The addition of Markkanen could mean the Spurs win the title in the upcoming season. CP3 would average 20 assists a game, plus there would be lots of transition baskets with the opposing teams feeling stifled.

Lauri Markk is off the table until jerk Danny Ainge gets real about trade value. Spurs are not going to give away their future plans and overpay for him. SA would do better to get Walter Kessler. Spurs could have TWO lottery picks in 2025. Their own and the Hawks. If I were LM, I would not extend and get the hell out of Mormon country.

The Spurs will have to give up too much to get Lauri. Let the Jazz retain him, and build through the 2025 draft. Before then they could land an impactful player in the 2025 mid-season.
I like Lauri's game. I don't like the idea of the Spurs giving the Jazz key players and so much draft capital for him.
If we trade Keldon and several first round picks it could do since Keldon. Keldon is loved at Spurs, but also they know his value and what they could benefit from especially when the player doesnt fit our play style.
@DrMouette The Spurs 2025 draft picks from Atlanta should be a no-go. Give the Jazz Keldon, their Charlotte first-round pick that likely will convey to the Spurs, maybe the Chicago first-round pick that likely won't convey to the Spurs, and some of the multiple second-round picks they have. Keep the 2025 first-round picks they got from Atlanta.
Charlotte will likely be a winning team. Chicago likely will not.
The 2025 draft will be talent-rich. Unless the Spurs are taking a win-now and dynasty-be-damned approach, going all-in with a trade for Lauri makes no sense. If they go all-in they will have no draft capital and flexibility for later acquisitions.
If the Jazz want Devin Vassell, Jeremy Sochan and the Spurs' 2025 draft picks from Atlanta, the trade won't work. As much as the Spurs, I and other Spurs fans want Lauri on the team, I realize we can't always have everything we want.
A pairing of Victor Wembanyama and Lauri Markkanen is a dream pairing that may have to remain one. As a wise man named "Mick Jagger" has sung, you can't always get what you want, but if you look real hard you just might find you get what you need.
@@darrenstansbury4433 yeah I kind of agree, but we build our picks for that type of trades also, we have many first round picks next year and until 2031. Its not as if we are in dangerous making tremendous or weird choices by giving some first round pick do we ? I am sure the Spurs will make a trade that suits our needs, but as for now Warriors are mode in demand of Lauri than the Spurs, allmost at any cost. Us not so much.

I played a lot of MyLeague with draft selection to rebuild all league and I always selected both of them to my team. So cool to play with them. 😂
