    You also have to remember elbow stability is heavily affected by your forearm muscles. That tear will play a heavy role if what you're saying is true.

    • @EastsideArmWrestling
      @EastsideArmWrestling  9 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, it’s gonna be interesting to see if Levan has overcome that wrist injury yet. You’re only as strong as your weakest link, so if something in that chain gives up, the whole tower comes crumbling down.

    • @ffcrazy
      @ffcrazy 9 месяцев назад +1

      i wouldnt say a heavy role, they originate from the medial epicondyle so they do stabilise the elbow but he didnt injure them all probably and they are relatively small muscles compared to the other muscles that stabilise the joint. Your point stands though, his elbow will not be as concrete in the first match after the injury. Its really Devons best chance

      it is bad to hear, but pushkar is not strong enough to fight Levan. you see lot of pushkars strength goes on his exlosivity, but it is not strong enough to win him on toproll, and Levan would just rip him after after pushkars attack. the only thing to fight him is stop him at his overpronated position,slip under his massive hand and floproll levan when he is literally under the table(like we had with Ermes or genadi)

    I've talked about this for a long time, Levan is so dominant that people think he has no weaknesses. 95% of the times he lost (at least that I know of), it was because his arm got exposed, via hook or flop press. There are lots of examples: Levan against Ermes (didn't loose but had big problems), Genadi, Krasimir, Ivan Matyushenko are some that come to mind.
    When I see someone saying that Levan has a stronger arm then prime Denis or Ermes I'm gonna send them this video, it's gonna save me some time.

      I think arm strength in terms of pure elbow flexion, Levan is probably still up there, but once the awkward angles of arm wrestling are factored in where joint and connective tissue strength has to be factored in, then he gets taken down some notches.

    • @EastsideArmWrestling
      @EastsideArmWrestling  9 месяцев назад

      Exactly! It's only going to be a problem if Devon can expose it in some way. Otherwise, in the face of overwhelming strength, it isn't gonna matter. If Devon can somehow use his frame to get a stop like Ermes did, then I think he has the technical ability to pull off a win.

    the dumbell vs barbell curl is not really a good example. due to stabalizers not having to work with the lift in the barbell curl. so its not only pronation that you remove from the lift. also any muscle that you train can lift more than muscles you don't train.

    I think this is a case where skill comes into play as an armwrestler. Levan's size and strength is massive, but if his toproll gets stopped, his size works against him by preventing a transition to press. Kinda funny how maxing out on strength and size takes away from your other stats like endurance and skill. Imo this is why Devon is a better armwrestler overall than Levan. This is also what makes Armwrestling so interesting as a sport-the chance that David's skill might be able to defeat the Goliath's strength.

    • @EastsideArmWrestling
      @EastsideArmWrestling  9 месяцев назад +1

      The added size definitely would factor into his reduced mobility, though I'm not sure how much of it is that, and how much of it is just due to his elbow's weakness

    • @akshayparameswaran1277
      @akshayparameswaran1277 9 месяцев назад +1

      @@EastsideArmWrestling I wouldn't say that Levan's elbows are weak in any angle. I think it was a skill issue that made Levan bleed against Ermes. How else could we explain the fact that Devon steamrolled through a much stronger Ermes(by his own admission), but Levan couldn't(towards the end). I don't think Devon could have done it without his press. And a press is exactly what Levan couldn't bring to the table that day.

  • @dw3596
    @dw3596 9 месяцев назад +1

    Why dont people make videos on Devon’s weaknesses? People always talk and label levans weaknesses since they are bias and just want devon to win. What about Devon? To name a few- he has no ermes flop, Levan could hook or toproll devon if he wants to or whatever move and probably still win anyways while all devon has is the kings move- and we dont think levan doesnt know how to beat it already?? Literally that is the ONLY lane devon has is kings move, and the way things are looking rn Levan is just going to murder Devon

    Devon is like a child. Trying to do everything he can to make himself look stronger, but in the end, like Levan said : "You talk to much". 6-0 or 4-3 doesnt matter. He will still lose first 3-4 rounds. So many delusional kids that do not even consider the weight and strenght difference. 180+ kg vs 125. 2x-3x strenght. What are you talking and laughing about? A guy 2-3 times weaker talks about lifting 1 more pound? What is wrong with you? Havent you watched the last match? On that day Devon was stronger than any other armwrestler in the world and was destroyed. He injured his arm. On that day he would have defeated anyone, like he did after. Even if he is 10% stronger then last time, which he maybe is, thats still not enought to survive first rounds against Levan. If he doesnt stop that first rounds -> Levan wont gas out -> 6-0. In reality he has only the first 3 rounds. I really hope to see some stops and maybe even a pin, but there is no way in hell Devon wins.

      @Mislytely a lot of what you said is misleading. Overall weight can help but Levan doesn’t use it to his benefit. Devon may be weaker but being lighter he is also much more efficient. His strength per pound is much higher than Levan’s. From the moment the match starts, the clock will be ticking. And every time it ticks, Devon’s chances improve slightly (barring injury). A bunch of restarts. A few fouls. Even if Levan gets the early pins, all Devon needs is the stop. Then it could be over, just like that. Genadi was smarter then Levan. Let us see if Levan comes with a press. I hope for his sake he’ll have more than just his toproll, or it could be a bad day for him if Devon’s arm doesn’t explode.

    • @Mislytely
      @Mislytely 9 месяцев назад

      @@robinhoodwinker8621 Ye, makes some sense, but we have seen this with Ermes, havent we? All you have said Ermes has done and guess what? He lost 4-0(2). They fought for fucking 20+ minutes and Levan gassed only after that. He also was around 190kg wich is like insane. Now he weights less. There is a point in what you are saying, but i still think the first 3-4 rounds are safe for Levan. If you think a stop = win for Devon ))) You can rewatch Ermes match. What i really expect from Devon is
      1- Pinnin Levan just once, but pin.
      2 - Stopping him around round 4+.
      That is what he can really do. And that itself would be epic enought you know. To pin Levan is to become an immortal Legend of this sport.
