For those that didn’t catch the whole conversation, Steph basically said if you ask him to choose between anyone and himself he’s always gonna choose himself, but that Magic’s resume is top tier and he’s still adding to his.

I think Steph's legacy will continue to resonate more with the next generation of ballers due to how he persevered through all the doubts. Although he came from an affluent family. He was not highly recruited. Overlooked and doubted coming into the league. Then battled through a few years of injury to finally reach the mountaintop while changing the modern era of basketball. Steph was never meant to be any of this. Yet here he is.
Magic on the other hand was heralded as a basketball genius coming out of highschool and college. He experienced early success and maintained it until the later part of his career. He was expected to be what he was. This is not taking away anything from Magic. He flourished and worked his ass off to achieve those accomplishments. It's just Steph's careers seem much more relatable to the masses.
Same reason why Allen Iverson is so beloved to this day. He's relatable. People see parts of themselves in AI. It's the same way with Steph. Magic on the other hand maybe not so much. At least not for me.
    This is just my opinion.

One thing people never think about is Magic didn't have to come into the league at the bottom. He didn't have to take a 20 win Kings team and bring them up to the top. He came into a winning organization! Winning Culture with HOF teammates in place! Yes he was amazing and did his thing like none other but would he have 5 rings if he had to do what Steph did and uplift and build a dynasty from the bottom? It’s crazy how B Jennings and Steph came in at the same time and people had BJ higher than Steph their first few years in the league (mainly due to Steph injuries and bucks early success) and now Steph is the greatest PG ever and b Jen been out the league for half a decade

He's not the greatest ever. He's 45th in assists and not even top 50 in steals. That's not goat numbers and klay guards the top point guards. We don't get to see him go head to head so we can see who better. You got to show me you better . Let's guard each other and see who better.

Steph is the most skilled player EVER. He improved every aspect of his game more than anyone before him. He was a rail thin bean pole with skinny weak ankles and mediocre speed. 6-2” is being generous. He gained muscle every year. He improved his shot every year. And he got better in the clutch every year. The refs gave Lebron the title in 2016. He got 3 chips without KD.
