For what Maxon did with zBrush, the gods of 3D should bring an eternal Z-fighting into their programs. Subscription is big no no. For one year subscription price you have, nomad for sculpting , cozy blanket for retopo and uniform 3d for modeling, texturing etc. Forever
The one thing Zbrush has that I wish Nomad had is the dynamics. Everything else Nomad already does better, even the UI. Zbrush has too many menus inside of menus.
I don't mind this subscription. It is very affordable. I hope we'll get the Z modeller in later versions. Wouldn't it be neat if the desktop version would be rewriting to have such a modern UI/UX design?😁
You could have been using Nomad. You could still be using Nomad. It's an extraordinary app with incredible power and a really nice and intuitive interface. If you actually wanted to learn sculpting, what was stopping you?
Honestly I'm surprised that the pricing structure is semi reasonable. Will unlocking the full version transfer files to the last Pixologic version of Zbrush? I'm not planning on upgrading to Maxon one.
I tried it out and it’s the same issue as the desktop version of Zbrush not being backward compatible at all: only the new 2025 Zbrush is compatible with Ipad Zbrush project files.
lol, i've been sculpting in ZBrush for several years now. Even with a PC, a tablet, and sitting in front of a computer for 10 hours a day, it's still not enough. What can this small app do compared to a real program?
I was hype for the free plan but you cannot export what you create. It was too beautiful to be true. Well it's not like Maxon makes a lot of money... wait
People saying nomad is better is hard COPING. I love nomad. I love every one of these 3d and sculpting apps and I can be impartial enough to say that Maxon knocked it out the park on their 1,0 release even the free version allows me to create more quickly and easily that I can with nomad.
I understand that nobody likes subscriptions but the iPad only version breaks down to under 34 cents a day or $2.50 per week. This shouldn’t break the bank for anyone that’s about 3 times less than the cheapest cup of coffee. I’m a Nomad sculpt user and have been since it 1st released. I also have a perpetual license for zbrush on my desktop which I haven’t used in a while but using zbrush for iPad makes me want to start using the desktop version again. I bought the iPad only version and it’s been working flawlessly so far. I’m not paid or sponsored but I am going to give it a fair shot and so far I’m pretty impressed!!
I understand that not all people are comfortable spending $120 per year, but the yearly is only $90 for the year, which makes it around 25 cents per day. I'd rather give up that cup of coffee for the ability to use zbrush on the go. So, for me, that's a big yep!

And it's a subscription plan - screw that. We're being subscriptioned to death nowadays.
Pirate zbrush on windows then use easycanvas to get iPad pencil to work with windows.
well considering there are people working in that company who need money. expecting everything for free is selfish.
10 bucks a month is still way more affordable than their desktop subs. Still not ideal but there are worse bangs for your buck.
Nomad Sculpt for iPad is super amazing.

Zbrush also has fibermesh, I wish nomad had it!
What are the recommended and /or minimum supported ipad models?

Is there a way to import references?
I was thinking the same😊
I'm wondering what iPad features will eventually appear in the desktop version. Need to see ZModeler in the iPad version though....
The price is stupid
Can i use it for XPPen For Artist 16" 2nd Gen ? (so win version ?)
Finally I can learn sculpting!
You could do it already with Nomad for years, and it's better than this Zbrush for iPad.

Dreams come true sometimes.
GoZ transfer only to 2025 zbrush files, it does not seem to be backward compatible with older zbrush 2022.
Export a goz file backwards compatible with 2022
No Uv editor and mesh editor
Another subscription model😢 ohh noo

Zbrush with a reasonable UI? Hell has frozen over.

I gotta say, its a dream of an app... It's insane how good it is... definitely worth a sub.
no
@@miaou5878 zbrush on the ipad! What more do you want?

Coffe you get charged for if you drink it or not. Every day.

It’s not about the price, it’s ransom-ware, if you can’t pay. you can’t open your files, think about it ….
The only issue is that the iPad does not have the storage space to do this. You will have to use a backup drive or cloud for backup.
yep will never ever use this garbage when other programs are capable of doing the same stuff without the subscription bullshit
even if i want to pay for it, my ipad doesnt support it... lol
Apple, lolz
