I think people are a little too arrogant regarding Dumbledore and Grindelwald’s relationship: They were close and in no shape or form was Dumbledore ever mentioned to have had a relationship with anybody else other then Grindelwald. What’s so bad about Dumbledore being gay? Because J.K Rowling could’ve ‘Said so earlier in the books’? You should take into account that J.K Rowling wrote this during the late 90’s when LGBTQ wasn’t greatly accepted. She was writing a children’s book in the late 90’s and it’s no mistake that parents would have rattled J.K Rowling along some major controversy if she were too explicitly reveal Dumbledore’s sexuality. She hinted his sexuality in the seventh book, and she confirmed it days after the seventh book’s publication - yet that’s still difficult for people to understand. Pretty pathetic in my opinion and as much as you may think you’re not being homophobic, YOU ARE being homophobic. I’m gay myself and I’m happy that Dumbledore’s gay, it offends me when a bunch of Potterheads say a lot of homophobic comments about the character but hide it behind their sceptical ‘facts’ they clearly don’t know.

When you’re gay you’re sexually attracted to men, not woman - just a heads up seeming you did ignorantly mentioned that ‘Dumbledore had a crush to a woman when he was younger’ which I don’t recall JK Rowling saying or writing in all of the books history. In regards to Dumbledore and Grindelwald themselves, I don’t think they were romantically together in any shape or form. It seems that it was only one-sided thing on Dumbledore’s part; that Dumbledore loved Grindelwald and had deep feelings for him. And don’t even bother asking for proof of Dumbledore’s sexuality on JK Rowling’s terms; watch ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ and ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ which is a prequel to the Harry Potter series, taking form thousands and thousands of years before Harry Potter was born and following the story of Newt Scammander and young Dumbledore. There’s some canon proof in The Crimes of Grindelwald where young Dumbledore tells the Head of Magical Law Enforcement that he and Grindelwald were ‘CLOSER THEN BROTHERS’ if that doesn’t get you thinking that I don’t know what will. There’s also this other scene where Dumbledore looks into the Mirror of Erised and sees himself and Grindelwald as younger teenagers clasping hands together to form a blood pact - and please don’t even tell me that they were doing that as ‘fRieNds’ because there was some sexual tension in that scene when they literally sighed and closed their eyes. Just amazing! I am just remembering how I hated reading in elementary! lol then after my year in fifth grade was over the librarian gave me Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to read over the summer. Of course I had no plan on reading anything at all! So one day I was sitting in my room, bored! Nothing to do during the summer. I saw the book and glanced at the first page. I thought to myself, "hmm...I'll just read the first page." So I began reading the fist page, then the second page and could no longer put it down. That was the first time that I realized that "hey, reading is not so bad, not boring at all" From there I began reading other books not just Harry Potter. Now I am 27 years old and I absolutely LOVE to read. I am now a teacher and I read to my students every day because I know that one day they too will fall in love with a book and discover that they LOVE to read. :D
I started reading because of Harry Potter too! I only read from time to time as a child... I got the book on my 10th birthday and I didn't even know I was going to read them, because for a 10 year old HP is quite long! but I tried and I fell in love with it and ever since I am a compulsive reader :)
The beautiful thing is I can be a 54year old man who either reads or watches Harry Potter daily and is not embarrassed in the slightest!! The innocence of it keeps me happy and with hope for living. Hello to my fellow addicts 🙂
2 things made me cry uncontrollably: 1.) Her revisiting the old flat she finished Philosopher's Stone in, and particularly when she saw the new tenants having Harry Potter books and talking about her entire life changed in that flat. 2.) "Keeping my mother longer on the line the last time I phoned her" as her biggest regret.
I read DH in one day, and every 30 minutes or so I had to jump up off the couch and run around the house to relieve some my excitement, then get back to reading. I wasn't allowed to spoil anything since my mum wanted to read it as well. It may sound sad, but it was one of the best days of my life so far. Harry Potter has been living in my head for 17 years now and means so much to me. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for her.
I really love the quick answers she gave in the beginning, her gut responses to questions about her major values. You can really see all of them represented in the Harry Potter books.

i love how the way she talks about the characters, it's like they already exist and she's just peeking into their lives rather than looking at them as her creations. It's an interesting perspective and i think it shows in the completeness Harry's world has in the novels.
Every writer develops a strong bond with their characters. Every writer will tell you that their characters are like a second family to them. They see these characters as if they were real. This is true wheter you are writing a book, a movie, a comic book, an animated series or a video game.

