Not really. Assassin's Creed needed change. Right when Revelations appeared, they started calling it Call Of Duty. Less and less innovations, not much of a story in the means of the Assassin we played as through the Animus, and overall unneeded game. However, this COULD have been very, very well executed, and that was proved with Assassin's Creed IV, which fixed many things AC III did wrong. AC IV also features a new modern-day type of gameplay, which was also a fresh addition. Overall, the game evolved like CoD did back in 2006, when first Modern Warfare was released. Of course, AC 2 will always be the best Assassin's Creed there is, but what they're doing with the franchise is far from bad or ''killing'' the series. Each to their own, I guess, though.
EaglehawkAves that is true but i think they orientid the game towards the side objectives and grapichs instead of the story line especially in ac 4 it's A freakin' good pirate game but ain't no ac :( i miss the mistic,magic,ancient generation stuff atmosthrope that was in ac 2 and brotherhood. in ac 4 there was a simple skull which is a "spyglass" btw oh once you saw juno sooooooooo nope ...that killed the ac for me.
Natcon The writers had this planned. It's how the story goes, I guess. They are just drawing it out for a little too long it seems. I liked AC 4 story, it showed how people can change if they want to, if they know they have to.

an opinion, Altair was the master, dedicated to the only life he's ever known, while ezio, although extremely skilled and bad ass in his own right, was just some kid swept up in the middle of a conflict he originally didn't even want a part in. thats what makes conner and Altair so much more fitting, they have less to say, yet convey so much

The thing that makes Desmond special is that he has high constration of the first civilisation which is because of the fact that he has many different ancestral lines, bear in mind that we all have 2 ancestral lines one from our dads and the other from our moms side plus the directors even said that Ezio and Altair are not related to each other but they are related to Desmond but I have no clue if Connor is related to Altair or Ezio

Connor's character was emotionless, hot headed and naive for most of the game. SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS Towards the end of the game, he suffered many losses like the betrayal of his best friend, his father's death (though Connor literally doesn't give a single fuck about it), his village getting driven out by Washington, the death of Achilles, etc. When you complete all the main missions and homestead missions, Connor is pretty lonely.

And Haytham Kenway is the best ...well "villain". I wish we played more with him. I don't know why but this just pictures Washington, Haytham and in front Connor facing an army.
Here's my thoughts on the Assassins. Altair is the weakest of them all. Although he changed just about everything for the assassins. Ezio, was the strongest of the assassiins, not only did he bring back the brotherhood, he was able to reinvent (with Leonardo) tools for the assassins to use. He could sure as well fight an army. Conor, had the balls to run up to a shit load of red coats and fight them. REMEMBER, he had help from the american militia. He only really killed 8 reds.
I agree....Connor's life was miserable compared to Ezio's.Everyone turned back on him...even his mentor asked him*Spoiler aler* why is him still fighting,his answer"Because no one else will".Ezio had a lot of people's support,but Connor...managed all by itself.In the end of AC3 i almost cried...in Ezio's games i felt sad for him but that's it. .AC3 kept the unique style and Connor is a part of assassins's legacy.He changed the course of history just like Altair and Ezio.
