Idea: Wives Who Wine. You and Kathleen drink wine in any setting that feels comfortable that day. Maybe it’s the jacuzzi one day, maybe it’s the living room on the couch the next, and you guys just talk. You can rant about things (RUclips related or otherwise) you can talk about RUclips, or you can just talk about life. And it could be like a video podcast. It’s just an idea. I really like seeing you guys together, you’re great friends and you both seem to bring out a lot of fun and happiness in each other.

Omg hearing that brands PAY PEOPLE TO SEND THEM PR kills me!! That's just insane! It totally is so overwhelming watching and seeing all the new releases because exactly, most people don't go out and buy every single new palette or foundation. It is so hard to keep up with. I do a series where I highlight 1 palette I already own and create 10 looks using it. I love utilizing the stuff I already own. I love buying new goodies but just like you said, who honestly needs that much makeup??

Idk why I have fallen back down the rabbit hole of Kathleen and Jessi videos, but I have made it here and I couldn’t be happier on memory lane.
Thanks for this, Jessi. Even though I'm an avid KathleenLights follower this helped me see a day in the life of Kathleen (which she never dives very deep into). I found the conversation about PR very enlightening. Even though it seems normal enough to consider people like Kathleen to get PR every day, there was something about seeing you fawn over it and have a pile of your own against Kathleen saying things like "they've sent me this twice; I've already bought this on my own" that really humbled Kathleen for me. Not saying I thought badly of Kathleen one bit. Because if I trust anyone's opinion it's Kathleen's. So seeing her acknowledge her privilege was humbling. I know this was your video and you've said you were nervous about posting it, but what you said in the beginning about it being very "Shane-like" was true. You brought a little bit of light to a subject that has become very taboo over the last few months. And despite Kathleen being a close friend of yours, and despite me being an avid follower of Kathleen's for years, it still felt very genuine and very real. I don't know, I completely got the feeling you're doing something really good for the beauty community, which has been getting a lot of shit lately. It's reminding the viewers that there are some creators out there who are doing this for the love of the sport. Once again, thanks Jessi!
God I love Kathleen and her insight about people getting paid to receive PR. Ya girl has been over here making beauty videos since 2015 and I'm still not on any PR list... LMAO I couldn't imagine charging a brand to send me free products without HAVING to talk about it in a video. That's insane to me!!!

Have you tried reaching out to them? Most PR only recognize and send the really big influencers products, but it doesn't mean they won't send stuff to smaller channels. You have to be the one to contact them because they likely have no idea who you are.

That unexpected part about ye guys talking about the beauty community and I completely agree I think it’s nothing like we have ever seen before and it’s kind of scary how much consumerism is taking over.
I found Kathleen around 4/5 yrs ago. She was one of the first beauty gurus I started watching for makeup tutorials. This video brought me so much happiness!! ❤️ Look at how far she’s come and her success; she deserves every bit of it!! She’s still my most favorite beauty guru, she’s so humble and genuine I love watching her and supporting her 💖💖💖
