Ap jitni khubsurat hai, utna hi khubsurat apka sikhane ka tarika hai, or usse kai gunha khubsurat apki voice ❤ thank you so much 🙏🏻amazing and unique style ma'am. ❤❤❤
बहुत खूब! अलग-अलग शैलीओं में आप का गाना कितना सुरीला, वाह! Just something to check: Gregorian chant (rather than Georgian). पोप ग्रेगोरी के नाम से है -- ईसवी ७००-८०० के रोमन चर्च/मध्य योरपी चर्च के "थाट" हैं। उनमें से एक Dorian है। 🙏
Amazing, Anuja. I really like the example of Panchvati from Ramayan Japanese movie for Raga Kaafi. When I first heard, I never realized that. Btw, that Panchvati Song was sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy. Just one correction Dorian is the second mode of major scale, not first mode. The first mode is ionian mode. Keep making such content.
I remember watching that bhimpalasi video back in the day...also a video on a padmavat song that doesnt seem to be there anymore...but I am so glad you are back, I love these videos, helped me learn so much about indian music
I remember ramayan anime. Panchvati was a wonderful song. It was animated by Japanese artists. Also sadly cartoon network closed its site recently.. Our time is over Anuja ji 😅
Raag kafi is my favorite raag and I remembered our previous raag kafi video when listening you sing raag kafi chalan , that video was a true masterpiece where you was showing different expressions / emotions in one raag it just shows your deepness and this video was again very beautiful thankyou for both the videos the previous and this one excited for your new video anuja maam keep growing ❤
Beautiful ❤️ Scarborough is my favourite song. I didn't know the connection with Kaafi. Anuja, I look forward to this channel every Sunday. My best wishes.
Hello love and respect from Pakistan for you. raag bhearvi mostly used in pushto music plese make a video on raag bhearvi like how make alap and please please please thumri notation bajo band khul khul jae
One more great video. Kaafi raag is also present in Carnatic music but there it's called Kapi and its chalan is very different. It employs Teevra Ga and Ni. Or I shud say Shuddh Ga and Ni. Being a south indian we always feel the major 7th as Teevra swar. I absolutely love Dorian mode. But in mainland Europe the Dorian and minor modes are interchanged throughout a song. It's very difficult to see songs that stay in Dorian throughout. Even Scarborough fair jumps into minor. But in Indian classical music we can truly enjoy the Dorian mode in its fullest form. The Janya Ragas or sisters ragas of thaat Kaafi, Abhogi and Bageshri omit Pa swar and brings out a completely different flavour of Dorian mode. While in Europe Dorian is mostly identified with adventure in Indian classical ragas based on Dorian always invoke a sense of pleading to your beloved. Especially the ragas of Kaafi thaat without Pa swar.
Could you share with us the number of esteemed Indian musicians who have acknowledged and appreciated your thorough research and insightful analysis in the realm of music?. All the best for your endeavouring work... 🙏💐
Great demo & explanation, Anuja ji! You have to be finely attuned to all aspects of a Raag - aroh, avron, pakad, chalan, note, frequency, pitch, jati, melody, mood etc. to be able to see the linkages between Indian & Western music.
@@adityamohan1773 No I think if you listen to the entire theme then later .i.e. during that B section of the theme he actually uses the sixth note of the aeolian mode. Also if you see the music both in its harmonic and melodic perspectives then you’ll see that VI chord of the aeolian mode is actually used in the harmonic backing during the A section itself.
Hi, can you please listen to the song"Aaj na jaavi- by Bakshi salamat" and tell it is based on which raaga or type of music.... It's just staying in my head and ringing in a loop ,,, so lovely as you are...❤

Yes, it should be Gregorian nor Georgian.

U r brilliant beti. To say the least. Though being a south Indian, I do not understand all.

Enjoyed video
This punjabi tappa is sung in Bengal in Maharashtra in Karnataka where they don’t have any idea about Punjab or Punjabi language
Excellent explanation as always.

Scarborough fair has a Hindi "inspired" song "Lagta hai kahin dekha hai" sung by Bhupinder.
song : ruclips.net/video/SHG5_XqvrH8/видео.htmlsi=xrshhWvqbU_RgkHz
Your starting phrase was so close to title song of Game of thrones
Whatever you told is too much to understand at once but I must say you sing everything very nicely.🎉🎉🎉
How do you see dha teevra and not shudh, and ma Komal and not shudha etc.
It would be very interesting to hear back from you.
thank you I learned a lot

Ma’am just a little mistake , the Airtel theme that you sang composed by AR Rahman sir is actually in Natural Minor or Aeolian mode and not in Dorian.
Melody-wise it can be in both! 😁
Yes. In places it is both. Or actually it skips the sixth note so much that it isn't concretely in either.

What does Pejkari mean in Hindi, anyone? thanks
I would like to work with you and create music. Disclaimer I am nobody in music but would like to associate and observe you create music
Interestingly portrayed. The actual term is Gregorian chant . Attributed to pope Gregory. Not Georgian
Oh, thank you for mentioning! I will edit that part out accordingly 🌱
