    Watching the manure being spread takes me back to when I was that age and spreading manure with my 1952 Minneapolis Moline. When I was in highschool my Ag Shop and I overhauled it with my class as a semester project. Now that I am 55 I still use it almost every day. I could never get rid of it. It is like that very first girlfriend to me. I'm getting ever closer to getting a round baler.... You're starting to convince me Alan....

    Watching Justin spread manure, took me back to 1952 when I ws taught to spread manure with a 1951 Ford 8N and a 4 wheel ground drive Sears & Roebuck spreader, I was 7 years old. Nice to see you teaching the kids how to do things around the farm and how to do them safely. Keep the videos coming Alan.

    I was that age when I run equipment for my Dad! Cows won't eat where you spread manure! That's how we kept them away from the fence, spread a load of manure along the fence line! What's the chance of rain-40 percent, that mean 60 percent it won't rain, mow hay!! (doesn't always work that way!)

    Looks like the hay we make here in the hills of NY. We call that hill hay, it varies from year to year, on good years it has more clover in it. My angus cows would love that hay you are making. Good to see your son learning to run his tractor. I started on my older brothers John Deere B when I was 9 years old, driving the dump cart while others picked stones. Later I got promoted to picker. LOL.

Nice to see Justin's getting out there and helping you out thanks for the video.

    Hey Alan guy here in Western PA. Been talking to you off and on for the last year year and a half about that BN that we restored. I have a young man that works for me a little bit that has a channel on RUclips called Ford farming if you can find him, you will see some shots of him cultivating with our bn and also we have some shots of the c and it's cultivators. He's also got some of us in there combining with our old gleaner, and some guys from our local farm show cutting boats with a binder for the threshing demonstrations that will take place next week during our county farm show. Hope you're able to find those.

    If he can t reach the pedals and controls from the seat than he is a safety hazard and you know it.

    • @trinitydairy
      @trinitydairy  2 года назад +2

      If he was on the John Deere, yes, it would be a safety hazard. On the 9N, they can always just stand up to push the pedals down. That's why a lot of farms had 8N and 9N tractors for their kids to use.

      @@trinitydairy Probably want you to put those kids in bubble wrap too. My dad had me on an A John Deere raking hay when I was 9. Sorry can't help myself some of these comments here are really uncalled for. Do they really think you would jeopardize the safety of your children??
