just wanted to say, since you probably didnt know, the rapper NLJ or NoneLikeJoshua was recently revealed to be a racist asshole, and has since then been pushed out of the nerdcore community but hes still on a few older songs/cyphers that were released before we knew that he was racist, i suggest you just skip his parts when reacting to any older cyphers that he is on
Rustage dropped an album also recently that is really good and would recommend at least some of the tracks for you to watch even if you don't do the whole thing like the Wizard Music video
Divide Music is an Incredibly talented artist. You would likely appreciate the depth of emotion he captures in this video, but any of his song's are worth recommending; the man has the range of a laser. RED HOOD SONG | "D.I.T.F" | Divide Music [DC Comics] ruclips.net/video/ltFyiPtthro/видео.html
Damn the bear himself speaks, lol. But yea, I have to agree, especially because back then, you were still trying so hard to be American English 😅 P.S I personally find it so cool that you would still comment on a new reaction of a cypher that's 3 years old at this point, shows admiration as an artist
"I've been hopeless It's not like anybody would notice I've been broken Don't wanna lose control of emotions " Easily my favourite Mob Psycho song in Nerdcore
To add onto this, Zach just dropped a Bocchi track that I think anyone in a creative field can relate to, but especially in the music scene. Easily my favorite pen in the game and was the main guy to get me into rap.
Divide Music is absolutely AMAZING! He really does more of the melodic rock type of music than rapping but still sticks within the Nerdcore Genre and is an absolute LEGEND!
Zach Boucher is undervalued, underrated, and unbeatable... He is a master of flows, finding pockets that are unreal, and he literally makes his voice an instrument 💯
Nezuko is is the name of the protagonist sister so him saying " u mess with nez u ko'd when i see you" hits different when you know that big props for catchin when you never seen it
This is nostalgically considered a modern classic for what it did for the scene, but pretty much everyone in particular and cyphers as a whole have gotten WAY better. Diggz Da Prophecy’s (anime Raekwon) is a rapper-rapper and his verse is considered pretty much legendary to everyone in the scene after this 😆 ~_~
Fabvl does rap but he is mostly known for his singing and screamo style. Also because you looked a little confused the "you know it's really over when that black lady sings" is a reference to Ichigo's OST 'number 1' being sung by a black lady when he is about to crush someone.
Man, holy shit I was just randomly watching the original again and saw your reaction. Nice. 5:46 The d-d-d-duel there's sandstorm lines was a reference to the English opening and the song by Darude - Sandstorm ~ 6:25 "Think your deck's gonna go X-0 Oh dear" The X-0 in a tournament setting means you've won however many rounds have been played so far and have 0 losses. "Hey man, it's round 4, how you doing so far?", "Shit man, doing great, I'm X-0!" 13:54 "Ever mess with Nez-u-ko-d when I see you" his sister's name is Nezuko 15:08 See I'm the anime Rayquon, the chief baby stay calm" - Rayquon is a rapper who's name is "The Chief"
Divide Music is definitely worth a look... He and Fabvl actually went to school together. Divide recently dropped a Future Trunks track that is 🔥🔥🔥 Beginning of the End
None like Josh actually was blacksing on that bar of "Can't keep up with my chakra flow except Hinata, I'm her hokage." Because Naruto's biggest dream in life as revealed in episode 3 of the entirety of his story is that he wanted to be the hokage of the hidden leaf village.
Zach is an absolute goat, nothing more to say (btw, am I the only one that when I heard falling in reverse- watch the world burn, got huge zach vibes in the choppy part??)
Always fun to go back in time to see how far these guys have progressed.. Sure we lost a few, and stopped watching others, but the community is still going hard these days. Can't wait for when you react to singular anime artists and their songs. One's I'd recommend are Rustage, Daddyphatsnaps, Fabvl, ZachB, Divide, and Shawabadi.
