My hubby and I, here in the UK, regularly stay in hotels such as Holliday Inn and Premier Inn and B&B and self-catering and as guests of these lovely immaculately cleaned rooms we always do our bit before it's time to leave, just to help the room attendant. Any bags in bins with rubbish we've put in we tie the bags up and put them back in the bin. When having sandwiches etc. in our room we immediately pick up any dropped bits and bin them. We clean the shower/loo/sinks/taps/disabled handrails etc. as best as we can and wipe off condensation from the mirrors. We make the bed and fold the corners and the trays with the kettle and tea sachets and so on we keep that clean and re-fill the kettle and we wash out the mugs, glasses and spoons. We know the attendant has to re-make the bed and clean everything any way but we just try to make things a bit less difficult for them!
