Since you say you've been listening to a lot of kpop, you might like to know that ONE OK ROCK is extremely popular in S. Korea and lots of Korean artists like them too. The band's song "Wherever you are" has been covered by many Korean artists. My Korean friend tells me that OOR is like THE Japanese band that everyone knows of in Korea.

@@ddperks1131 Linkin Park is actually one of their inspirations! They were supposed to tour with LP in the US on the One More Light tour but Chester passed away. Mike Shinoda produced their song "One Way Ticket." Taka, the vocalist, performed "Somewhere I Belong" at Chester's tribute concert at the Hollywood Bowl.
And surely someone will recommend to you to check out the live performance of "Take What You Want," and if you react to that, likely someone in the comments will claim that the beginning part of the song is a tribute to Chester. I'll let you know right now that that is false and that they've been including that part as part of their performance since before Chester passed so don't believe it if someone mentions it. That said though, you SHOULD check out the live performance of "Take What You Want." 🤣

They do alot of "anthem" type songs. I've seen them 6 times in 3 cities in the past 10 years and every time I see them its inspirational ❤

Thanks for checking out my recommendation. The members are Taka (frontman), Ryota (bass), Toru (guitar) and Tomoya (drums). "We are" is such an anthem.
Taka writes almost all of the lyrics and he wants to deliver a meaningful message. He has not only a great voice, he's also a very emotional singer and his interaction with the crowd is awesome. OOR is a rabbit hole to go down.
I had the pleasure to see them live in Germany last year. Their energy on stage is something else.
BTW, they will come to Inglewood, CA, on Oct 23rd. You should watch them live.

@@ddperks1131 You're welcome. They have been to the US a few times and they regularly tour the world. OOR is becoming increasingly well known internationally. In Japan they are megastars. They have collaborated with Linkin Park (Taka was friends with Chester), Avril Lavigne, Ed Sheeran, 5 Seconds of Summer and other stars.

I went to Ambitions Japan Dome Tour for the last two shows in Fukuoka, it's my first time seeing them in such a huge venue and I absolutely love every song they performed. You got to buy the blue ray discs and watch the full show!

I would suggest for you to take a look at BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan 2015, they create their own music gender which still blooms today.

@@ddperks1131 for me? absolutely yes. But you need to check their live version and that doesn't mean the studio version or MV isn't good. I don't know how to explain it, but you'll find out for yourself. Just like this song (We are), go check their studio version or MV then compare it with this live version. Goodluck😊
u should definitely go down the One Ok Rock rabbit hole , definitely they are such a great band and they have so many Bangers , and all of them are meaningful too , u gonna love them 100% , also their live music is better than their studio versions which is crazy , and they are literally 1 with their fanbase , in every concert they singing their songs together with the crowd as u witnessed here which just makes it magical

Loved your reaction and I want you to check out another live version of this song. It was performed with 1,000 young adults during the 18Fes (18 Year Old kids festival) by NHK (Japanese television) during the year that Japan lowered the voting age from 20 to 18. This performance hits the feels even more! Thanks.