I remember how much I loved them back then, because of the adventure, excitment etc. But now, with an older head, these books are truly amazing! Her reaction when she went back to visit her old flat where she wrote Philosopher's Stone really hit me hard. I can imagine how hard that time in her life must have been, and how much of a risk it was for her to take that year off to write. I bet she was wishing she could have gone back and told that struggling, desperate, unhappy JKR of the past to hang in there and keep persevering, because things were going to turn around so unbelievably for her. I'm so grateful that JKR, even without that knowledge, did find the courage and strength to persevere through the hardest time in her life and wrote those books.

I'll admit, I almost teared up watching this, which sounds absolutely ridiculous. But Jo Rowling is such a real person, and I have so much respect and admiration for her, and I truly think she worked magic with Harry Potter - it's amazing how, upon rereading the books, the older you get, the more you see of what she was trying to get across.
Lavi's world I'm currently rereading the Deathly Hallows and I'm more blown away than I was when I first read it! If you really think about it, it's such a terrifying book!
I've come to admire J.K Rowling not because she is a great writer and not because of her creativity, but because of her belief in herself and her determination. Prior being published she'd been writing Harry Potter for 7 years! and who was to say they would ever make her a penny? I've come to learn that those who are driven by passion and not a desire for success or fame, then success eventaully catches them off-guard.
What made jk Rowling successful wasn't just her creative imagination, but her organizational skills that let put her characters in the world where they belong.
Rowling made my childhood so magical, so extremely. People who have not read this story think it's just a book. But for me it was an amazing journey. I grew up with Harry Potter - with books, with films, games, plays with my friends with chopsticks as wands :) It was wonderful time for me. Now, when I'm sad or lost in my life, I always go back to Harry Potter and his world. Thank You J.K. Rowling. I'm really grateful, words are not enough :')
A truly remarkable woman and I can't think of a single person I'd rather be filthy rich than her. She's had it rough, dealt with depression and will value her success more than most might. She brought a lot of magic into the world and that alone is priceless. I hope she'll be able to concentrate on writing what she wants to write in the future. Of course everything she writes will always be compared to Harry Potter but she's in a unique position to just write what she wants without having to worry about finances. It's impossible to tell how many children that learned to read or learned to love reading just because of her books. So many gifts to the world. Even though you can't put a price on all that it's nice to know that she can live comfortably from now on.

Holy crap snacks! Really? I started reading the books for the first time yesterday since I have flu and was bored having just finished my second read through of A song of Ice and Fire. I sat there thinking... "Well I was 14 when the first book came out and was really into Tolkien and had little interest in Potter then, so why not give it a go now" As a grown ass man I must confess I'm enjoying it a little too much. I'm thinking about saving the rest of the books for next Christmas since they have a strong festive vibe about them.
I miss the times when the books and DVD’s came out and all that surrounded my mind was going to the shops and buying them and how much adrenaline would indulge my soul when I would see the newest DVD/Book in the shops. It was an amazing feeling and I truly miss those moments! Especially since as a young child my parents didn’t have enough money to take me to the cinemas

a very rainy day in early 2006 right after my sixth birthday. I was ill and asked my dad to read me, because his voice was very comforting. He walked me to the big book self in my sisters room and told me to pick whichever book caught my eye. Then i saw harry potter, and asked him to read me that book. I think he read almost the entire book in one sitting. it was just too exciting. I'm been hooked. Love you, Jo, because you've probably changed my life in more ways than i can count.