Dude his song or he uses every ruler in history to compare why he's the greatest is both lyrically genius and historically genius and one song I think above all others Knox would love
This is a classic, was the second track from anime nerdcore I had listened too as well. Still pretty good but obviously they've all come so far that its hard to compare.
In the Yu-Gi-Oh verse by ConnorQuest. When referring to Yugi being a “Hadron Tunnel” because “I got Atem through me”. Connor is referring to a particle collider which throws atoms at each other.
the black bulls rap cypher and the hashira rap cypher are a must watch to get you familiar with people in nerdcore and different styles, i love these reactions btw keep it up
This cypher is definitely pretty dated, but still gold for its time. If you want another more recent cypher with a lot of these dudes returning, you should totally check out DaddyPhatSnaps' "Tournament of Power Cypher," and even more recently, Shwabadi's "Beasts of Anime Cypher."
If you loved this one, there's a second Shonen Jump Cypher that I strongly believe you'll enjoy just as much. Regarding the last bar of IBDL's Ichigo verse: there's a song on the Bleach soundtrack called "Number One" (performed by Hazel Fernandes) that would often play during battles in the earlier episodes. As soon as that beat started kicking in and Hazel's voice started up, whoever Ichigo was fighting was about to get that work. So most of the time, it really was over when the black lady started singin'.
Definitely one of the cyphers that blew this scene up would definitely highly recommend looking into shwabadi’s death song or basically anything by ham sandwich
What I love about nerdcore is that it requires a certain amount of knowledge that I don't think normal rap requires. You need to understand and embody the character you are rapping as, and watching cyphers like these, you get to see how many nerdcore rappers truly understand their character
Man, I love when Knox reacts to an anime that he’s watched and gets the references. ❤ If you ask me I think you should react to Rustage’s Batman rap and Death note rap since you’ve watched Death Note. Also, I think it’d be great to know about the anime you've watched for a better suggestion.
So for the Ichigo/Bleach section the “Its not over till that black lady sings” line references Ichigos theme called Number One sung by Hazel Ferdinand. It’s a very uplifting soul pop song when you listen to the whole thing, and it usually leads to some of the best action set pieces in Bleach. Also the Spirit Gun anime is YuYu Hakusho it was my first anime with DBZ and Man Slayer
The Black Bulls and Isekai cyphers are also also really good. Also, I really think you should listen to some Daddyphatsnaps. He's the one who does Goku in this cypher and his stuff is awesome!
Hey Knox! Suga has a new album and documentary coming on the 21st. Looks like he’s not coming to play either as he’s travelled the world in the search of putting his soul into this album. Hope you can check both out when they drop! The late Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto looks to be in this doc among other amazing music figures, as he’s always been a huge inspiration to Suga and his music. I wouldn’t be surprised to a classical piece in this album either!
Knox if you ever have time to react to it, Dizzyeight made this insane cypher a while back based of a few cjdachamp videos. The black air force energy cypher is 16 minutes of beat killing
I probably would have never saw this. I did watch the Luffy vs Goku, and it was great. Thanks, now I may go more into watching other anime raps like this.
I hope everyone knows these guys have all gotten a million times better over the years since this was put out. Hell Shwab is still hiding his accent back during this
13:52 others have probably said this but, it's not a wordplay on his name. his name is tanjiro. it's a wordplay on his sister's name, nezuko. tanjiro is very protective of nezuko as she is his only living family member, despite the fact she was turned into a demon. even though he's a demon slayer and she's a demon, he protects her with his life. she was given a bamboo muzzle right at the start, to prevent her from drinking blood. that muzzle is the main thing stopping her from becoming like the other demons. demon slayer, highly recommend.,
Ay, let’s goooo! We got more Nerdcore from Knox!! You’ll love this one. Fun fact: This was the first track I listened to by Rustage! I recommend Rustage’s Batman rap, which features DizzyEight! You’ll love it! Also the Shonen Jump Cypher 2 is really good!
