A video compilation highlighting moments of (fairly) loud thunder/close lightning occurrences over the 2008 to 2016 period. Due to RUclips inconveniently removing existing annotation tags, I use this video description to highlight the dates of the selected thunderstorm events (46 dates), as well as the time ranges in the video in which these dates and their featured thunderstorms occur. over here in the uk our storms aint that great either its rare we have violent ones compared to the states and australia for example

Thunderstorms are the craziest sound I have heard dosent it frighten some people
They really are! The sound of the thunder, as well as the sudden burst of light that lightning can produce is, indeed, terrifying! Close cloud-to-ground strikes can cause the most spectacular and scary moments! The fear of thunder and lightning is quite common, as well, and is referred to as astraphobia.
No not often but usually when I’m half asleep in the middle of the night and a strong storm passes by it wakes me up and actually a month ago this year I caught possibly one of the most terrifying lightning strikes ever and the thunder freaked me out I actually almost started crying after my heart was racing as well I was better after though I have the video ruclips.net/video/4aNaHcZbzzE/видео.html
