Bro you always gotta have full range of motion. Without it you muscle will not get enough stretch. When you did the straight biceps curl you barely went all the way down and there was still tension on your muscles. Keeping tension throughout the excersice will help in increasing strenght whereas a good stretch in each set would give you good volume. Also in your triceps kickbacks, you need to push your arms a little further so you get the full triceps contraction and hold it for a few secpnds

You totally can change your body in 30 days. I'm 6'1 on my low side of weight 168, just bullshitting and drinking alot and fasting alot, not on purpose but I'm doing it.. I can easily go up to 190 in 30 days working out all the time and eating healthy and drinking alot of water. Done it many times.