I think the way she knows her characters so well is amazing. Not only her main character, not even her secondary characters, everyone. She's such a great author in that way.
She has been an inspiration through my life, and keep on being it. I can't find any words to thank her for all the things she had taught me, and all the fun I have had through the years, thanks to her imagination and courage.
J.K. Rowling is my hero. Knowing that she was once a normal person just like all of us and that only talent got her to be well-known makes me look up to her even more, because not everybody can do that. Her writing is something special. I fell in love with the Harry Potter books a long while ago and they've been my life ever since. I've learned countless lessons from every book, and I will, without a doubt, pass those books to my own children.
I miss this feeling of getting excited waiting for your favourite book to be released and even lining up outside the shop after midnight waiting for the countdown when you'll finally have it in your hands. I haven't had this feeling since Harry Potter and I doubt I ever will again sadly.
I feel she is such a genuine lady. Such charisma, knowledge and thoughtfulness. I didn't realise before but she really has such a graceful way of putting into words her feelings, reflections, thoughts and so forth. In a way so few people can. This talent undoubtedly made her an author of refined craftsmanship. Her words show such a depth of character. In my experience I can relate to her, i grew up in a poor neighborhood but my mother was from a wealthy family. Still we had a council house as my father was from a poor family and otherwise, he was the breadwinner as they say, and my mother a house wife. He passed away when I was only 11, for years I sort of just had to deal with all sorts of difficulties and trauma from bullying and abuse. As a grown man, I can look at those times and see that though they did have a huge impact on me, they never defined me. When I reached the age of adulthood, that is when I was able to start to chip away at everything that was not me. I was surprised that the more I chipped away, the more I felt that this person that I am is so much more simple and imperfect than I realised. Laying bare ourselves in such an open way, is such a rare and noble thing we can do. Speaking from this point of view and accepting I don't have all the answers, is incredibly refreshing and also quite frightening. We all like to think we have a handle on life, and it's within our control. But, on accepting that such views are folly really brings home the transient nature of things.
I haven't seen any comments that have been posted recently, but even with all the drama, I still love her, her books are her story. Such a inspiration.
She gave one of the most beautiful gifts to a generation, and beyond, of children that you could ever give.....the gift of reading. She deserves every success, and the fortune that goes with it, that comes her way. She earned every bit of it. Loved this biopic, especially when she went back to the flat she started in. A genuine beautiful, gracious and talented soul.

The best way I can describe it is in these terms....imagine you are viewing your life in a HD screen and then someone starts to slowly reduce the colour levels. The sky starts to look less blue and grass less green. It is, looking back 11 years, almost surreal to me
"A woman who did the best she could with the talent she had." So humble and honest, and yet what she will be remembered as is a woman who touched millions of lives with her words. Her stories are full of so many lessons and symbols and meanings, you'd have to fully reread each book so many times to pick up on all of them. I've reread the series eight times in its entirety, not to mention while they were still being published, and I've found things I never noticed each time without fail.
Her voice, her way of speaking, her tone, her thinking, her philosophy, her mind...everything on this woman is so inspiring! I love her for so many reasons but especially because she gave me the best childhood memories!
Huge respect to JK, for the unsung charity work she does. Donating huge ammounts of money from her personal fortune. She doesn't have to but she does work tirelessly for others.
I truly admire this woman from the bottom of my heart. There is absolutely NO doubt of her incredible talent as a writer and story-teller; and I don't think I'll fall more in love with a man than with the Harry Potter Series.
One of my favorite fantasy authors signed a book for me and wrote "keep the magic". That is definitely something we can all do with HP, and hopefully more beautiful series of fantasy in the years to come

I had lived in Edinburgh for 8 years and even gone to the same places as Jo: Balmoral hotel, Caledonial hotel, Leith, Favorita etc. I used to wait for my date in front of the Balmoral hotel and watch people get into black taxis... I wonder how many times I could have almost bumped into her but probably never did. Funny. I think she is very likeable and relatable because she seems so real. She's been through some bad times and good times, like the rest of us, but unlike celebrities, she doesn't detach herself from the past so much. For most celebrities, you only remember the fame and nothing else, nothing to relate to really. To connect with somebody you have to be able to be somewhat vulnerable. She does that. She's inspirational and seems so down-to-earth at the same time, a great combination.
J.K. Rowling is one of the most honest, reflective humans around. This writer's gift has given millions, joy, knowledge, and wealth of the power of the language and imagination.
One of the things that I am most thankful for is J. K. Rowling creating these characters and writing these books. Who knew that the boy who lived and his friends would have such a huge impact on my life.

I must have cried 3 times during that documentary. On the sad parts yes, but also when they features the midnight premiere of Deathly Hallows and all the excited young readers getting the book after a long wait. I dont know why but it just moves me every time! (I watched this video multiple times, feeling nostalgic)

I agree in the sense that I wouldn't want another book about Harry, but I think a small novella about Harrys parents or the marauders and what they got up to at high school might be quite interesting to read
Having been fortunate enough to get tickets for Cursed Child, i can say that it was amazing! I finally feel like i have proper closure knowing what happened to the children/ the families all those years later. The script book coming out is a great idea, but people need to remember that a script book is very different to a normal book! I really hope everyone should get the chance to see the cursed child, because although i was happy with the ending of the books and was content, i feel that it really gives the final bit of closure that we all needed without even realising we needed it!

I also think another HP book is not good, BUT another book, or series of books in the world of Harry Potter, with totally new characters, then I say a big YES ! and maybe at a time before HP ( maybe around 1945 when albus met Grindenwald ), or like others say: a kind of prequel when his parents where children, or nowadays coz after all, The 7 books of HP happen between 1991-1998, why not about right now, (well I guess right now will be depicted in the Cursed Child, but it's just a play).