I don't know if you ever heard of Random Aka Mega Ran, a nerdcore rapper but he was an English teacher for inner city kids and has some great rhymes and metaphors, the entire Black Materia album (with Lost perception) that's done to beats over the final fantasy 7 soundtrack that tells the entire story of the game is great. Super Nintendo Sega genesis with Richie Branson is also fresh which pays homage to the notorious big, and is just nostalgic for those who grew up in the 90's
It feels like it's been ages since I've seen this cypher, it's wild to think about having been there when it released for the first time. Thanks for this dope breakdown Knox, I highly recommend checking out more of Zach B's tracks! My top 3 recommendations from him would be: - Mob Psycho 100 Shigeo rap "Heart and Soul" - Spike Spiegel rap (feat. The Kevin Bennet) - His most recent Hitori Gotou rap "Talk to You" (feat. Johnald) Mob Psycho is pretty widely considered to be some of his best ever writing, Spike Spiegel's in my opinion is close to that writing level peak with Kevin having is best ever performance I've heard from him on it, and it's possible the Hitori Gotou track is just recency bias but I think it's very motivational for anyone in a creative field, especially music and writing.
This to me is the track that jumpstarted nerdcore, at least what introduced me to it, but honestly compared to what they do now it's quite obvious just how much all of them have grown
Oooh myyyy GAAAAWWWDD!! Divide’s section of this cypher EVERY TIME GIVES ME CHILLS BRO!! 🤘🔥🤘🔥 so damn good!!! You gotta listen to Divide’s music Knox. It’s so good!!
Great reaction Knox, I've been following your channel for a while now and think that you would really enjoy reacting to The Stupendium. They mostly do music on Games but write the songs with a deeper message behind them. I really like 'AD INFINITUM', it has a lot of great writing and a lot of different flows. Another song that isn't as fast but still has a lot of complex rhyme schemes is 'Slide into the void'. Their music videos are awesome as well since he uses a lot of costumes and sets/animations. You should really check him out. I think you're going to like it
What else should we react to? 🤔 Comment below!! Also if you guys want to support the channel join the Patreon for more reactions & content 🤟 www.patreon.com/knoxhill
Anything by Zach B is really fun but his Kiriko song and broken are really good recent releases
just wanted to say, since you probably didnt know, the rapper NLJ or NoneLikeJoshua was recently revealed to be a racist asshole, and has since then been pushed out of the nerdcore community but hes still on a few older songs/cyphers that were released before we knew that he was racist, i suggest you just skip his parts when reacting to any older cyphers that he is on
If you want a more melodic rustage he sings on some of his newer tracks.
Such as his.mahito rap which is cool af and a bop
Rustage dropped an album also recently that is really good and would recommend at least some of the tracks for you to watch even if you don't do the whole thing like the Wizard Music video
Divide Music is an Incredibly talented artist.
You would likely appreciate the depth of emotion he captures in this video, but any of his song's are worth recommending; the man has the range of a laser.

I love looking back at this cypher but this is such a bad old verse of mine LMAO
I got some much better stuff lately that you should check out 😎
Damn the bear himself speaks, lol.
But yea, I have to agree, especially because back then, you were still trying so hard to be American English 😅
P.S I personally find it so cool that you would still comment on a new reaction of a cypher that's 3 years old at this point, shows admiration as an artist
Damn didn't expect to see a goat here lol yea he needs to hear some of your newer stuff for sure
100% man, still good but got better, keep improving my guy ✌🏼 (also fan of d&d after music, has to say it)
My 2 favorite reaction rappers in the same place!
Bad? I don’t believe that is true, yours and CDawg’s were my favorite verses
It's crazy rewatching this cypher and seeing how much everyone on it has improved since it's release
Honestly I haven't listened to this in a long time. Wait til he heres Daddyphatsnaps
On god tho “Yo I’m the anime Raekwon” hits like a truck every time.
Yeah I didn't even recognize Fabvl at first.
Then there's CDawgVA pulling some irl JoJo's shit.
Anime Raekwon here and glad you like my verse fam. I appreciate it 😎
You killed it man
Zach Boucher is super underrated imo. His mob psycho rap is 10/10 would recommend you check it out!
