Petition for BSJ to make a vid explaining which carries play what part of the map and why
BSJ PLS DO A VID FOR THIS. Which hero pressure vs relieve pressure. which carry plays where. like ive playes LS like this cause i like to play pressure heroes like TB and PL and sven. ive kinda played them the same. my ancients and enemey safe lane. pressure...i learned a lot this vid
You guys should watch his video called when to stay in your lane on which characters. Not called that exactly but it discusses it
@@archerss can't seem to find it, can you comment an exact title?
"Not your job. Not your job. Not your job. Not your job. Not your job. Not your job. Not your job." -BSJ 2021
Wonder if LS beats Jugg late game.. Anyone got a comparison vid? 🤔
Lol dude...
Jugg shits on ls min 0 to end
Hahahahaha
he beats every core late game
This people had no idea what he's really talking about 🤣🤣🤣
-59 seconds into the game and the amount of game knowledge BSJ already has just based on the match-up....
meanwhile I’m still figuring out which heroes are on my team and the enemy team.
same, lmao
Hahahahahahahahahaha same
Played Lifestealer today, did my best to follow what you advised. That was one of the easiest games I've ever played, my offlane and mid got super farmed and the enemy cores all had to share one jungle + lane.
Still need to work on my lane equilibrium but wow. That was incredible.
BSJ I've learned a lot because of your content. I followed your Naix build in one of the videos that you posted. I'm 70% winrate with that hero and 55% winrate overall. Good stuff!
Bsj: Every move you make
My mind: ... I'll be waching you..
I’m glad that messing up lane equilibrium annoys you as much as it does me as a support I put myself in sometimes dangerous positions to pull just to try and reset it just for the core (when I don’t core) to stuff it up (dragging under tower) killing creeps that could pull the wave back etc
21:16 "Day after day seems like I push against the clouds"
you've heard of Baldur's Gate, now it's time for... GALDUR'S BAIT
Awesome video man! Super funny and educational at the same time. Thanks! 😄
Good shit here my man as always. I smell more MMR coming my way.
Would love to see a what part of the map you should play for other hero’s as some are not so black and white as naix
5:04 this aggro explanation finally made everything click
21:42 bsj " YOU'RE NOT THAT GUY BRO , TRUST ME YOU'RE NOT THAT GUY "
Thank you for the great content
BSJ's okay when the guy says he doesn't play much and wants to master lifestealer. 0:32
Thx BSJ!!Keep it up.
very love the part that you talk about general concept of each hero. Like in this video you talked about how to against Necro and so. I'm curious that how to apply to drow or any range hero in these situations
Drow is extremely fragile hero, if you can stay in your lane great otherwise go triangle. Luna farms neutrals extremely fast so she leaves lane pretty early that's why heroes like winter wyvern who can defend your safe lane are great. I can't remember range hero who stays as long as lifestealer so I would say play triangle when you are range hero. (obviously there are exceptions)
Edit: weaver stays in lane as long as humanly possible just like lifestealer
21:17 should be a meme lol bsj face
I learning so much, BIG THANKS TO BSJ. Imagine last 4months i'm just only legend and now Im already divine 5 (carry) ty ty ty Love your vid bro ♥♥♥
Bsj finally a great creator of dota content
i couldnt stop fucking laughing at 21:15 BSJ
Would this also apply on MK? Aside from W you dont farm fast. I feel like if you cant flashfarm jungle you wanna make it such that you leave the lane if forced by the enemy, hopefully without dying. 'Make me leave' as sentiment
dude i know you are portrait has a meme, but omfg this is fk hilarious, i love it when you OWN IT.
Going along with this video BSJ you should make a video about the “right to fight”. For example in lower level games I will see situations where you have only 1 ranged creep and an entire enemy wave is hitting that creep but people go up and try to deny that creep causing them to get gone on by the enemies.
He has already made that video. He has mentioned in many videos that you cant go to the creepwave when its pushing heavily into you
@@flashnimi if I'm not mistaken it's in the fundamental vids
@@TheBakmoi oh sick! I’ll check that out
How do you safely secure the range creep if your support cannot do it?
Or do you just sack the ranged creep as long as you can deny yours and trade?
Defensive aggro. Right click any enemy hero on the map, drag enemy melee creeps to your ranged, then drop aggro by attack commanding your own creep. This way you can usually walk up and finish their ranged creep because your melee creeps will smack them if they hit you. If its too dangerous, you are right to just deny yours.
