Blood atonement was a Brighamite invention, from my understanding.
I was born and raised in the biggest /Brighamite sect. I had never learned about Adam-God, blood atonement etc. as I was growing up. I'm 44, and only heard of these horrid doctrines recently.
Just to add to the confusion, even the scriptures LDS/Mormon/Brighamite holds as cannon have been modified. The Doctrine and Covenants originally contained what was known as the Lectures on Faith where it states that the HG is the combined mind/will of God the Father and of Christ....
I'm grateful to God to have allowed me to see through the deception (finally). I pray that God will continue to guide me to His truth, no matter what it looks like and despite my preconceived notions and conditioning. 🙏🧡🙏

@everyday tenor even with 2 it's polytheism. Now I can refer you to OT references including deep study of Hebrew language that shows the Trinity in the OT. The same OT Jesus Himself had which would be what was buried in the rubble 100 to 200 years before Christ Jesus was born. The scripture hasn't changed, and the Trinity was already there. Just because there was no name for it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Without adding or removing anything from scripture it is already there in the language and the text itself.
@everyday tenor we've been through this before, you and I. I won't be fooled by false information about Christianity. Developed understanding of what was already there is more like it. Unlike the doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church and the LDS church, there was no need for anything extra-biblical to prove this doctrine, so developed is not an accurate word, regardless of who may have quoted that word.

@shamounian We all know Mormons are not Christians, and why? Because there is no Mormon Church! Where is the Mormon Church? I like your channel, and would love to Skype with you; but since my Church is not a Mormon church, I am not a Mormon or don't believe in Mormonism, I have no reason to debate with you on those points. In the Church, we follow Jesus Christ, and everything we do is in his name! So what is a Christian, one who follows Jesus Christ? Was Joseph Smith perfect? No! Are you perfect? The answer is obvious and no! But you stated your relative's religion is closer to Islam! The Quran is satanic, and not relative to God in the Bible. The Church was never the Mormon Church.
