No he does have weakness in a hook, you can go watch his old armwrestling matches, most ones he lost were when he got stopped with an elbow join, like ermes did
Thanks brother, admittedly I only really started noticing it after the Ermes match and then doing some introspective analysis on myself. Thanks for supporting man!
Yeah, it’s gonna be interesting to see if Levan has overcome that wrist injury yet. You’re only as strong as your weakest link, so if something in that chain gives up, the whole tower comes crumbling down.
i wouldnt say a heavy role, they originate from the medial epicondyle so they do stabilise the elbow but he didnt injure them all probably and they are relatively small muscles compared to the other muscles that stabilise the joint. Your point stands though, his elbow will not be as concrete in the first match after the injury. Its really Devons best chance
it is bad to hear, but pushkar is not strong enough to fight Levan. you see lot of pushkars strength goes on his exlosivity, but it is not strong enough to win him on toproll, and Levan would just rip him after after pushkars attack. the only thing to fight him is stop him at his overpronated position, slip under his massive hand and floproll levan when he is literally under the table(like we had with Ermes or genadi)
I've talked about this for a long time, Levan is so dominant that people think he has no weaknesses. 95% of the times he lost (at least that I know of), it was because his arm got exposed, via hook or flop press. There are lots of examples: Levan against Ermes (didn't loose but had big problems), Genadi, Krasimir, Ivan Matyushenko are some that come to mind. When I see someone saying that Levan has a stronger arm then prime Denis or Ermes I'm gonna send them this video, it's gonna save me some time.
I think arm strength in terms of pure elbow flexion, Levan is probably still up there, but once the awkward angles of arm wrestling are factored in where joint and connective tissue strength has to be factored in, then he gets taken down some notches.
Thanks raynel, I do spend quite a bit of time editing my videos, so I’m unable to post as much as the other armwrestling RUclips channels, but I’m happy to hear that you enjoyed it!
Levan has a press. He's been pulling since he was 14. Even Devon said he has all the moves it just looks like he pulls one dimensional cuz he is victorious in that lane. All hail King Levan
He did use it once in WAF, but even then he struggled to finish with it. several other times he tried to transition into a press and it was disastrous.
Thanks brother! First got the idea for this video after seeing what happened to Bacho, and then also comparing with my own experiences with such a weakness.
Wow great analysis. That coincides with Ermes' comments that Dave has stronger side pressure than Levan. Of course weakness in Levan is not weakness by any means, just comparitive weakness to his overall monster strength.
Exactly! It's only going to be a problem if Devon can expose it in some way. Otherwise, in the face of overwhelming strength, it isn't gonna matter. If Devon can somehow use his frame to get a stop like Ermes did, then I think he has the technical ability to pull off a win.
Nice video. Agree. Show it to Levan. Live and learn Bad thing is that he has no coach to teach him propper things. Remember that injury ? Which normal coach would allow to risk his health for the RUclips video ?! He defenetly needs to try some new excersises and new teqniques. Especially - as you mentioned - on press.
🙏 brother you are too kind. Thank you for watching and appreciating the effort I put into this video. I’m happy to learnt that it was informative and entertaining for you!
Hey, thanks, Max! Really appreciate you taking the time to write that to me. It truly means a lot to hear that the effort I put into the video has impacted you positively.
@@ArmwrestlingExxplained I believe that it is mostly about getting tendons in the elbow strong enough to withstand the forces that you can already apply. There is no “elbow muscle” so to speak, but many muscle attachments cross over the elbow, so these have to be strengthened.
the dumbell vs barbell curl is not really a good example. due to stabalizers not having to work with the lift in the barbell curl. so its not only pronation that you remove from the lift. also any muscle that you train can lift more than muscles you don't train.
I think this is a case where skill comes into play as an armwrestler. Levan's size and strength is massive, but if his toproll gets stopped, his size works against him by preventing a transition to press. Kinda funny how maxing out on strength and size takes away from your other stats like endurance and skill. Imo this is why Devon is a better armwrestler overall than Levan. This is also what makes Armwrestling so interesting as a sport-the chance that David's skill might be able to defeat the Goliath's strength.
The added size definitely would factor into his reduced mobility, though I'm not sure how much of it is that, and how much of it is just due to his elbow's weakness
@@EastsideArmWrestling I wouldn't say that Levan's elbows are weak in any angle. I think it was a skill issue that made Levan bleed against Ermes. How else could we explain the fact that Devon steamrolled through a much stronger Ermes(by his own admission), but Levan couldn't(towards the end). I don't think Devon could have done it without his press. And a press is exactly what Levan couldn't bring to the table that day.
