Thanks so much!! I started a career with the Ginetta LMP3 after having a blast driving it in testing on the Red Bull Ring. First track was SUGO and I was having a hell of a time trying to keep the back end where it belongs due to the tight corners. It seemed like I just couldn't get enough heat into the tires, even after several laps. I made some small adjustments, but I had to be so light on the throttle that my lap times were way off the pace. I was so happy to see your video this morning! I can't wait to get home and try your setup!
Also, one car I do find hard to drive is the R35 GT3 car, under braking it feels like the back end lifts and spins, and under power around a corner it feels like it wants to kill me. On top of that I go to steer around a sharp bend and I see in the rear view mirror that the tyres are squealing and smoking and my turning is very poor/ limited. Ideas or things I could be doing wrong? One more question, are you disappointed about the fact there is no 787B or other modern/ classic sport cars? Such as the RX-7, MKIV Supra, Challengers/ Chargers etc?
Mmh, I'll try it. Maybe it will appear in the next setup video :-) Yeah I'm a bit disappointed (and I'm even more disappointed because I'm scared that some of these cars will be included in a paid DLC).
I hope so mate! :D Yeah that's my biggest concern too, especially with how Toyota is going.. but even if it is paid DLC, I do hope that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get.

I found the ginetta lmp3 just loved sticking to the road in the default setup with assists set to "real" (if the real car has them, then the game car does). I have speedo in the HUD minimal so I don't see whether they are turned on or not, but it feels like something is holding it to the road. It's fast, corners fantastic, and pretty much refuses to spin out when tyres are fresh and warm.
I would like to some setup and tips for this Ginetta G40 Junior (100HP one). When I can easily drive faster cars with some nice results, this Ginetta is killing me. Yes I know some can say that this is a very technical car and needs more experience and skill. But.. any setu I get I still end last (with AI) :/ Can you help? I see that when I follow an AI car when I take a corner the I'm out of track while computer player no.. (I try to maintain its speed and drive line).
Yeah, I confirm: the G40 is a "special" case. With the A.I. at 80% is very very hard to win. Maybe I'll add it in the list of the next setup video. :-)
Tomasz Staśko the AI has some different driving physics system，so they can push very hard in an unreasonable way and no mistakes. I test it and race with 120 difficulty AI. When I check the monitor and I see AI just not need to brake at some corners which we have to brake and they go through that corner in an unrealistic speed which is much faster than that corner speed in player side
I personally have had issues with the Nsx Street. It locks under brakes, but that also could be down to being Stuck on a pad... Also, got a Road ABC championship coming, and I'm using said NSX.
Hi there! I've seen alot of your setup videos here on the channel, but I always forget, or don't seem to get it right, on how to setup the suspension for it to give more under steer or over steer. For instance: hard front susp. + soft rear suspension = fast front turning and slow rear turning, and vice versa?

In pCARS 2 I seem to be way off the pace with the default setups in GT3 compared to pCARS 1, like 2-3 seconds off the pace. I've been driving the Ferrari 488 GT3 and the Audi R8 LMS. Thanks
Ginetta G40 Junior. I've driven 2 races with it, lots of qualification and practice laps. And yet I still dont understand why the AI is so much better at going through fast corners and braking in fast corners. I really like the car, pretty easy to drive, but not forgiving when going over the limits IMO. I lowered the rear suspension, lowered the rear tires pressure, set a more negative rear camber and set the brake bias more to 55(60)-45(40). and yet the AI is better at braking in fast corners/more stable. Even if i follow the same racing line as the AI and when my tires are fully warmed up. Hope you understand my English. It may also be my driving though, although im far from the worst, im not the best driver either

I have another question if i may ask; Is Project Cars 2 worth a buy? I have downloaded it (illegally) just to find out if the game would suit me, same for asseto corsa. I really like the UI of project cars over assetto corsa + i liked both their driving physics. So i uninstalled assetto corsa and proceeded with project cars 2. I'd like to know if the online multiplayer on PC2 is any good. If so, then I'm for sure going to buy PC2 :)
Like all online racing games, you'll met fair drivers and dirty drivers. In Project CARS 2 penalizes the dirty drivers but the system isn't perfect yet.
Any tips for steering wheel settings (Not the ffb settings) as my cars don’t stay on the road and are too twitchy when I finally do get round a corner? It’s making my experience unplayable. I’m using g29 on PS4.
Why no damper settings? Also why is the coast geared LSD higher than power? Should it not be the other way around? Unless severe oversteer whilst coasting?
No needed to change the damper settings. If the coast LSD is high, it increases the understeer while coasting, not the oversteer. Generally Project Cars 2 cars oversteer too much, so I increase the understeer. :-)

