Worked since 3.22. And you don't need the gurney. Just an incapped player. Did weapons testing and used the hospital elevator to send me to get healed after each test. Definitely a handy feature if you need to drop someone off for medical services quick. Nice to see more people noticing it working, though. 😂😂

You even need a group to heal yourself in your own hangar... Fantastic. I guess the Nursa will keep occupying that space.
One important tip when dragging someone: you can turn around while doing it! You don't need to walk backwards all the time. Just grab the body, turn around and walk off. No sprinting though

hangar medical elevator feels like a prop with how easy it is to revive someone with medpens, medguns or vehicle/ship medbeds and how low occurrence the need for it is(outside of rp).. imo they should change the elevator to allow tier 1 injuries..
not really same as doing backspace. When someone sends you to the hospital using that elevator, his gear will be place in the local inventory. This system is mostly used when your rescuer doesn't have any medgun or medpen. I would not do the chore of moving your body to the hospital room. Also you don't need to put the body on the gurney, just place the incap body inside the elevator. Just like in IRL when you send someone to the hospital emergency, the hospital staff do the work to bring the patient inside. Let them do their job and you wait.
When you backspace in an armistice zone, your gear is also always sent to local inventory. Also, you can never use the med gun in armistice. Only the medpen works
>When someone sends you to the hospital using that elevator, his gear will be place in the local inventory. Then it easier to loot the buddy and shoot him. Elevator not needed. He can return and grab items the same way.
I agree that it is too simple just teleporting to the bed. Although I also wouldn't want it to be such a time consuming process like the second option where you drag them all the way to the hospital. I think they need a middle ground. I also think they need to make it so that you can just tractor beam the body onto the bed, and then tractor the bed into the elevator. The whole process needs to be streamlined or hardly anyone will ever use it. You could just backspace once you reach the hangar and get the same result. Unless there is a penalty for backspacing in the future I don't think many will use this. Maybe taking them to the med bay in the hangar should heal them and send them back with their armor on instead of waking up in hospital. Like they got fixed and sent back. That might actually make it worthwhile to save some time.
Well, it's more in link with "Death of a Spaceman" since the point of that is to avoid to die and damaged your Ibrahim's sphere. Backspace will no longer be used when 1.0 will be there (probably still an option but almost never used). But i agree with the fact the player should still have his armor when he wakes up. As for the instant TP to the hospital it's more likely to avoid the case where an incap player dies during the process because his friend doesn't have any medped or tool to rez.
Until CIG put in the "Death of a Spaceman" stuff for where death actually means something, I can't imagine most people would wait this long to get rescued, flown to a landing zone, and then put to a hospital. Most will just give up and respawn....it's unfortunate, but that's just the reality of gameplay currently. Honestly, not sure how they're going to make medical gameplay more meaningful because people who want to be a medic basically have nothing to do because absolutely everyone can heal themselves easily with a medgun, giving medics no job at all
No you should not be able to go with another player to the hospital and heal them. That is what we have medical ships for. In the hospital the employees at the hospital are supposed to heal, not random dudes running in. That would be wildly unimmersive
I'm sorry to tell you this but... You are doing it all wrong, just shoot your test subject in the leg so he gets tier3 wound. Or even tier 1 and let him walk in the elevator and then press the damn button... If you are injured as well try to press the button and run inside the elevator - doing that routing since 3.23... after bunker missions !

This was working even on 3.22. A friend tried it on me.
1:27 I just I wanted to say "his soul is now traveling to Maria Hospital" and here it is )))

I've used the pick up body feature since 3.22. It works great w/ the C8R medbed.

well said

@@eavdmeer i can confirm whenever you die or blow up inside a space station vicinity your gear gets sent to local inventory

Wow I had no idea this worked!
Pretty sure this has been in since 3.18. I could be wrong, but I remember using it a while back.
I think since 3.15 when this medical gameplay was released.
I guess if you backspace, it sends you back to wherever your respawn point is, but if you do it this way, it drops you off at the local hospital?
Your description of taking them to a bed and healing them from a terminal: You can do that in a medical vehicle right?
they work in live too
Why instead of draging body you could also carry a body in your arms like when you put him in a bed ... would be less lag and more immersive
Did it break at some point? Afaik its worked for a while.
it would be much more interesting if you can be send as a hurt person to the hospital from a friend

I've relied on medics on solo missions for sure, but for groups, you're totally right
How about they make it so I can spawn a ship, that would be cool.

7:43 i not understand the whole thing. what is mean you check your other computer. i dont see any other computer what do you even talking about pls ?
He's logged into two accounts at once so he can test medical gameplay on his alt account (running on his other computer)
