Good to see the Nina storyline getting back on track without all the silly Abi and Asha derailments. Kelly has always been a grey character but I think the actress does a great job at giving us mixed feelings about her.

If you didn’t know this storyline is actually inspired by a true one. Back in 2007 Sophie Lancaster was with her boyfriend in a park when they were attacked. Simply for dressing differently beaten bloody unconscious and left to die. They were found ambulances were called and they were taken to hospital. The two were badly injured and in deep comas. Her boyfriend woke up and eventually started to recover from his injuries. But Sophie’s were to severe and so her life support was switched off. The way anyone could kill someone just for being themselves is shocking. Her mother said that the foundation made in her daughters memory gets told every week someone’s been attacked for the way they dress. It’s just vile and awful the abuse some people go through for being who they are.
I don’t know, I know Kelly left her and Seb for dead in the end but I mean, it’s a tricky one. I wouldn’t say Kelly deserved to be left there but she doesn’t deserve to be forgiven either I don’t think.
I think hate crime is more better than this I think these new gangs are more awful to see this. But also these horrible men did to poor nina it similar as Corey brent do in hate crime. This is late but this gang definitely isn’t worse than Corey’s. Sure they harassed Kelly and poured beer over her but they didn’t beat her. Corey and his friends on the other hand beat the hell out of Nina and Seb. Kicked their heads in and stamped on their heads. Then once they were done ran off leaving them unconscious and bleeding in the street. Corey kicked the actual life out of Seb because he died as a result of the injuries he suffered.
