Hey, AWESOME video. I love watching drifting, but that's not why I'm so excited about the video (still nice drifting though). What I really liked was the filming/editing. I'm making small video's myself and enjoy it, but seeing professional stuff like this is amazing, like at 0:45, that was so epic! Later
I'm glad to see some great footage from Phillippines. I'm planning a trip there next year to visit some family and I would love to stumble upon a drift event!
It's a Nissan A31 cefiro. Been chopped and made to look like an R33 skyline. Having the chopped back makes drifting a lot easier as the back is so light
if you got down force while drifting, it makes it allot more stable, it just doesn’t fly away on you, it still punches the car against the ground while sliding.
What happened.....as soon as I left the islands, all these rich Filipino folks with their beamers/gtr/benz/corvette/s15's started appearing. Along with the drifting culture. Makes me want to go back and make my own project car lol. Good stuff Stru :)
@carsornothing That's not necessarily true. The more horsepower a car has the more traction it needs even if its drifting. Hence why professional drivers use grippy tires and as drift cars are pushed faster, aerodynamic tuning becomes more important as well. Rear spoilers and wings usually are useful only in large, open tracks where the cars develop enough speed to create a need for more downforce.
Had to go back and pause at 4:03... That girl is damn cute! She's even cuter since she's apparently into cars, and cameras :D Oh, and great vid too! Nice selection of cars (GT3.2 RS?!), and lots of skill in both the camerawork and the drifting!
@Stru1 I also hear a supra or a chaser engine maybe 1jzgte or 2jzgte on that Rockstar GTR! great video... I like the angle shots and editing! thumbs up!
@carsornothing When you go sideways the spoiler doesnt force down the car (because the air comes from different angle)-no traction. But when you wanna accelerate or stop driftning it helps alot...:)
@Stru1 Is drifting all year long? Here in Edmonton, AB, Canada we get shut down from Oct-Apr. I'm trying to make it down there for the Christmas/NYE break. So stoked.

@estudio7tv Hey man thanks heaps. The transition is done using a 'film burn'. It's basically a video clip which you lay on top of your footage. search for it in youtube. there's a download and a tutorial
Japan and European countries are at a huge advantage over America with easy access to drift cars.I've lived in America, Japan,Germany, and Italy. In those 3 countries excluding America I have found used supercars like Nissan Skyline R33 R34,Toyota Supra,Nissan Silvia S14 S15,Rx7,305z Fairlady for prices between $4500-$1200. In America I saw people selling cars like Supras,Impreza WRX,350z,240sx for at least $8000 plus.So the value of the dollar in America is horrible compared to others.
its an R33 skyline (GTR?) that's had the back chopped off. Look at the front end and the tail lights. People do that a lot to S13's too, always seems to be drifters, maybe something about weight balance?
@pyrro111 if your talking about the black one with the crazy camber I'm pretty sure it's like a S13 with some R33 tail lights and they just cut the top off
They're quite excellent get one! 4 doors are good to less pressure from the cops. More space in the back, good for a small family and people wonder what they are.

@IsuckGetOverIt well i'd say 240sx, naturally, because it's basically a beginner's drift car. But I'd suggest something underpowered so you can get a feel for drifting and work your way up. Small Trucks are pretty easy to play around.

@VinceAlmen It's actually a nissan Cefiro that got chopped into a pick up, then after a while we decided to convert it into an R33 skyline

It's actually a cefiro. It was converted into a ute, then into an R33
base car was an '89 cefiro, then converted to UTE, then made it look like an R33