"I've been hopeless
It's not like anybody would notice
I've been broken
Don't wanna lose control of emotions "
Easily my favourite Mob Psycho song in Nerdcore
My boi zach built different
His menace track is 10/10
Real talk zach got one the best flow types to me
To add onto this, Zach just dropped a Bocchi track that I think anyone in a creative field can relate to, but especially in the music scene. Easily my favorite pen in the game and was the main guy to get me into rap.
Divide Music is absolutely AMAZING! He really does more of the melodic rock type of music than rapping but still sticks within the Nerdcore Genre and is an absolute LEGEND!
He's my favorite 😍
Yeah Divide and Fabvl are my favorites in the Nerdcore scene. They are the goats.
Absolutely
Yeah Divide, Fabvl, DPS, and Rustage
So good
Zach Boucher is undervalued, underrated, and unbeatable... He is a master of flows, finding pockets that are unreal, and he literally makes his voice an instrument 💯
No crucifying! Thanks for checkin my verse! Been so long since I heard this one, but let us know if you check out our latest raps!
You f****** killed it brother
A classic. I really enjoy part 2 and the villains cypher too. Really cool seeing the styles change as they take different character roles.
He needs to do these next. Especially part 2. Also needs to react to "Trifecta" for more Divide.
I think the Villains is the best of the shonen jump raps
@@fossakwezy3972lol I really love saiyan cypher
Nezuko is is the name of the protagonist sister so him saying " u mess with nez u ko'd when i see you" hits different when you know that big props for catchin when you never seen it
The confusion on Knox's face at the "black lady sings" bar is great lol apparently he's never heard Ichigo's theme song lol
This is nostalgically considered a modern classic for what it did for the scene, but pretty much everyone in particular and cyphers as a whole have gotten WAY better.
Diggz Da Prophecy’s (anime Raekwon) is a rapper-rapper and his verse is considered pretty much legendary to everyone in the scene after this 😆
~_~
Divide and DPS have fantastic songs
Fabvl does rap but he is mostly known for his singing and screamo style. Also because you looked a little confused the "you know it's really over when that black lady sings" is a reference to Ichigo's OST 'number 1' being sung by a black lady when he is about to crush someone.
Man, holy shit I was just randomly watching the original again and saw your reaction. Nice.
5:46 The d-d-d-duel there's sandstorm lines was a reference to the English opening and the song by Darude - Sandstorm
~ 6:25 "Think your deck's gonna go X-0 Oh dear" The X-0 in a tournament setting means you've won however many rounds have been played so far and have 0 losses. "Hey man, it's round 4, how you doing so far?", "Shit man, doing great, I'm X-0!"
13:54 "Ever mess with Nez-u-ko-d when I see you" his sister's name is Nezuko
15:08 See I'm the anime Rayquon, the chief baby stay calm" - Rayquon is a rapper who's name is "The Chief"
Divide Music is definitely worth a look... He and Fabvl actually went to school together.
Divide recently dropped a Future Trunks track that is 🔥🔥🔥 Beginning of the End
13:59 The word play : The sister of the protagonist of the show is called Nezuko.
So "Nez u ko'd"
13:44 "Ever mess with Nez U KO'd when I see you"; the character's little sister is named Nezuko, so yeah, nailed it on the wordplay.
Also, in Dizzyeight's verse, he raps as Tanjiro, and he protects his sister named Nezuko (Nez u ko'd) that was the double
AT 13:55 THERE WAS A WORD PLAY THERE, TANJIROS SISTER IS NEZ AND HER FULL NAME IS NEZUKO SO ITS "EVER MESS WTH NEZ-U-KO'D WHEN I SEE U NEZUKO!!!
Zach b is super underrated, man has some of the best writing in nerdcore
Always fun to go back in time to see how far these guys have progressed.. Sure we lost a few, and stopped watching others, but the community is still going hard these days. Can't wait for when you react to singular anime artists and their songs. One's I'd recommend are Rustage, Daddyphatsnaps, Fabvl, ZachB, Divide, and Shawabadi.
