War Begun rocks so damn hard on live versions. It's just incredible how much better the live version is than album and that is NOT even a knock on the album version!

I have several concert recordings of MMJ. I go back to this as one their best. an off night for the Jacket is still better than most bands on a good night.
This is my go to on you tube for good vibes. Saw them at red rocks this year and they played this in night 2 and my face melted. I was in the qst row and my face melted.....if you can find video of that version id check it out. .....the things Jim did with that guitar were amazing
I have to say this song is by far my favorite my morning jacket song, and this recording is everything, thank you for uploading it! I have watched this video sooooo many times on repeat; its makes me feel sad and happy at the same time; don't know how. I would do anything to see them perform this song live, it means so much to me. such a great song & such a great band!!
I have seen MMJ four times throughout the years and they are still amazing to see and hear, as evidenced by this show...and by the way his bandmates still look at Jim even after so many shows.

Can't wait for MMJ to head back to the UK. Saw them in London in September 2015 and it feels like a lifetime ago! Will deffo get tickets to more than one show next time as most of my favourites got played the night before in Manchester! Don't think there's many bands you can see live where they don't play your absolute favourites but you still have an amazing time...
Seriously, is there more of this concert recorded on video with audio from the sound board? I'd buy a DVD of it. The audio quality is quite good( so say my ears listening through KRK Rockit 6's & a KRK 10S sub) and the dynamics of the band are spectacular!
A lot of folks get sad with this one & esp this venue..but no!!..use it as a guide to love of FRIENDS & FAMILY!!..louisvilles own!!..jim & I have same birthday as well..best band ever out of the VILLE!
I believe its about getting separated from another person during difficult times, the "war" of losing each other.. That's just my interpretation of it, I love how his songs are so open ended so that the listener can envision their own version.

Its even more amazing how much better it sounds outside the US! I hope they release some new music for a concert when things 'resume'.