Melee hero: def aggro, cut trees near ur jungle to fog after secure ranged, def aggro again to drag remaining creeps close to your tower
Ranged hero: bully them mf then hit/use skill to ranged
if you're defensively aggro the creeps and still find securing the range too dangerous, ex heroes that can nuke 70% of your hp if you try, then the support should last hit it, but if they can't then you sometimes have to give that creep up and focus on denying yours yes. it all depends on how safe you feel and what the heroes can do to you if you go for the last hit, also if you're ex playing sven or pl then using your Q to secure ranged creeps are TOTALLY OKAY
weaver shard explodes creapwaves
and teamfights, for that matter
So I actually do LS pos 3 n just make shit ton of space for my post 1 cos u can effectively evade gank w ur rage and ult. Infest enemies catapult at 5 or 10 mins to speed up the push
-
Question BSJ: Doesn't Power Treads add little stats for sustainability. Toggle it to Int to activate rage. Or when it is on cooldown, Toggle Str when Death Pulse is undodgeable? And the IAS would be valuable when jungling the small triangle camps or if Naix's mid-lane would be ganking?
Keen to hear BSJ's take on this but I reckon because Naix is a melee "chase" hero the phasing and, to a lesser extent, the armour of PBs outweighs PTs.
@@Sawubona2007 -
That is a good point, too! In most of his guides, he visualizes the outcome of the game middle and end. Prolly, one Bracer and one Drop are enough to make Naix survive the lane. I assume that the equilibrium takes the bigger part to make him more survivable. And we have to take note that the first-tier tower has additional armor and +1 heal.
@@Cain_69 LS have high attack speed. his passive + lvl10 talent while he dealt little damage due to the base dmg nerf.
So personally i think its really good for ls to me.
Other carry lack attack speed so i usually bought thread
@@SilverHand-fu1jn -
You are right. So to sum it up, , . Wand, 1 Bracer, 1 Teardrop, Equilibrium, and Tower Armor/Regen, are more than enough for LS in the early game. And it should also be applicable for WK vs heroes such as Necrophos.
@@dadangbeceng887 -
So when you mentioned, "a very safe farming game", and considering the kind of player who played Lifestealer in the game, it seems logical that PT could have been a better choice. But regarding the movement speed, getting boots alone is a far better option in the high tier. It gives LS the chance to last hit and avoid quickly the Death Pulse.
Can you also make a video like this one for PL? Thx
Damn I learned alot there. How does one get coaching from BSJ?
go to his twitch and if u donet him he ll coaching u jst read what he write in his twitch
how to be agressive 0 1 1 in 19 minutes thanks bro
You mention that certain heroes are better at pressuring vs relieving pressure. Could you do a video about what characteristics determine what a heroes job should be in the mid to late game
He kinda said it, depends on your survivability and your ability to farm. Mobility & damage vs the camps accounting for. and those numbers change throughout the game
21:16 LOL
I need more of these vids
I agree with BSJ here. LS is probably the easiest carry to play who doesnt get kicked out of his lane. I rarely die in the first 20-25 minutes if I pick LS carry. I just shove my lane and farm around the tower camps and get my items before participating in any fights.
I struggle a bit to understand what kind of hero plays (for dire) bottom and top. Is it "I can't really fight but I can clear waves" bottom and "I'm slow farmer but I can fight" top?
Fast farmers play bottom. Luna, Sven, Clinkz that type of heroes leave their lane when they want a.k.a clearing ancients efficiently or they are weak like Clinkz. Heroes that farm slowly have 1 more ability to fight or sustain (jug spin, LS frenzy, weaver shikuchi etc.). They don't farm neutrals fast enough to leave their lane so they defend their tower and yoink enemy's ancients given a chance.
For dire, heroes that hard to be caught like LS, slark, weaver tries to stay on top where it's the most dangerous to farm
BSJ always saying something like "Safelane isnt actually safe" Triangle is safer than safelane. This isn't looking at usual creep. its considering the ancient camps.
With that in mind, only several hero that can survive in dangerous lane that optimally farm it. Heroes that hard to catch. Such as Naix, Slark, Morph, Weaver.
Why? Not because the lane itself, but because these heroes steal opponent ancient. Thats the real threat of these heroes. The triangle invaders.
These heroes can dive so deep to enemy ancient and retreat even when they chased by three ambushers. How often we alone can catch these hero early game? like never. Its dangerous to face one of these heroes alone, and they simply retreat when ambushed. we need all 5 to be able to catch these heroes.
So yeah, fast farming usually talk about farm as much ancient as you can. When your ancient gone to the enemy, your carry usually will have slower farm. Ultimately, under-farmed and gets rolled.
This video ruclips.net/video/I6eQddZTnIc/видео.html. Heroes that are hard to kill deny enemy objectives by staying in the deadlane as long as possible.
Does bsj do replay reviews tooo
Holy shit this is literally a question I've been thinking of. I like playing monkey king and he seems bad at farming.