Rustage actually dropped to Anime Unrelated Albums, one of them Yesterday. They are actually bangers. 10/10 would recommend
I'd LOVE to see you react to Divide sure he doesn't normally rap but he's AMAZING and has a great melodic flow
Never heard of Divide? You sir, are in for a treat.
Rustsge and Dan Bull were featured in the Mediocre Rap Cypher of the LEC, a league of legends rap cypher
Divide Music is my absolute favorite and he always manages to shake my emotions one way or another.
"Trifecta" by Daddyphatsnaps ft Divide and Zach B would be a good one. Let you see a bit more of what Zach and Divide can do
Shonen Jump Cypher 2 and Black Bulls cypher are a must.
Ladies of Anime as well.
Ah yes, the cypher that started it all for a lot of us. There's a sequel too!
In the Yu-Gi-Oh verse by ConnorQuest. When referring to Yugi being a “Hadron Tunnel” because “I got Atem through me”. Connor is referring to a particle collider which throws atoms at each other.
the black bulls rap cypher and the hashira rap cypher are a must watch to get you familiar with people in nerdcore and different styles, i love these reactions btw keep it up
Love that you’re doing Rustage Cypher reactions. If you haven’t done the Hashira cypher is a really great newer one.
The sandstorm reference was to the song darude sandstorm "d-d-d-duel" sounds like the do-do-do-do in darude
Zach B is just so gifted with his pen game
Can't wait to see you react to the newer stuff coming out of the nerdcore scene. Especially now that you have a look at these artists from the past.
Except NLJ
Fun Fact: CdawgVA isn't a rapper but he is a voice actor and he is also British hence the British accent in his verse.
His verse was too short..wish he do another one
All of Cam Steadys pokemon raps are fantastic
Love the content ong
Please keep doing Rustage cyphers Knox, few analyze rap like you do
This cypher is definitely pretty dated, but still gold for its time. If you want another more recent cypher with a lot of these dudes returning, you should totally check out DaddyPhatSnaps' "Tournament of Power Cypher," and even more recently, Shwabadi's "Beasts of Anime Cypher."
You gotta check out the Shonen Jump Rap Cypher 2 which in my opinion blows this one out of the water
Hey, if you're looking for more cyphers to react to I would suggest the swordsman of anime cyhper by Rapknight
Divide is by far my favorite nerdcore artist. You should definitely check out his stuff!
Best April Fools video this year!
God man watching this reaction just honestly made me realize how much I miss NLJ being involved in nerdcore projects today
I do wish he was a better person
If you loved this one, there's a second Shonen Jump Cypher that I strongly believe you'll enjoy just as much.
Regarding the last bar of IBDL's Ichigo verse: there's a song on the Bleach soundtrack called "Number One" (performed by Hazel Fernandes) that would often play during battles in the earlier episodes. As soon as that beat started kicking in and Hazel's voice started up, whoever Ichigo was fighting was about to get that work. So most of the time, it really was over when the black lady started singin'.
I love that Ichigo verse; I can't believe how much he sounds like Johnny Yong Bosch. It's dope as hell.
When this dropped it was huge
Yes more anime reactions!!!
Knox FINALLY listening to Nerdcore again? Have I been missing other nerdcore reactions???
Definitely one of the cyphers that blew this scene up would definitely highly recommend looking into shwabadi’s death song or basically anything by ham sandwich
Divide music is one of the best in the nerdcore scene, he does more rock than rap though
So when he was talking about a choir he heard was that a hint at a future pre recorded reaction video to dps ragnarok 👀
I feel like you should definitely watch "Break my body" by Divide music Knox!!! It's not new by any means but the energy is still there!
The sandstorm line is in reference to Daurdes "Sandstorm" beat.