The library where I work at currently has a HP exhibit for the month, and I've got this documentary playing on a loop. So many people have walked through, stopped, and sat down to watch the whole thing. Adults in particular, who'd otherwise have kept on walking because they think HP is "just a kids book".
The story of JK Rowling's life and everything she's been through is almost as magical as the Harry Potter books themselves. I may be taking issue with how she's handling all the recent stuff that's attached to the Harry Potter universe, but the love, devotion, thought, care and heart that went into those books was amazing. How it came about, from her getting the idea while riding a train and having to spend 4+ hours just thinking about it all becuase she didn't have anything to write with, to living in squalor on benefits while writing chapters in the cafe. It's all just amazing. The parallels between her own life story and Harry's is uncanny and beautiful. It's almost as though it was destiny for her to bring this world to us. And I will forever love and respect her for what she gave us. Even if she's on the verge of destroying her canon with these Fantastic Beasts movies and the ABOMINATION called The Cursed Child that should never have even existed. I love her. And I love her world more than anything. It means more to me than anyone can ever know. Her getting emotional at the end when she visited the apartment she wrote the first book in. That killed me. Inspiration is a word which doesn't even come close when I look at her, admire doesn't suffice when I think about her. Gratitude wouldn't even bring out how it feels to have lived while she walked the earth too. Harry Potter is a lifetime, innumerable lifetimes. Always.
Ive never read or watch a Harry potter book or film. After watching this I think I want to now. I've found myself so into this documentary, she tells a story really well.
So much respect for JK Rowling, so touched by her story and her genuine tears, so inspired by her ability and will to fight, to live, to love. Thank you, JK Rowling, for giving me the childhood you so desperately wished for.
I remember seeing this years and years ago and when she walks into her old bedroom and sees the Harry Potter books on the shelf, the ones that she wrote in her darkest times, that brought her out of her misery and into an amazing life, bought by a total stranger, it completely broke me. Say what you want about her but she created this world for us. I know for a fact that I would be so very different without Harry Potter. So so different. And I think a lot of us would.

What’s so bad about Dumbledore being gay? Because J.K Rowling could’ve ‘Said so earlier in the books’? You should take into account that J.K Rowling wrote this during the late 90’s when LGBTQ wasn’t greatly accepted. She was writing a children’s book in the late 90’s and it’s no mistake that parents would have rattled J.K Rowling along some major controversy if she were too explicitly reveal Dumbledore’s sexuality. She hinted his sexuality in the seventh book, and she confirmed it days after the seventh book’s publication - yet that’s still difficult for people to understand. Pretty pathetic in my opinion and as much as you may think you’re not being homophobic, YOU ARE being homophobic. I’m gay myself and I’m happy that Dumbledore’s gay, it offends me when a bunch of Potterheads say a lot of homophobic comments about the character but hide it behind their sceptical ‘facts’ they clearly don’t know.

You’ve got it all wrong. Seems to me you need some more education on what it means to be gay. When you’re gay you’re sexually attracted to men, not woman - just a heads up seeming you did ignorantly mentioned that ‘Dumbledore had a crush to a woman when he was younger’ which I don’t recall JK Rowling saying or writing in all of the books history. In regards to Dumbledore and Grindelwald themselves, I don’t think they were romantically together in any shape or form. It seems that it was only one-sided thing on Dumbledore’s part; that Dumbledore loved Grindelwald and had deep feelings for him. And don’t even bother asking for proof of Dumbledore’s sexuality on JK Rowling’s terms; watch ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’ and ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald’ which is a prequel to the Harry Potter series, taking form thousands and thousands of years before Harry Potter was born and following the story of Newt Scammander and young Dumbledore. There’s some canon proof in The Crimes of Grindelwald where young Dumbledore tells the Head of Magical Law Enforcement that he and Grindelwald were ‘CLOSER THEN BROTHERS’ if that doesn’t get you thinking that I don’t know what will. There’s also this other scene where Dumbledore looks into the Mirror of Erised and sees himself and Grindelwald as younger teenagers clasping hands together to form a blood pact - and please don’t even tell me that they were doing that as ‘fRieNds’ because there was some sexual tension in that scene when they literally sighed and closed their eyes. Alright I’m done arguing lmao
Just amazing! I am just remembering how I hated reading in elementary! lol then after my year in fifth grade was over the librarian gave me Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone to read over the summer. Of course I had no plan on reading anything at all! So one day I was sitting in my room, bored! Nothing to do during the summer. I saw the book and glanced at the first page. I thought to myself, "hmm...I'll just read the first page." So I began reading the fist page, then the second page and could no longer put it down. That was the first time that I realized that "hey, reading is not so bad, not boring at all" From there I began reading other books not just Harry Potter. Now I am 27 years old and I absolutely LOVE to read. I am now a teacher and I read to my students every day because I know that one day they too will fall in love with a book and discover that they LOVE to read. :D