Why dont people make videos on Devon’s weaknesses? People always talk and label levans weaknesses since they are bias and just want devon to win. What about Devon? To name a few- he has no ermes flop, Levan could hook or toproll devon if he wants to or whatever move and probably still win anyways while all devon has is the kings move- and we dont think levan doesnt know how to beat it already?? Literally that is the ONLY lane devon has is kings move, and the way things are looking rn Levan is just going to murder Devon
Possibly because Devon is seen as weaker overall and fundamentally compared to the other top guys so most of the time it is his particular strengths that are being talked about
I know/understand nothing about armwrestling but my eyes just tell me that prime dennis could possibly give this guy a good challenge!?!?am i wrong or am i right
This is a very good observation. Unfortunately Devon doesn’t have very strong side pressure, which is why he’s always in the defensive position in the beginning. He is more of a defensive endurance strategy wrestler, and then he’ll come back after wearing them out and breaking their wrist, but he’s the best at it! Devon has one the strongest wrists and pronators!
Yeap! One way Devon can expose this is by compromising Levan's wrist, thereby forcing him to have to rely even more heavily on joint/sidepressure strength!
Great video, Mr Greg.. your very insightful in your overall in the technique of arm wrestling, i was a arm wrestler in my younger years. And i was short in height but very strong. Powerlifting was #1 but ine amateurs of arm fighting, i thought I was pretty good. Due to my overall strength. I did have a coach and with lots of knowledge of the sport. I enjoyed the simple movement as i was fairly strong in them. But the elbow wasn't looked at a key point in the progression... Massive pain during that time and lots of ice and Ibuprofen..lol😂
Hey Mr. Todd, thanks for sharing your experience! I hope you're able to come back to armwrestling again, it's a great sport. Haha, hopefully without needing too much painkillers. Balance is key!

"thinking too much about numbers and statistics" he did not really do that, he just observed where Levan could not end the match fast and said that is his weakness based on basic understanding of armwrestling and making a good point. And quoting random athletes in this case with no overlap is uneducated used of there life's work by padding your argument just by saying there name.
i think actually devon has no chance with levan as the strength difference between both athletes is huge and that levan is much powerful than devon that devon can't even stop levan as in their previous match i think that the only one that has a good possibility with levan is ermes gasparini he can stop him and beat him with a flop press as the strength difference between ermes and levan is not as huge as between levan and devon
Yes, you have a very very good point. The only hope is if Devon is CLOSE enough to Levan's strength to get a stop. If it's too far apart, all this doesn't matter.
Nobody can convince me prime Denis doesn’t beat the Levan that almost lost to Ermes. More bicep and drag, more shoulder pressure, more side, thicker hand and at least similar cup/hand to early 2023 Ermes. And that was a fully healthy Levan
@EastsideArmWrestling that's not really whats going on with the majority though. I don't know why you felt called out on that personally. By all means do what you do, but alot of people just want to see him lose just because. I don't know if its because he's the ugly beast from the east, compared to handsome Devon from the west or something like that But it is weird to watch
@@mynameisnobody3931 because I don’t really agree with your statement that people are interested in beating him because don’t like that he’s the strongest. Those are not mutually exclusive things. @@mcfarvo okay bro we will see here in a few weeks. I want Devon to come out on top I really do. Keep in mind that Levan is probably doing the same thing Devon is becoming stronger than ever.
@@JimmyBoosterCrate idk bro I’m sitting here watching some of his recent matches and he is looking pretty damn solid . But that would be some shiit if he does stomp Levan lol
His only weakness against someone like Devon is lack of experience and maybe a lack of skill or knowledge, or intuition as far as technique. But his superior physical prowess more than makes up for any technical holes in his game.
I hope neither of them gets injuries from this. Injuries are so shitty, not just for the athletes, but the viewers don't get to see the top guys for months.
Devon is like a child. Trying to do everything he can to make himself look stronger, but in the end, like Levan said : "You talk to much". 6-0 or 4-3 doesnt matter. He will still lose first 3-4 rounds. So many delusional kids that do not even consider the weight and strenght difference. 180+ kg vs 125. 2x-3x strenght. What are you talking and laughing about? A guy 2-3 times weaker talks about lifting 1 more pound? What is wrong with you? Havent you watched the last match? On that day Devon was stronger than any other armwrestler in the world and was destroyed. He injured his arm. On that day he would have defeated anyone, like he did after. Even if he is 10% stronger then last time, which he maybe is, thats still not enought to survive first rounds against Levan. If he doesnt stop that first rounds -> Levan wont gas out -> 6-0. In reality he has only the first 3 rounds. I really hope to see some stops and maybe even a pin, but there is no way in hell Devon wins.
