No any gap under doors... What`s going on? As I see, there is only one way - probably somebody from neighbours thrown it on our roof... Than, this creature used a gap in between the roof fascia and gutter (under roof tiles) to enter the attic and jump inside after... :(

    i have a phobia of frogs and i live in florida so come summertime, i live in a perpetual nightmare. my only solace is inside the house or at the beach where it is free of frogs. one time i came home to three big frogs guarding my front door, i could not come inside the house as i was stricken in fear. i can only blame my mom for putting up solar lights near the front door which may have attracted them. at this point i would rather have 10 snakes in my yard than 1 frog as they look less scary to me

    i love our resident tree frogs. Our garden now never has a snail problem in the garden - so I think they must have eaten every snail egg they ever found. We do not have any bird baths nor any pond so they cannot breed in our garden - thus they have never become "too many" for us.
    But there are wet lands about a ten minute walk away from our home so we know where they came from. They have happily lived in our garden for over 5 years now. We do not feed them but clearly they would not stay for 5 years if there was nothing to eat. They do eat all sorts of insects in the garden. Reason why we never use poisons in the garden - meaning the fruit and vegetables we grow are not touched by poisons. none of the frogs have ever entered our home - they prefer our well mulched garden full of plants

    The only reason you'd be afraid of frogs and toads is if you've become so domesticated that basic natural sounds and animals are alien to you. If you complain about them getting in your house just stop leaving your door open or take them back outside. I lived with frogs and lizards for years doing this and it was never a problem I just put them back occasionally when they got lost and came inside my home.

Came across a very large Cape Sand Toad (I live in SA and we call these "vlei paddas") and they are my worse nightmare. Im assuming this was a mother frog because the thing was huge. I freaked out when I encountered this monster and buried it under the sand and moved on to another part of the garden I'm busy cleaning.
    I use to come across these back in the country where i grew up, and would kill it no questions asked. This one just scared the shit out of me 😆

      @@Noofter So you have never used pesticide and would you not kill a snake that may be a danger to yourself and your family even if it does have some benefits to the environment.
      Some people actually have panic attacks if they have certain rodents, insects or animals in their yard and yes some of these critters are not away in some far away country habitat but in city and suburban centers.
      You don't have to 'coddle' anyone but understand and respect others situation.

    • @Noofter
      @Noofter 2 года назад

      @@ExtrovertedCenobite Pesticide is unnecessary if you properly clean your house and store your food properly. Comparing a potentially venomous snake to a frog is like apples and oranges. Venomous frogs don’t exist and the poison ones are only dangerous if you try to eat them. Oh boohoo you get hopped on? Suck it up. And yes it is coddling to not ask someone to get help and letting their mental illness dictate their behavior, I would argue it’s even abusive to the person. I’m not going to respect someone murdering beautiful and ecologically essential critters because one time they had to shoo one off their door or something, I don’t believe in telling sociopaths their behavior is normal. Do you also kill people that make you nervous and anxious? That may sound like a ridiculous question but by your logic it’s a morally sound choice to make apparently. There are places without frogs for those people who can’t handle them, in fact there are quite a few of those places. You wanting to live in a certain region doesn’t override the right of the native animals that have been there for thousands of years to exist

    Attracting frogs and toads into your garden is a pesticide-free and natural way of greatly lowering your pest population. This is a horrible video.

    It’s crazy how some people are attacking others for being afraid or not want frogs on their property. I personally am afraid of them and do not like them on my door they poop everywhere and I think it’s a bit disgusting 🤮 I do not have any bugs or tall grass like like to sit on top of my light fixture. I enclosed it and they still go on it 🫡 just crazy!!! I don’t want to kill them just want them gone. And I think we have the right to want to peace of mind for ourselves. That’s like being afraid of dogs but someone telling you no play with it or not liking the way something taste 👅 that’s what makes us unique we all like and dislike different things.

      throw salt in areas they may go by, if you throw salt on a toad, it will eventually die of dehydration

    This video makes me sad and angry. These creatures are endangered. Start protecting them in your garden. if you have a lot of frogs and toads you are really lucky. If they scare you or freak you out, try learning about them. Your yard is their world too. x

    Don't kill off frogs and toads. Sakes, birds, and frogs and toads are good for your yard! Leave them alone. As a toad owner, I find this idiotic and illogical.
    Sincerely,

      My wife & me recently bought a home near Augusta, GA. There is some kind of small pond or Green body of water just on the other side of the fence from us. We are covered in frogs every night! They are all over our back door, get smashed in the door, they crap on the door, get inside the house & inside the garage. Whenever you go outside at night, you can't avoid them. You will step on them, not even trying to! I normally don't mind frogs, but I do when they become an infestation!!!
