- This month Lucy has a chat with Ian Mosley about the 2023 Marillion Weekends so far, performing with another percussionist and what it's been like to witness H's on (and off!) stage exploits over the years. We also have a chat with James Greenwood from the Front Row Club, famed for queueing outside venues from ridiculously early hours and with Tony Furminger, the instigator of the Surprise the Band crowd participation movement. (Timestamps below)
The winner of last month's competition (tickets for every show on the November tour) is revealed and this month's prize is unveiled.

Good to see Tony's time in. the spotlight. The lights in Go at the Albert Hall is still one of my favourite moments at a Marillion concert, (and so any concert), never to be forgotten.

One of my favourite Marillion memories was from the 1st time I saw them..at Leeds Uni...outside in the car-park was a car painted with the MARBLES livery. That was a VERY MEMORABLE gig !

First time I’ve had time to watch these and I binged all six! Really excellent and enjoyable!
Just wanted to say "you made me cry again" at Leicester. Last year I was honoured the band dedicated angel's on earth to Apple a wonderful nurse who looked after me after heart surgery at Broadgreen hospital and I cried well you did it again (in front of my wife) this year. Thanks are not enough for the band and the amazing Apple. Thank you with all my heart

Been a fan of Mr. Mosleys drumming ever since he joined Marillion. His drumming just fits every track and sounds so smooth and easy. 🥁

I started to listen to Marillion in 2019, I wish it had been much earlier though. I saw the Clutching at Straws box set in HMV and thought I’ll give them a go. Loved it from the opening few bars of music. Since then I’ve seen them twice a got almost every album. Brilliant band.
Band should release these episodes as a podcast.

Really amazing. When I watched this edition of Marillion Monthly, I felt like it was a rather short episode, 25 minutes or so. It was so packed with interesting information, fun facts and giggle material. Now I find it was almost an hour long.

I remember Seeing Script for a Jesters Tear. I read the Silmarillion and I saw Marillion. The art was beautiful. I loved the album and all these years later I still love Marillion ❤️

Ian is a very nice chap. A mate and I were at the very first H band gig in Islington. We spotted Ian and decided we wouldn't hassle him but walk by just get close to a hero. As we got within about two metres, Ian turned around and said "Hello chaps," and had a little chat with us for a minute or two. I've no doubt my mate and I were gormless idiots throughout but it made our night.
16th June a very important date, for two very important matters. Start of the coarse fishing season 🐟 and the best drummer in the world in the best band in the world, birthday, happy birthday sir Ian🥳 . Thank you for 40 years of marvelous marillion music..

The nearly 2 year wait for the next PZ Marillion Weekend is made much easier by this excellent monthly segment (which I am embarrassingly far behind on watching!) but thanks to all involved for giving us insatiable fans all the rich content and treats this one-of-a-kind band has to share. To reference an old MTV era adage: "Too much is never enough!"

ha. professionals. i may be biased, but marillion are, in my opinion, the most consistently, sonically pleasing band that has ever been. they may not be proper or overly professional (aka stuffy), but that just adds to their charm. just a few regular blokes making some astounding music.
love this band and sad that i live in the states and only get to see them now and then.

Steve H was climbing the PA system in Besançon too (France) in 1990 or 89, I was there and I remember Steve R was very surprised (I think it was one of the first gigs with Steve Hogarth)
