So i have a 2000 toyota 4 runner that was given to me i have a/c but i dont have heat. My heater core is bypass and the a/c line is cut im assuming for the heater is there any way you can show me what your heater core goes to and where the a/c heater line goes too? Would you say its my heater core that leaking because its not connected to the heater valve. Im not entirely sure what was the issue its just what 've been told

Most likely the heater core was leaking which is why it was bypassed. Unfortunately, I don't have this vehicle here, but you can probably get quite a bit of info from the forums or just try a google image search for your engine bay.

How much coolant will I lose when switching this out?

Maybe a quart or so, this one was already empty.