21:16 bro i laughed so hard :D :D :D
Not your job, bro...Not your job...NOT YOUR JOB!hahaha But hey! this is an informative video after all...I am learning so many things from watching your videos, BSJ! please keep doing what you do, man!
You highly overestimate master tier hero players Brian
most people do including me
i see a lv 25 SF and im scared asf before game starts, after laning phase im confused why the enemy midlaner is so bad...{
i guess they farm their mastery in turbo games and not in ranked i supose (unless that doesnt work, i dont touch unranked/turbo since 4-5 years ago)
Thanks bsj!

been waiting for this forever, LS is my main and i’ve been having so much success with him lately, but i want to take it to the next level
Is Armlet still good in LS? When do you go Armlet and when do you go Mael?
Trying to improve my LS game and still have a problem to which to build..
@@adlaonrobb armlet means u r smacking people in face and mael means u r smacking creeps in face. So go for armlet if u think you can't stay in lane with mael coz they can trade better with you and the stats from armlet will let you stay in lane. Go for mael first if u think u can survive the lane with just rage and can sit there clearing wave then camps fast.
@@white_wolf9413 So I guess to add on this is that you go armlet if you're planning to go finish the game early and be involved with fights more while mael is when you try to focus on farm in order to win mid to late game right?
@@adlaonrobb actually no its not about finishing game early but more about making sure you can survive the early game fights if you finish game early that's a side product. Mael straight is when u don't need that early survivability. You'll still be going for maelstorm after armlet so its more about do you actually need the armlet to survive or not .
@@white_wolf9413 Thank you! I'll try to apply it to my games
I try to think about where my carry hero goes, but feel like I often get it wrong. How do I determine if I'm an "efficient pressure" hero like pl, Medusa, Luna vs an "aggressive deny ancients" hero like lifestealer?
I'm only 2.8k mmr but what I gathered from this video is that it depends on how fast your hero farms and how hard it is to kill you.. if you farm slow you want to slow them down so you farm top because you're hard to kill.. if you're weak like Luna early, you farm bot but you do it very efficiently.. try and apply that to other heroes..
The only other hero I can think of is wk with his ult and skellies. Other than those two I think you just play bottom
So other heroes that can sit in their lane are jugg, slark, naga, riki and wk. These guys dont yoink the enemy ancient but u can still sit in the lane and just play that part of map. All of these heroes are either too survivable like jugg, slark, riki or they can clear wave fast or safely like naga, wk. But it can change depending on enemy heroes. Just stay in lane if u can with any hero except the ones that can clear whole jungle in mins like sven, luna coz they can get more farm from going to jungle.
@bsj which other carries will play in similar manner to life stealer, in terms of the areas of map they're playing? Is it Jugg who also has a built in bkb? But jugg seems swuishier coming out of laning phase.
So jugg specifically will stay in his safelane in a game where he is essentially unkillable (no bkb piercing stuns/ only reactable stuns) AND there are heroes on his team that can create pressure in the offlane. If these two conditions are met jugg is happy to stay in his safelane for an extended period of time similar to how bsj talks about this lifestealer.
I actually remember a video bsj did years ago where he did exactly that as jugg. I also recommend you check out the recent video bsj put out about the types of heroes that stay in the safelane (survivable slow farming carries).
@@nathanaels9605 When to pick lifestealer or jugg ? I mean how their gameplay differ in your opinion?
@@shiteshchourasia jugg is good at pressuring towers ig
@@orlandomolina6394 Got it thanks. Are there any more difference in their playstyle?
As a Naix player, I actually build and play him for his ult (with or without aghs) with a side of dominator (especially now, what with the overlord and all). Microing 2 neuts (or even ancients) with LS is fun! Imagine that.
Fun.
In dota :(
19:50 Hi. why he should not farm the Ancient creeps
He needs to leave them to huskar or tide I think. LS needs to be on the top half of the map switching to mid at intervals.
Thank you the rest are clear now
What i took from that is that Lifestealer is top, not bottom.
'Not your job' hahahahaha
how can I send areplay for analysis like this?

i am always in 2900 to 3100.i cant climb more than that because in every last game there is a feeder or thrower. like every last game . ie when my mmr is 3090 and lose. been almost 1 year
Tbh you can. If I’m able to smurf easily in 3000 and 1v9 them it means you can.
Can you tell us how many games do you have as LS?

My 1426 th lifestealer game !
as a lifestealer on dire, TOP MID TOP MID TOP MID TOP MID TOP MID TOP MID
In SEA 3k, when u try to balance the waves, your support will try all sort of pulling and pushing to ruin ur lane and when u tell them dont do that they will tell u to stfu and play noob. And rest of ur laning phase u would have ur creep wave sitting right outside ur enemy t1. And when u go to jungle because the lane is not playable, your mid and offlane will flame u for leaving the lane together with ur support adding in the salt 'ignore him he is stupid'. Your roamer/offlane support would also flame u for leaving lane when he didnt even tp to top to help even once.
