Used it on my BMW E39 with watermarks or something that looks like it. Had to apply quite some pressure but the windows look great now!

I've used their ultimate compound before on clear plastic and it worked beautifully, but that's my experience.

rinse off windshield exterior.
Roll a blob of plumber's putty over windshield, up and down, and across, side to side.
Apply micro-abrasive product and rub up and down, and across, side to side.
Rinse windshield.
Wipe off with micro fiber towel -- a clean one.
Apply RainX or Turtle car wax. Let sit a few minutes, then polish windshield.
Take a nap.

I’m adding ceramic coating to my car and I’m not sure if I should use this to polish my glass and use perp spray to remove any oil or wax if it has. Then apply my ceramic coating
Yes you can clean the glass with our compound and then go over it with prep spray. Just check that whatever coating you are going to use is suitable for glass.
What pad is recommended with a DA Buffer when using compound on the windscreen?
I would use the yellow Meguiar's polishing pad for best results.

It is best to go in a horizontal/vertical pattern, a DA polisher may be used as well.

Man... I just called my local car shop and they've told me that polishing a windshield wasn't doable 😂 and even if they did the cost would be higher than replacing it.

Hi, yes this will remove them as long as you cant feel them with your fingernails.

I can't find this polishing compound in any of the major USA stores like Walmart, Target, AutoZone, Advance Autoparts and O'reilly WTF?? is it just for right hand drive cars?? just wasted a lot of expensive gasoline looking for this product!

Unlikely. Glass is very very hard and few abrasives can 'polish' it back. It may fill some small scratches though so no harm trying.
Use cerium oxide powder slurry with hand polisher. Other products would make the scratches worse, learn from my mistake.
Is this window tint safe?

I’m confused though when to use this though ? I honestly wish you guys made a video when to use your products and in what order and what goes with what? Can I use this on my windows or my head lights( all I see is freakin bonnets cleaned )When to use the wheel cleaner before your wash or after clay bar when to use wax, when to polish, when to use detailer wax, or wash and wax or gold class shampoo for the type of water you have or wash and wax with carnauba or your NXT range if your prefer Polymer technology and what it means etc, honestly guys my garage looks a Meguiar’s Display store but yet most of the time I don’t know what to use because I have bought all your products because I am such a of the brand I have anxiety what to use because of the overwhelming information of use it like this or people comparing it to other products BUT JUST WONT SOMEBODY JUST TELL ME WHICH ORDER DO I USE YOUR PRODUCTS?

I’ll try to help you out since I was in the same shoes you were back when I first started detailing. To use this glass polish all you have to do is make sure you clean off the glass and dry it and then use this glass polish which will remove light scratches and watermarks/bug guts.
But for general detailing knowledge, I wash a car by rinsing it off with water first very good. Then I use the meguiars wheel cleaner with a wheel brush to clean the wheels then I rinse the wheel cleaner off. After that I use meguiars gold class shampoo with a microfiber wash mitt. I then rinse the soap off and begin air drying with a leaf blower, after that I use a microfiber drying towel to wipe any remaining water. Now depending on the condition of the paint I’ll either just apply meguiars quick detailer/wax with a microfiber towel to the body and wipe off making sure there’s no smearing, however if the paint is in bad shape this is what I’ll do; After I wash and dry the vehicle I’ll grab my polisher and use a heavy cut polishing pad with meguiars ultimate compound, then I’ll use a soft polishing pad along with meguiars ultimate polish to get that showroom-like shine, then I’ll use either meguiars ultimate paste wax for protection or I’ll apply meguiars hybrid ceramic wax for extra water beading. Then I clean the windows with an aerosol glass cleaner and microfiber cloth and apply me go tire shine to the tires. I hope this all helps
can you use meguires ultimate polish with 4 inch yellow polishing da pad to polish the glass?
Hi, Yes you can but it wont remove as many defects as the glass compound would.
@@MeguiarsAUS- Thnx for confirming. i bought the pads and da 8 years ago maybe more and have used it a hand full of times over the 8 years. Don't want to have to spend more money if the tools i already have can get the job done. Windshield is not in bad condition, am just looking to prep it before coating it and figured why not use the da and pads which i already have to do the job quicker if can be used safely. So thnx again for confirming.
I want to know what benefits this has over paint polish it can do all of this and it's oil resdue comes off very easy on glass so what's the point.
Hello using a paint polish on your glass might give you some of the benefits of a dedicated glass compound but unlikely that it will give you all the benefits or a result that is as good as the glass compound