First of all - great video! BUT!! setting the tyres to SOFT slick instead of "auto by weather", is the most useful thing you can do make the cars more controllable. Cannot stress that enough!
Hey Viper, thanks for posting the settings for the audi r8, it's my favorite car and i have trouble with it... i just push it too hard into corners and my back slips out. anyways your setups is nice and the car is easier to drive now, but i have problems blowing the engine up after 3 laps on spa in sunny weather. am i doing something wrong?
yes opening the radiator to 100% helped, i will gradually lower it to see where it is at optimum. also i do not hit the rev limiter since i am still driving automatic, its a pain in the ass to drive manual on controller (i am still saving up for the thrustmaster t300). What do you think about soft slick tyres?
Soft slick tyres = more grip but wear faster. Just remember to increase a bit the tyres pressure when you put soft tyres because generally they tend to overheat.
Great video! I got my "wheel & pedals-cherry" popped 2 days ago in preparation of GT Sport and I'm practicing on PC2 now. Used your setup for the Audi R8 LMS, took it to the Nordschleiffe & had hours of fun, being able to confidently drive a car such as this one in my favourite Green Hell (7.27.7 as best lap in that session). Would love a setup for the Aston Martin Vantage GT4 or Ferrari F50 GT (preferably Nordschleiffe-ready ;-) ). Thank you for your videos, teaching me how to become a better sim racer. Keep up the awesome work!
Maybe a setup for Renault Megane TC...I’ve done a 26 lap race and I had to struggle to maintain the car in every corner due to oversteer. Also it’s engine temperature raised to about 200F in less than 10 laps
Nice video and good to have someone who actually can make decent setups. Could you do more of these videos? For example with the old Group 5 Porsche or other older racing cars. That would be really nice.

So i am so free to take the chance to wish a few set ups. I would aprreciate the GT4Porsche and the GT4 KTM. Next i would prefer a Ligier LMP2 and the Ople Astra Touring Car. At last i would be grateful for the 488GTE and an old DTM/Group A car maybe the 190e or the Sierra. But no matter what you will do i will use them because you are doing a great job, and your set ups are a real good basics and i am very much obliged for your videos and all the things you share. I have a question viper. I saw that you have not changed brake preassure in any of them. I always thought that increasing that value the car will stop early when breaking. Is that true or is better to not touch the brake preassure? keep`those videos ;D
On the contrary, the brake pressure is lowered on cars which don't have ABS. If you put a higher brake pressure on cars without ABS, you have more chances to lock the tyres while braking. On the cars with ABS the situation is different: tyres don't lock when you full push the brake pedal. That's why the brake pressure is higher. ;-)

Mmh... la temperature depend de plusieurs facteurs: -La voiture -Le circuit -La temperature de l'aire/sol -La pression des pneus -Camber -Style de conduite En plus il faut voir quels pneus chauffent le plus: arrière, avant, droite, gauche?

Anyone have problems with the Formula C's? Bloody thing is crazy oversteery when you lift off the throttle but on the gas it wont turn properly. Im not that good with setups to fix that.
I took a look and there is actually a "share" option for the setups, but it looks greyed out and I don't know if it is useable. I did not know you could share setups in PCars1, I did it all manually!

Thanks! Great video again! Will try these setups! Tip from my side... the FoV (Field of View) you are using in most cars is quite wide. I have learned that setting FoV to the correct level will contribute to your precision, and since I applied that I, really improved. (Although the sense of speed suffers a bit). Corners look much more accurate with the correct FoV. E.g. Take a look at the transition at 4:55 in your video. The bus stop chicane looks totaly different in the Porsche 936, which is much more realistic, and helps to judge the corner correctly... maybe it helps...
Mark1607 FOV depends on the monitor size, how many monitors and how far he is from them. If you don't know what his setup is you can't just say that his FOV is wrong.

Luke C if you're talking console then yeah. I went into the game from primarily driving in GTA V and noticed how hard driving is. You should either buy project cars or assetto Corsa. Or wait until gran Turismo comes out
It’s a challenge, the game is quite unforgiving so be prepared for that. I would recommend having a Wheel and pedals as opposed to a controller... unless you enjoy failing miserably and having to drive much harder than you would than you would with a wheel
I would say it is. It has some things that could be better but it is a deep game with a lot of content. I also love Assetto Corsa, I love the physics of that game. But you can’t go wrong with PC2 as a start to sim racing in my opinion.
Easier to get directly off the leaderboards if you dont tune yourself. At least then you know its fast.. just upload the ghost and the setup will be yours to keep in the share screen. Your welcome.
In the absence of individual vids per car, since you have included multiple cars setups in the one vid it may not be a bad idea to include the names of the cars in the written info. That would make it easier for searchers to better know which cars setups are included.
You are not alone buddy. It's ass getting heat into those tyres, no matter what you do with the springs or tyre pressures. Once it's raining the tyres heat just fine. But the main thing about setting up that car is the lsd. Getting it to understeer just a tad on lift off (decreasing the coast ramp, increase the preload if you need to go beyond 20 deg) is the best approach to getting the car to a controllable state on those perpetually cold tyres in my experience.