Did team liquid book their ticket to ti sir?

LIFESTEALER TUK OUR JERRRBBBS
and here i thought jugg and ls are the same
Bsj just brings so much lane knowledge and inconsistencies that people don’t notice , tips notice hopefully I can successfully imply
hey someone tell me what morphling supposed to do, besides throwing me in low priority all the time
Go mid, max shift, buy 2 wraith bands, lifesteal, treads. Buy eblade if there aren't many kill threats on u or if u think u can get a lot of kills if u get it in a timely manner. Don't buy eblade if you need survival. Make sure u feel u can survive, then u can buy eblade after the manta/bkb/linkens or in some cases don't buy it at all.
If enemy mid leaves lane, kill their tower.
Beware of heroes that can disable u instantly (before u can react with shift), think lion, skywrath, ss, rubick.
Once u get eblade, look for opportunities to kill, but try not to join teamfights first. With eblade, morph is kind of an assassin. In many cases u can try to solokill the enemy carry while they still weak.
I could probably say more, but I just got bored. I'm no BSJ, but I am 4k

LOL - BSJ has SAP ads now? Maybe BSJ is an ABAPer... and works for them.. :3
Feel like this is a misleading title, the video mainly focuses on lifestealer being a hero survivable enough to warrant playing the dead lane, rather than about his agression because of low farming speed
wait, but isnt top the "dead lane"?
For ls defense is offense and if they cant wrap you around then they are making trouble if you occupy that big space in safe lane except for bad start
Which lane is called the dead lane is different for each game. The concept of a dead lane just means that if your team is trying to farm all 3 lanes, someone will die somewhere because you're too spread out. Instead, you choose 2 lanes to farm, and the third is called the dead lane because nobody is allowed to show there. When someone does show there the rest of the team needs to be more careful. Most often (probably), top is the dead lane for Dire because the carry usually plays bottom to farm efficiently.
Yes. MOST of the time you want to avoid the deadlane. The enemy team should prioritise going to your deadlane because its the easiest objective for them. Your team should stay away from it because its the hardest objective for you, based on where the creeps meets. But on specific heroes like lifestealer, weaver, slark etc... who farm slower than other safelaners but are super survivable, their job is to stay in the deadlane as long as possible to prevent the enemy from taking objectives. This is explained in a recent video ruclips.net/video/I6eQddZTnIc/видео.html
@@Zukuarinokushi in pretty much every BSJ video he is really clear about the "safelane" becoming the dead lane after the tower goes down. I have seen nothing but him telling to go to the triangle and push out the offlane.. It is why I was surprised when he said few of the things he did here.
@@AntiSociety100 I know, top and mid top and mid... Usually that's the case. I'm just saying the deadlane concept is about one lane being "dead" because if you show on all 3 lanes someone will die. It doesn't have much to do with where a carry hero wants to be.
BSJ - I yoink your fucking ancients, you don’t farm shit bro. I am not farming that much, but you are farming ziltch.

BSJ what can i do as LS in lane against heroes with Insane range like Lina, Skywrath mage and Viper? Because lane equilibrium against these heroes does nothing, they can still harass you out. Normally my answer to these heroes is to push the lane really hard, like If i am jugg i Just spin and Wait for it to shove back. LS can't do that, so what are the options? I feel having to keep hitting creeps to sustain as LS against these heroes and don't know what else to do.
my thought would be to focus more on sustain, maybe your support buys a headdress/buckler to help you out in ignoring the right clicks? im not sure, just my thoughts
@@hoobisha9256 I am asking more about how the lane equilibrium should be managed.
@@Freefrost Ah, I must have misread. In that case I believe it would be best to constantly push the wave into them. I remember BSJ having a video about Outworld devourer/destroyer when he was nuts saying that if you keep the wave pushed, the enemy cant hit you. That might help, not sure.
@@hoobisha9256 I watched the OD video, thanks. It's rough, because these tactics are more appropriate for heroes with wave clear. LS has none, so, yeah, fck. I would stick to jugg vs skywrath then, hehe.
Boots, dps, consumable sustain. Run at them without aggroing creeps, make them run away. Push the lane as fast as possible. If they run away then hit you, they have no lasthits and you will outsustain them. If they run away then lasthit, you are in no danger and are happy. If they dont run you will out trade them.
Viper is a real problem because he will out trade you at least at lvl 1 when you cant have both rage and feast. You can block and defensive aggro to drag enemy creeps under your tower so the wave will push into viper and you can get lvl 2. Really hard if your support doesnt either push, distract or give you solo xp.
When I play last I always go helm of iron will 1st item for sustain
