Use bigger sections!! And don’t do that wrist twist thing. Just roll straight up. Trust me. They get caught in your hair way easier than you may think.
Ok Viv here is a great suggestion . use mannequin doll head this way when it’s like odd hair hacks you can use that instead .. this way you don’t worry about messing up your hair

It nuh wert it! That twisting upside down thing will destroy your hair! And remember the friction of your hair against the pipe cleaner can create splits leading to breakage... It nuh wert it atall! I still suggest pencil curls using actual pencils. However...(viv voice)....I will be tuning in to see the outcome. Good luck! Lol
Don't do pipe cleaners! Omg and Don't listen to anyone saying to use bigger sections, I tried to use a pipe cleaner to put my full head of hair in a bun and it GOT STUCK! I literally had to rip some hair out, and I was VERY close to cutting it out of my hair, which would have been a lot of hair! This one is too dangerous! Please don't do it!
This is a very old fashioned way of curling your hair my nan and great aunts used to do it You have done it completely wrong lol dont know what video you have watched but i dont recommend doing it that way or you wont have any hair left 😂😂

Pre twist the hair then wrap it around that way your strands are grouped together rather than separate