The G40 is killing me. I restarted my career mode due to this car... Impossible to push and stay on track. If you don't push you're too slow

Mmh maybe the radiator opening is too low.
Increase the radiator opening at 100% and avoid reaching the rev limiter.

So i am so free to take the chance to wish a few set ups. I would aprreciate the GT4Porsche and the GT4 KTM. Next i would prefer a Ligier LMP2 and the Ople Astra Touring Car. At last i would be grateful for the 488GTE and an old DTM/Group A car maybe the 190e or the Sierra. But no matter what you will do i will use them because you are doing a great job, and your set ups are a real good basics and i am very much obliged for your videos and all the things you share. SO once again Thanks and have a good time

Les setups que tu vois ici son't compatibles pour tous les circuits sauf ceux qui ont des trés longues lignes droites comme Le Mans 24h ou Monza.
Très bien. Je vais pouvoir m'améliorer grandement grâce à ton expertise. Mais que faut-il modifier pour adapter ces setups aux circuits de Monza ou du Mans par exemple?
Il faut Simplement allonger les rapports de la transmission qui sont trops courts dans certaines voitures et diminuer un peu la charge aérodynamique.

I have a question viper. I saw that you have not changed brake preassure in any of them. I always thought that increasing that value the car will stop early when breaking. Is that true or is better to not touch the brake preassure? keep`those videos ;D
On the contrary, the brake pressure is lowered on cars which don't have ABS.
If you put a higher brake pressure on cars without ABS, you have more chances to lock the tyres while braking.
On the cars with ABS the situation is different: tyres don't lock when you full push the brake pedal. That's why the brake pressure is higher. ;-)

Mmh... la temperature depend de plusieurs facteurs:
-La voiture
-Le circuit
-La temperature de l'aire/sol
-La pression des pneus
-Camber
-Style de conduite
En plus il faut voir quels pneus chauffent le plus: arrière, avant, droite, gauche?

Bloody thing is crazy oversteery when you lift off the throttle but on the gas it wont turn properly. Im not that good with setups to fix that.

In the 1st project CARS yes. On this 2nd one I don't think so.
However consider that share/load the setups would be useless for console players...
I took a look and there is actually a "share" option for the setups, but it looks greyed out and I don't know if it is useable. I did not know you could share setups in PCars1, I did it all manually!

Thanks! Great video again! Will try these setups! Tip from my side... the FoV (Field of View) you are using in most cars is quite wide. I have learned that setting FoV to the correct level will contribute to your precision, and since I applied that I, really improved. (Although the sense of speed suffers a bit). Corners look much more accurate with the correct FoV. E.g. Take a look at the transition at 4:55 in your video. The bus stop chicane looks totaly different in the Porsche 936, which is much more realistic, and helps to judge the corner correctly... maybe it helps...
Mark1607 FOV depends on the monitor size, how many monitors and how far he is from them. If you don't know what his setup is you can't just say that his FOV is wrong.

Luke C if you're talking console then yeah. I went into the game from primarily driving in GTA V and noticed how hard driving is. You should either buy project cars or assetto Corsa. Or wait until gran Turismo comes out
It’s a challenge, the game is quite unforgiving so be prepared for that. I would recommend having a Wheel and pedals as opposed to a controller... unless you enjoy failing miserably and having to drive much harder than you would than you would with a wheel
I would say it is. It has some things that could be better but it is a deep game with a lot of content. I also love Assetto Corsa, I love the physics of that game. But you can’t go wrong with PC2 as a start to sim racing in my opinion.

Easier to get directly off the leaderboards if you dont tune yourself. At least then you know its fast.. just upload the ghost and the setup will be yours to keep in the share screen. Your welcome.
In the absence of individual vids per car, since you have included multiple cars setups in the one vid it may not be a bad idea to include the names of the cars in the written info. That would make it easier for searchers to better know which cars setups are included.

You are not alone buddy. It's ass getting heat into those tyres, no matter what you do with the springs or tyre pressures. Once it's raining the tyres heat just fine. But the main thing about setting up that car is the lsd. Getting it to understeer just a tad on lift off (decreasing the coast ramp, increase the preload if you need to go beyond 20 deg) is the best approach to getting the car to a controllable state on those perpetually cold tyres in my experience.
