I know just a LITTLE bit for each one.
I remember hearing something about IG-88 wanting to become the Death Star.
Dream big. Wish upon a star. :)
I'm glad you see 4-Lom and Zucckus as having been confused.
I don't mean to be biased, but having been a Star Wars fan in the 90s makes it that much easier for me.
I didn't have the background of the Kenner names of the 80s.
I like the Boba Fett story from the book. Interesting take on making him a vigilante.
I heard Dengar had retired, but as soon as he heard about the bounty on Han Solo, he came out of retirement.
He couldn't pass that up. :)
    Thanks for the video

It's a great book! I highly recommend it to Star Wars fans and to fans of science fiction's subgenre space opera in general.
When people wonder why I'm so disappointed in The Mandalorian and Book of Boba Fett, I point to this book. Its much better than the series we're getting on TV.

As someone who was 8 when the toys came out, it's pronounced 4 EL OH EM, like C3PO. That's how the original commercial said the name. These were the prime ESB toys! Rebels were dressed almost universally in brown and white, Snowtroopers were mostly white, and most of us had characters like Vader and Chewbacca by that point. But the 4 original bounty hunters were interesting. They had cool outfits and were covered with interesting tools and gizmos, and they all had cool guns! Most of my ESB adventures involved one of the bounty hunters. Fun fact, as a kid at the time, most of us made the cantina characters we had bounty hunters too!

The aspect of these characters that made them so likeable was the mystery behind them. That’s what makes them the perfect villains/anti heroes.
Take away the mystery (which is what Disney has done with Boba Fett) and you ruin the strongest asset these characters have (which is what Disney has done with Boba Fett).

I remember reading this book after watching this video. I would have been 11 at its release. Thanks for bringing back the memory.
Shadows of the Empire had a bigger impact on me. The book was great, and the Nintendo 64 launch game let you live it out. Always wished they made that book into a film. The Batman book where Bane breaks his back and Azrael takes over Batman’s duties came out around the same time and that was great as well.

When Disney bought Star Wars and re-birthed Canon, this book instantly came to mind, a shame to be discarded from the Universe. The IG-88 story perhaps particularly given its relevancy to the Saga

ok, so far, not bad...a bit too much theatrics for my liking, not to mention seeing your collection reminds me of how stupid a kid i was (go ahead, ask me what i did to my ORIGINAL AT-AT...and grab a kleenex!)...
that said, in the realm of 6:45ish, you bring up what is cannon and what isn't, and that's always been a sore spot with me; so many good stories written only to be written off because the average gumby can't keep up with the fact that, well, for instance: there's an accident...20 people saw it happen, you'll get 20 different stories as to what happened, savvy?
please take this as the constructive criticism that it is, and NOT as an attack...it's been...entertainment...

Hey Jeff! Thats for the very constructive criticism :). So what DID you do with your original Star Wars toys? Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, my friend.

@@StarWarsRewind, by the time i realized that there were things called "collectibles"...they got played with...rather hard...and then forgotten...

@@StarWarsRewind, the AT-AT was an amazing gift, christmas, as i remember...
Cobra had gotten in league with The Empire through a deal with Skeletor...
AAAAND they had a clear line of where The Death Star plans had wound up,..
so, a couple storm troopers led by Storm Shadow and FireFly, and one very irritated Beast Man were crossing the forest of Endor...WHEN MAN-AT-ARMS, a jedi-in-hiding, BROUGHT THE FIGHT TO THE ENEMY! he had loaded a MIRV (Multiple Independently-targetable Reentry Vehicles) onto a XH-1 Dragonfly, flown by Wild Bill, and launched it directly into the body of that AT-AT, obliterating it and the enemies it carried!
(i had a 50 count bottle rocket battery, and wedged it into the body of the AT-AT...in less than 5 minutes, it was a molten mess, a single leg remained standing...STUPID DAMN KID!!!)

Sounds like when I crashed my Millenium Falcon down the stairs, into a million pieces.

Executor, not executioner. Executor was the lead ship of the Executor-class dreadnought, commonly referred to as the Super Star Destroyer.

This is a really clever and fascinating story. But how is it not fan fiction? Did George Lucas personally approve this as canon?