What I love about nerdcore is that it requires a certain amount of knowledge that I don't think normal rap requires. You need to understand and embody the character you are rapping as, and watching cyphers like these, you get to see how many nerdcore rappers truly understand their character
Idkw I now want you to react to the muppets unlikely cypher from THe Stupendium. xD
That anime that you couldn't place is Yuyu Hakusho.
One of the older OGs
AH THATS RIGHT!! Man I used to watch it too
So for the Ichigo/Bleach section the “Its not over till that black lady sings” line references Ichigos theme called Number One sung by Hazel Ferdinand.
This got me into the scene and Its crazy how GOOD they all got over these last few years!
More anime cyphers are NEEDED!!!
13:58 it's a play on the character's sister's name being Nezuko
Maaaannn this is a throwback for me for sure
I never thought that you reacting to this is possible
Divide doesn't do too much rap, but his songs are truly divine, I highly recommend checking his songs out
Ho thing was like HO. KAGE
Love it when you dive into nerdcore, there is so much gold to be discovered!
I wonder if Knox is going to listen/react to Rustage's Wizard MV or his album?
Peeps in my class always ask me what kind of song or genre you like when i say anime and rap they think im a nerd
Hell yah set sail!!!!
"Live there I had to have that shout out" my reflexes are to fast... I'd catch it.
I probably would have never saw this. I did watch the Luffy vs Goku, and it was great. Thanks, now I may go more into watching other anime raps like this.
i recommend zach b - shigeo rap (mob psycho 100) an old but gold song stuck in my head ever since release
At some point in the future, I hope Knox reacts to the UK Trio. I wanna see if he can tell who's rapping in the Cross Guild Rap 😆
One of Zach’s extremely underrated songs is Breathing in it’s amazing
I hope everyone knows these guys have all gotten a million times better over the years since this was put out. Hell Shwab is still hiding his accent back during this
More Daddyphatsnaps!!! especially his recent songs are incredible
Love the nerdcore reactions.
Hey Knox love the videos mane , but quick question could you do a reaction video of Jadeci ~ Mobile suit fang
i really need to see a reaction to the music Fabvl makes now, the improvement since this cypher is insane!
Psss "is a hidden talent" there's more... my brain hurts. Throwing punches on a pillow, that's for sure take me home.
Huge respect for reacting to the nerd core community ❤
Same
13:52 others have probably said this but, it's not a wordplay on his name. his name is tanjiro. it's a wordplay on his sister's name, nezuko. tanjiro is very protective of nezuko as she is his only living family member, despite the fact she was turned into a demon. even though he's a demon slayer and she's a demon, he protects her with his life. she was given a bamboo muzzle right at the start, to prevent her from drinking blood. that muzzle is the main thing stopping her from becoming like the other demons.
demon slayer, highly recommend.,
This is a very good one, and yet at the same it is crazy how this is only the starting line for this scene
This is a delight to witness
My top 3 recommendations from him would be:
- Mob Psycho 100 Shigeo rap "Heart and Soul"
- Spike Spiegel rap (feat. The Kevin Bennet)
- His most recent Hitori Gotou rap "Talk to You" (feat. Johnald)
Mob Psycho is pretty widely considered to be some of his best ever writing, Spike Spiegel's in my opinion is close to that writing level peak with Kevin having is best ever performance I've heard from him on it, and it's possible the Hitori Gotou track is just recency bias but I think it's very motivational for anyone in a creative field, especially music and writing.
Another really great cypher is called the muppet show cypher by the Stupendium
This to me is the track that jumpstarted nerdcore, at least what introduced me to it, but honestly compared to what they do now it's quite obvious just how much all of them have grown
Oooh myyyy GAAAAWWWDD!! Divide’s section of this cypher EVERY TIME GIVES ME CHILLS BRO!! 🤘🔥🤘🔥 so damn good!!!
You gotta listen to Divide’s music Knox. It’s so good!!
I want you to watch Rustage's Isekai cypher. I found my favorite artist on that track and it's still good honestly. Great content brother!
