To clear up some confusion It made 365hp and 372 tq on the e25 blend and 329hp and 355tq on normal Sheetz 93 octane The car is still on stock calibration for these videos
Shell 93 V Power mate . Make another video soon as you can 😅 . If not Shell, maybe Sunoco or Exxon / Mobil 93 . Idk if it’s placebo but Shell 93 feels like it burns faster but I feel faster lol
I agree, if you look at the chart you can see the dip in power in the higher rpm on 93 octane. Once ethanol was added that dip goes away. This just shows you how important good quality fuel is and clearly Sheetz 93 isn’t great quality 93
"Unitronic" - when it's available, I assume. I've got a '24 with a JB4 on map 6 using an E30 mix and the car hauls. I will be doing some dyno runs in October. I guess that dyno reads low. 330whp seems low compared to other types of dynos. I've seen these things dyno near 400whp stock.
Based on how it responded to the ethanol I’d say Sheetz 93 is down on power because the factory ecu is pulling ignition timing to keep everything happy. So unfortunately I’ll have to log some of the local gas stations to see what’s the best quality fuel that doesn’t pull timing
what are your AFR’s and fuel trims ? I’ve tried running e30 mix’s before and i always run too lean. scared to push the car when it’s lean. It definitely goes when the car allows it. I run map 5.
my rs3 (series) has about ~411 hp with shell v power 100 octane (vmax german autobahn ~ 173 mph GPS 😁). yes, well, we pay significantly more for petrol (2 Euro / Litre). fun costs!
Hey man, How are you enjoying the 8Y? Now that you own both (8Y & TTRS), could you see yourself consolidating and enjoying the RS3 solely? I’ve been considering this scenario and getting an 8Y vs having 2 cars.
That’s a great question, my problem is that I usually push a car too far past what is a comfortable daily so having both allows me to do that with one car and I can keep the other car civil.
Great video for the comparison. Ive thrown in about 2 gallons of E to a full tank on my 8Y to see if there was a difference. My butt dyno had said yes and so did my gas mileage. But the shows my thinking was correct. I grabbed E from Sheetz as well. Would be cool to meet up sometime. Im not super far from you.

I'm not surprised. My 8Y RS3 felt like it made about 330-350whp on Vegas 91. On an E30 blend, it felt like 400whp. Idk where people are getting "400whp stock" because this car does not feel like that on normal pump gas.

My 8y has 439 PS and 640 nm torque stock. Brand new car. but to be clear with german gas. We are able to get 102 Octane gas everywhere on aral gas stations. Every stock 8y in germany made 415-440 PS on dyno so far. 🤷🏻♂️

My 8v with no ethanol did 11.7. With e20 it went 11.4. No mods but added Ethanol
keeps the 8y vids coming bro!!!
I read to put 3 gallons E85 and the rest 93

I do plan to test out local fuels once I can get a proper logger for the car
330 whp on 93 is really weak....Mustang dyno? Most 8Ys are closer to 400

@ZombieGunner707 these cars do get a little lean tip in at lower RPM to spool the turbo. This is normal.
What were the mods you’d done to the car prior to putting the e85 in? Did you change spark plugs? Thanks
It’s 100% stock.

How far are we from getting a tune from Unitronic
Very close, it’s worth the wait. Makes the car a riot

What tune are you putting on it?
Unitronic
how full was the tank when you added in the gallon?
Roughly 8 gallons of 93 and 2 gallons of e98
When I had my 2022 with Uni Stg 1+ ECU dyno'd, I put in 2 gals E and rest 93. It did 488 hp and 513 tq....on a Mustang Dyno.
2022 as in 8Y? 👀
There isn't Uni tuning for a '22 yet.

They have about 400 WHP completely stock on 93 shell octane in US!
