Also no offense but I think the reason you don't like black tights is because maybe nothing in your wardrobe goes with them because it's all pink, white, and very light hues. Honestly some of the best outfits go with black tights

@Reality Troll of course you can. You can comment, you can add things, you can have a different opinion all the time. What would this world even be if we couldn't say things to each other?

    • @LaidyMary99

@Reality Troll wow. It was literally just a way of saying it and oversimplifying the whole idea (+english isn't even my first language)
But since you knew what i meant already i don't see the point of your comment in the first place. As you say it, she was giving her own opinion. And has all the rights to do so, just cause someone says in a video that it's their opinion, it doesn't mean others can't comment or disagree.

Oh my. I agree on many things but not wearing sneekers sounds just old fashion. You can totally rock the style. Just look at every other women in Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki or Copenhagen.
And black tights... Well, I love them and comming from Finland need to wear them on winter if I want to basically stay healthy when wearing skirt or dress. No kneehigh boots is enough on -10celcius (or more). Perhaps I'm grown to love the look.

I’m with you on a lot of points Freddy, especially not wearing gym clothes out and about...but being anti-sneakers? Come on. That’s very behind the times and just unreasonable for people who ride bicycles, have to do a lot of walking, or who have to stand/walk on the job (food service, retail, teachers, etc). The women in Copenhagen wear sneakers with their bright summer dresses and they look amazing. In LA we wear sneakers everywhere, because we are more casual. Heeled sandals and even ballet flats aren’t practical or comfortable, and may not have arch support that people need to stay comfortable in every day life. There are plenty of sneakers/tennis shoes that are cute and stylish. It just takes creativity to pair the right ones with the right outfit. You should try it out sometime!

I loved this video and I agree with them all except the black tights one. They are my everyday wear and they are the key to my outfit. I rather think it’s very very VERY wrong to wear white tights in winter or autumn. That is not the right time to wear white, use that colour in spring or summer.

I agree except for the "That is not the right time to wear white, use that colour in spring or summer" statement. We don't have to give up our style and favourite colours just because it's a different season. There's nothing I love more in winter than a cosy white jumper 😍 Sure, you'll need to style the colour differently (I don't think white tights would be a good look either) but I don't agree with the whole colours-belong-to-certain-seasons mentality.

honestly I totally agree with her and her tips and am glad someone else thinks so! Sneakers can be for running and athletic stuff but not fashion! And they're trendy because looking lazy and effortless or 'street' is a trend right now so it's not for women who love and aren't afraid of looking polished and put-together!
And that's what I feel her style and videos focus on a polished look, except black tights being a personal preference ( I prefer boots over black tights but I don't exactly hate black tights). But overall I love the feminine look she expresses.

Even though Freddy is not a ginger, with that headband and fringe, she's kinda giving me Daphne Blake from Scooby-Doo vibes. I think it'd be fun if she tried a Daphne-inspired look book. Daphne has that 60s look since the cartoon started then and even though she wears more purple, she wears some pink too.

The only way I can wear skirts and dresses is with over-the-knee boots and thick tights underneath. I can't imagine having my upper thighs and bum out like that. I'd be having a cold non stop.

Congrats on almost a million! Hope you get it! When I came to England I had some tips on what to bring and to wear. NO ATHLETIC SHOES, NO SWEAT PANTS OR SWEAT SHIRTS OR CLOTHING THAT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE IN TH E GYM. NO COLLEGE OR LOGO SHIRTS WITH YOUR UNI ON IT. NO CLOTHING WITH FLAGS ON IT. As an American, lots of these things were a challenge. People like to wear tennis shoes or athletic shoes everywhere because they are good walking shoes. Spandex and athleisure wear is worn here almost everywhere. Now that listening to your No no's, I totally see where you are coming from being English. I painstakingly chose walking shoes and clothing that fit the more fashionable look of Brits. I was worried about bright colors so I took mostly blues and blacks and some white tees with a couple of colored tops. I did end up wearing a cute hat that I bought in Bath at the fashion museum. It kept the sun out of my face. BUT I love black tights although I haven't worn them in years. I do not wear dresses much because my feet have changed and I cannot find dress shoes comfortable enough to wear. I am trying though. Dresses are part of a girl's wardrobe. That last tip was a Coco Chanel tip. Take off one accessory before leaving the house. Good tip.

In nordic countries black (thermal) tights are life savers. I don't say I love them. Especially in March or April and it's still minus five and you have worn black tights since October. It's boring! But when you have winters with -10 or even -20 degrees you can't negotiate if you love or hate them. I try not to wear them with black skirts or dresses. I prefer grey, patterned or colourful skirts (blue, red) and light coloured tops. I try to wear light coloured coats as much as possible (if it's not muddy outside) and I have a pair of grey over the knee boots that I love. So I try to avoid black as much as possible but black tights is a necessity in winter. I sometimes put black leggings on top of them and wear over the knee boots and still feel freezingly cold.

I only wear black tights with black bottoms as I live in Russia and I can’t walk bare legged, I’ll get hyperthermia. But with coloured bottoms? Never. Usually I wear thick black leggings outside as that way they match my shoes and coat, but then I take them off inside only leaving nude tights on which I have to wear for warmth and also because otherwise I’ll get told off by my professors at uni for being inappropriate

Ok here some info on bubbly wool clothes : the bubbling thing of wool clothes is called pilling (Or so it is a specific name for the phenomenon in my native language). There are reasons for it happens and I'll try to sum them up here:
Wool fibers can be divided into two categories:
    -short (below 5 centimeters)
-long (from 5 up to 15 centimeters)
It is important to make this differentiation because, the length of the fiber will determine the thickness of the thread, and therefore, of the fabric at the end. In addition to that, it also determines how much fibers will stay in place in the already mentioned thread used to make the fabric.
The longer the fiber, the thinner the thread and fabric will be. Also the overall look of the fabric will be much neater. This neat look (the absence of a tiny layer of hairs already coming out of the fabric means fibers will stay in place longer in the threads usually).
So if you don't want pilling look for thin wool fabrics where the threading of it is clearly visible. It will eventually happen anyway but in a much more controlled manner.
What if your fabric it's a blend of synthetic and wool? Stick with going for a neat looking fabric and respect suggested temperatures while washing or ironing (you can put something over clothes to prevent heat from burning fibers) that way fibers won't burn and stick out.

"No one would ever know where it was from"
Im from Singapore, and Charles and Keith is VERY recognisable here. My mum once told me, she brought a Charles and Keith bag to the office and her colleague told her to get a better bag. (She definitely could afford to buy high end because everyone in that section was of a certain rank. But the culture was brutally shallow)