@Mislytely a lot of what you said is misleading. Overall weight can help but Levan doesn’t use it to his benefit. Devon may be weaker but being lighter he is also much more efficient. His strength per pound is much higher than Levan’s. From the moment the match starts, the clock will be ticking. And every time it ticks, Devon’s chances improve slightly (barring injury). A bunch of restarts. A few fouls. Even if Levan gets the early pins, all Devon needs is the stop. Then it could be over, just like that. Genadi was smarter then Levan. Let us see if Levan comes with a press. I hope for his sake he’ll have more than just his toproll, or it could be a bad day for him if Devon’s arm doesn’t explode.
@@robinhoodwinker8621 Ye, makes some sense, but we have seen this with Ermes, havent we? All you have said Ermes has done and guess what? He lost 4-0(2). They fought for fucking 20+ minutes and Levan gassed only after that. He also was around 190kg wich is like insane. Now he weights less. There is a point in what you are saying, but i still think the first 3-4 rounds are safe for Levan. If you think a stop = win for Devon ))) You can rewatch Ermes match. What i really expect from Devon is 1- Pinnin Levan just once, but pin. 2 - Stopping him around round 4+. That is what he can really do. And that itself would be epic enought you know. To pin Levan is to become an immortal Legend of this sport.
If said it before and I'll say it again, I'm far from a fan of Devon, quite the contrary actually. You can be a fan of someone and criticize them, just like how you can NOT be a fan of someone, but still recognize their merits.

@@EastsideArmWrestling Also Devon with the Vitacell shooting is not the same dude!!!
Why is everyone so obsessed about beating Levan lol. Its like they just dont like he is the strongest or something lol
Why does someone have to not like him to want to learn about him?
@EastsideArmWrestling that's not really whats going on with the majority though. I don't know why you felt called out on that personally. By all means do what you do, but alot of people just want to see him lose just because. I don't know if its because he's the ugly beast from the east, compared to handsome Devon from the west or something like that
But it is weird to watch
@@mynameisnobody3931 because I don’t really agree with your statement that people are interested in beating him because don’t like that he’s the strongest.
Those are not mutually exclusive things. Any top athlete would have many people that like him/her but also those who want to know how to beat him/her. Of course you’d wanna learn how to beat the champ. Why would someone wanna learn how to beat the last place guy?
@EastsideArmWrestling its not something you can disagree with because i see it alot.

Yes! Elbows are super important to start conditioning early on! Not just for strength, but injury prevention too.
ok, not a problem of mine 😂
Pound for pound.... you flash Levan 6-0

History does not repeat, but it often rhymes
@@mcfarvo okay bro we will see here in a few weeks. I want Devon to come out on top I really do. Keep in mind that Levan is probably doing the same thing Devon is becoming stronger than ever.
@@johnhenshaw318 Same, I love Devon but this is real life and not a movie. Levan is too big and too strong. He'll win and that's it.
@@JimmyBoosterCrate idk bro I’m sitting here watching some of his recent matches and he is looking pretty damn solid . But that would be some shiit if he does stomp Levan lol
I'll be surprised if it goes exactly like it did last time
His only weakness against someone like Devon is lack of experience and maybe a lack of skill or knowledge, or intuition as far as technique. But his superior physical prowess more than makes up for any technical holes in his game.
If they are too far apart in strength, then you are right, the power will negate all weaknesses
I fear that Devon will hurt his bicep badly
I hope neither of them gets injuries from this. Injuries are so shitty, not just for the athletes, but the viewers don't get to see the top guys for months.
Devon fanboy here. You didn't mention he injured himself against Levan, so I hade to give you a thumbs down. Sorry
Y , all know Devon got injured!
@@Anonymous_hugo He didnt include that in his analysis of Devon vs Levan. So it was an incomplete analysis
@@pumppump5428 oh, ok.
It's okay bud you formed a coherent sentance at least, it's a bug step up
so what?
Devon won't lose a round.
no limits
@@aceuni-rider6921 delusional.
What i really expect from Devon is
1- Pinnin Levan just once, but pin.
2 - Stopping him around round 4+.
That is what he can really do. And that itself would be epic enought you know. To pin Levan is to become an immortal Legend of this sport.
Blablablablabla
Another delusional fanboy😂
The ones who believes that Devon can stop Levan live in a dream World!
If said it before and I'll say it again, I'm far from a fan of Devon, quite the contrary actually.
You can be a fan of someone and criticize them, just like how you can NOT be a fan of someone, but still recognize their merits.
When you said "but" showing SpongeBob's ass I laughed hard 😂
Haha, glad you liked it Kyle!
😅 all this technical stuff can get a little dull, and I don’t really like to take things too seriously. Some humor is always welcome!