Many polishes have oils in them so you’d be polishing glass and leaving oils unless you cleaned the glass afterwards with another product
@@ohboy2592 yes I have used polish on glass recently and had little issue getting the oil (haz) off almost like there wasn't any it was mequires ultimate compound.
@@gjkrisa that’s because you used a compound and not a polish. Compounds don’t have oils in them. Ultimate compound does act as both if you work it long enough to a certain degree but it’s still a compound. Ultimate polish is even more refined and leaves a much higher shine when used on paint. The polish will have little to no effect as the glass is too hard.

This will remove most if not all of the scratches depending on how deep they are. If you can catch your nail in them they will be tough to remove.

By the way, what is the composition of the product? Is it a corrosive product that acts chemically or is it a true polish compound with abrasive agents to polish glasses?

If the water sheets it means the glass has no protection. If it beads it has protection.

How does it handle bugs? Can they be immediately wiped off with wiper blades after applying this?
Hi M G, the Glass Polishing Compound will definitely make the bugs easier to remove. The improved surface condition of the glass will make any foreign contamination less likely to stick, and thus easier to remove.

@@MeguiarsAUS Like to know if you have small swirl marks on the windscreen or windshield, after using this product will it remove the swirl marks, or do you have to use a dedicated glass polish, like i have seen which is a sandy grit polishing pad made for glass and then a different resin to get rid of the first haze made by the polishing disc, which made the glass look like it was done by say a 2,000 grit sand paper, looks like it, but its not, so just wondering how deep does the products really go, meaning that if i was to use a microfiber disc and then with all my might and this products will it remove the swirl marks after all if it can remove the scratches from wiper arms which the rubber has come lose, then it might work right?
Please advise, as compound polish is abrasive even more than this stuff right, so tell me or help me with advise if you can ?

@@MeguiarsAUS wow negleted glass are we talking new cars which have not had their windscreen cleaned and has wiper marks from the rubber and the small dust and bugs which tend to go hard in summer and then the wiper blades then move those hard itesm right accross the wiper arm externsion, thus causing minor fine scratches and also say the rubber clip on the wiper arm came lose and thus scratches the glass will it remove them by applying this product and enough elbow grease a few times over the same areas ,will it work?

@@richardlyall1103 nope, I haven't tried Meguair polishing compound yet. what I did tried though was autoglym glass polish cream which was not sucessful. now my wipers are skipping for some reason.

Use glass cleaner water soap and it should remove it

If you have very minor marks in your Glass this will remove those but not too many products can remove actual scratches in glass.
Lol the water was standing on the windshield versus beading up but okay if you wanna say it sheeted off we can go with that too 😂
I tried the expensive Meguiar's window cleaner on my car a few years ago.
It actually did clean the grime off, but replaced it with a layer of oily film that's quite noticable at certain angles in sunlight and fogs up on cold morning.
Result after using Meguiar's...worse than before the window was cleaned.
A cheap bottle of vinegar from my local supermarket does a far better job.
Lesson learnt, I'll never buy another of their products.
Been using their window cleaner for years now and i dont experience anything you mentioned. I dont how you use it but i wipe the cleaner with a fresh micro fiber after application.
@@justanobody4983 I wipe with paper towels, like I've done with many other window cleaners over the years, and never had any residue greasy film remain.
I stand by my decision to never use any of their products.
I now bulk buy isopropyl alcohol for my windows, reading glasses, sunnies and other things around the house. In bulk, 4 or 5L bottles, is way cheaper and far more effective than any window cleaner on the market.

Not impressed with this polish at all, it's only good to remove rain stains. Used on a machine still requires a fair bit of work, I wouldn't even attempt polishing any window with this polish + elbow grease
Just don't apply the windscreen sealant. It's the most useless meguiars product I've ever used.

This stuff is cheating. Doesn't remove much.. leaves a coating that hides the hard spots... autoglym glass polish way better. Use buffer

I would stick to a applicator pad or microfibre towel. You may introduce scratches with the steel wool.
