guns like sheriff and guardian, they help you train crosshair placement and lining up headshots vs just spamming
QOTD: Dont expect having nice and usefull teammates! Dont worry about muting players!
Also: If a teammate is just spamming or talking smack, they're never going to say anything useful. Just mute them. Don't worry about missing their callouts, because they're not gonna make any
QOTD: try to use all your abilities every round, might take a toll on economy but will win you more gunfights
tip: Communication is everything. Say what you hear, say which area can be already with enemies, say your intentions.
I'd say 90% of players struggle with communicating effectively
5 out of 6 matches I've played recently (I'm still unranked because competitive isn't unlocked yet), all my teammates keep their microphones muted. The chatbox is incredibly clean with only the broadcast messages.
i didnt know 40. the one with the ultimate orb
that is sick amma try to use it in the future to determine their place
QOTD: mess around in a custom match or at the range when you get new agents. If you have friends who play, play around with the new agent in a custom match with them, and have on infinite abilities.
QOTD: Always Aim for the head when you start even if you not good at first. It will help with muscle memory and will help you in the long run
my tip: Change your map settings so it's zoomed out enough to see the entire map and have it locked in position at all times. it makes it much easier to quickly glance at the map for info.
One if my tips is to before playing any gamemode, you should go to a custom game and practice your abilities and aim/tracking, it helps me a lot!
QOTD: Im a new player but there are some stuff which are making me improve significantly and much faster:
1: Watch Pro gameplay
2: Have a friend whom u can communicate with really well and is available pretty often
3: Enter a Death match and Play *ONLY* Classic then only Shorty then frenzy-Until Odin This will help u discover the weapons u r Good with but Dont try often.
4: Enter Spike rush and try agents u dont play often and discover ur true best agent
5- Try to learn all the mechanics and find the best setting and *KeyBinds* Mine for example are *EXTREMELY* weird but somehow suit me *very* well
I hope those help u :D
“Im a noob Iron-Bronze” ... XD
yeah most of those arent good tips, but it makes sense coming from an iron player
if you are iron you arent at position to give tips
@@uzuwi9782 ego
The tip to use a ult when you have it helped me alot because i was always so scared to use it bc i thought i would die, but now i started to apply this tip and got way better!
0:40 use a and d key more than w key for movement
@Leon Barua instead of walking straight you move horizontally and put your crosshair where you expect the enemy for example while using w key you walk straight then look left or right don't do that instead look left then walk with d key or look right and move with a and keep cross hair where you expect the enemy
QOTD: There are so many things you can learn besides your aim, and your aim won’t always be the one thing that holds you back
Look at the Controller-Judge-Cypher dude
QOTD: By far keeping Crosshair head level is the most useful tip, I did end up getting more headshot when I got used to the Crosshair placement
How is that a question exactly?
@@flatkunn he answered the question lmao
@@flatkunn I answered the questions in the video, did you not watch the video
Tip from my experience:
If you’re going to have a main agent, you’ve GOT to have a backup. Instalockers are everywhere, and if your agent happens to be chosen before you, you’ll need to pick another agent. One that you’re comfortable with and know how to play well. Knowing how to properly use your agents skills and abilities is crucial to good gameplay.
As someone coming from console to pc, TURN DOWN YOUR SENSE. I it feels weird at first, but it improves aim almost instantly
its true! i was shocked when i found that other people had way above sens than i did and honestly a low sens is so much better as to not over flick/aim the enemies head
Me in unrated: literal god, always headshots, taking angles
Me in ranked: my skill: *aight i ma head out*
Like literally idk why is this happening
Since u have the pressure of losing points(rank down)
so tru but its prob that people in ranked actually have a brain
@@kinniecas9004 *only the enemy team* cuz my teammates make me lose my braincells 😂
Astonishing content! Keep it up :3
The most helpful tip without question for new val players is, aim for the head. Not even kidding it made my game 10 times better.
This is the exact type of video format I was looking for, reels weren't doing it for me. Great work!!
QOTD: mute people who don't make callouts in the first 2 rounds.
They always end up being toxic anyways :(
Everyone in iron:
the only duelist (5:00)? currently i keep getting matched with duelist mostly haha
QOTD: Have fun, idk about the others but my friends and I win more games when we are just having fun laughing and trashtalking each other 🤣🤣🤣
I've noticed I play a lot better since I stopped caring so much about ranking up
I guess a good tip is unless you're an fps veteran valorant takes time. Don't be harsh on yourself if you're struggling. Keep the grind going keep your mental up and you'll improve in no time.
QOTD: TEST ALL AGENTS and choose one to one trick, but if you one trick a highly picked agent try to main another agent.
Not exactly the same but I started valorant not long ago and I literally made a second account to unlock agents faster (cos of the first two being fast af) just so I can know what my opponent agents can do. 3 more agents to unlock baby.
@@chanmalichan4946 you can practice all agents (locked and unlocked) in training range then unlock the onw you feel the best with
I started valor ant earlier this year as I got my first pc .
Or just use hold and not toggle, it’s better and faster anyway
I actually laughed when he said “unless you’re a Jett main, then you can just do what you want.”
most useful tip I have for new players is
if you came from cod, get used to aim less, if you came from CS, get used to aim more
the frequency and moments you aim in valorant aren't really like any other fps (that I've played at least) so it's something that unless you learn and get used early on is going to be a pain to adapt later
That jiggle to wide peek is a neat one
My tip of the day is to definitely try out skill capped courses they're amazing :)
this was like the most information I got out of a video about valorant. AWSM
Hey man just wanted to say thanks for the tip i look foward to using them in game keep doing what your doing thankyou
I didn't think I'd learn anything I didn't already know but King really came through!

Also me: *Misses every headshots on enemies.*
Holy- the orb one was a huge surprise to me😂
8:53 there may not be a skybox but there is a sky pixel that you can use the make a rough estimate
one tip when enemy is peeking and watching at you,you should put your crosshair close to a wall so when he peeks you shoot but when enemy is not looking you, you should put it little bit more than normally
like this :
+=crosshair | = wall
|
|
+ |
|
100% worthy of a like
thanks man
The most helpful tip I have is that planning, strategy, and generally just thinking goes a long way.
I literally slept two times watching your video 😂
Idk why
Or maybe both times I was very tired
I have to watch the video again 😂
talk shit next time
QOTD: when you see a oppenet close to you dont squat but if its far you can squat
One tipp/saying that really helped me.
"Slow is safe and safe is fast!"
THE KING LIVE! 🥳
these are good tips! and tips you can use in other games like apex, overwatch, and siege
Yo this vid is helpful im subbing
if you use brimstone look in the sky smoke and aim at where it spawns, shoot your molly at it and if there's nothing in the way it should land where the smoke is. this may take a bit a skill but its pretty easy to het the hang of.

First vidoe of King I watched and it's better than all of sgt frost
Thankyou this has really helped
qotd: i used to crouch every time i started to shoot someone. yes, it helps recoil, but if you’re crouched, but if you have multiple people on you getting out and having fluid mobility while simply learning spray control is so much more beneficial that crouching and being committed in one place. i only crouch during a gunfight if i’ve been on someone or a while and i’m not hitting my shots or if they may have a headshot angle in me
i love oyu skillcaped

That marshal and sheriff tip was really the fact me being a marshal user, now i know why sometimes my shots miss
