I noticed you have that Kingston inserted in the HDD slot. Isn't the default a Toshiba SSHD SATA Drive? What influenced your decision to change that?

Regarding your question, there are two factors favoring the SSD instead of the HDD. First, the HDD is delicate with movements and can get damaged by the headers of the platters. However, if you keep the laptop in one spot like a PC, then an HDD is good for file backup. The SSD is much faster, and you can use the laptop as intended without worrying about damaging the drive when on the road. Additionally, this is a client's laptop, and they have asked for the upgrade.

Regarding your question, you will need to leave it for charging for 5-6h before powering on is to push the max limit of the battery capacity, and then discharge slowly to prevent battery heating up, this 1st charge and discharge take it as new born baby so it knows it's high and low limits. and it is recommended to do this once every 2 months.
