Very good video, thank you. So much clarity and I can’t wait to give it a go. I have been hesitant to buy more digital papers from you because I have struggled with moving around GIMP and have become very frustrated with how to make it work. This will be a video I go back to time and again until it is set hard and fast in my memory. If you do make another video taking it to the next level, that would be excellent.

This is exactly the clarification I have needed: I installed GIMP a couple of months ago, but the tutorials I have found so far weren’t focused on the way I want to use GIMP. I will be practicing each day and look forward to your next tutorial!

Thanks for this video! I just got GIMP and even though i have some experience with photoshop, this is very different in a quite a few ways that i was floundering a bit. This was helpful and i saved it to watch again.
That's great to hear that you found our video helpful with acclimating to GIMP @SunnysEyes . Every program likes to try to differentiate themselves....but not all their changes work in a good way. With a second watch through on our video and you playing a bit (especially with your previous knowledge of PS) you'll be comfortable in no time!

great video for using gimp. do you have o rknow of any that show you how to create the actual kits yourself?
sadly I have a load of kits but they are from serif CAP2 so in .pack format and not usable (I also lost a load in a drive & backup crash) so would be nice eto be able to make my own kits and be great if I can use gimp to do it.

OH ok, it seems no one does and that is kind of the problem LOL
why does my screen look different than yours? I checked and I am on 2.10.32. I tried to show a screen shot, but I guess it doesn't let me. Also when I click on New and try to change it to 8.5 x 11, it jumps to a 9 and the page doesn't come up in the middle space. Not even sure if you can figure out what my problem is.
I am not sure why your screen looks different than mine if you are using the same version?? If you are unable to change the paper size and it is changing for you.....it sounds like you are having some computer issues. I first would suggest shutting down your computer completely and then restarting and making sure that your operating system (Windows, Mac, etc.) is up to date as this can cause these sorts of problems. If after doing this you are still having problems, I would do a quick Google Search to see if someone else has experienced this same issue and see how they fixed it. Good Luck!