2 things made me cry uncontrollably:
1.) Her revisiting the old flat she finished Philosopher's Stone in, and particularly when she saw the new tenants having Harry Potter books and talking about her entire life changed in that flat.
2.) "Keeping my mother longer on the line the last time I phoned her" as her biggest regret.
I know,longer on the phone. Heart wrenching. I should have done that with so many loved ones and friends.
I read DH in one day, and every 30 minutes or so I had to jump up off the couch and run around the house to relieve some my excitement, then get back to reading. I wasn't allowed to spoil anything since my mum wanted to read it as well. It may sound sad, but it was one of the best days of my life so far. Harry Potter has been living in my head for 17 years now and means so much to me. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like for her.

i love how the way she talks about the characters, it's like they already exist and she's just peeking into their lives rather than looking at them as her creations. It's an interesting perspective and i think it shows in the completeness Harry's world has in the novels.
Every writer develops a strong bond with their characters. Every writer will tell you that their characters are like a second family to them. They see these characters as if they were real. This is true wheter you are writing a book, a movie, a comic book, an animated series or a video game.

Her reaction when she went back to visit her old flat where she wrote Philosopher's Stone really hit me hard. I can imagine how hard that time in her life must have been, and how much of a risk it was for her to take that year off to write. I bet she was wishing she could have gone back and told that struggling, desperate, unhappy JKR of the past to hang in there and keep persevering, because things were going to turn around so unbelievably for her. I'm so grateful that JKR, even without that knowledge, did find the courage and strength to persevere through the hardest time in her life and wrote those books.

I'll admit, I almost teared up watching this, which sounds absolutely ridiculous. But Jo Rowling is such a real person, and I have so much respect and admiration for her, and I truly think she worked magic with Harry Potter - it's amazing how, upon rereading the books, the older you get, the more you see of what she was trying to get across.

I've come to admire J.K Rowling not because she is a great writer and not because of her creativity, but because of her belief in herself and her determination. A truly remarkable woman and I can't think of a single person I'd rather be filthy rich than her. She's had it rough, dealt with depression and will value her success more than most might. She brought a lot of magic into the world and that alone is priceless. I hope she'll be able to concentrate on writing what she wants to write in the future. Of course everything she writes will always be compared to Harry Potter but she's in a unique position to just write what she wants without having to worry about finances. It's impossible to tell how many children that learned to read or learned to love reading just because of her books. So many gifts to the world. Even though you can't put a price on all that it's nice to know that she can live comfortably from now on.

Holy crap snacks! Really? I started reading the books for the first time yesterday since I have flu and was bored having just finished my second read through of A song of Ice and Fire. I sat there thinking... "Well I was 14 when the first book came out and was really into Tolkien and had little interest in Potter then, so why not give it a go now" As a grown ass man I must confess I'm enjoying it a little too much. I'm thinking about saving the rest of the books for next Christmas since they have a strong festive vibe about them.

a very rainy day in early 2006 right after my sixth birthday. I was ill and asked my dad to read me, because his voice was very comforting. He walked me to the big book self in my sisters room and told me to pick whichever book caught my eye. Then i saw harry potter, and asked him to read me that book. I think he read almost the entire book in one sitting. it was just too exciting. I'm been hooked. Love you, Jo, because you've probably changed my life in more ways than i can count.

Knowing that she was once a normal person just like all of us and that only talent got her to be well-known makes me look up to her even more, because not everybody can do that. Her writing is something special. I fell in love with the Harry Potter books a long while ago and they've been my life ever since. I've learned countless lessons from every book, and I will, without a doubt, pass those books to my own children.
I miss this feeling of getting excited waiting for your favourite book to be released and even lining up outside the shop after midnight waiting for the countdown when you'll finally have it in your hands. I haven't had this feeling since Harry Potter and I doubt I ever will again sadly.

I feel she is such a genuine lady. Such charisma, knowledge and thoughtfulness. I didn't realise before but she really has such a graceful way of putting into words her feelings, reflections, thoughts and so forth. In a way so few people can.

In my experience I can relate to her, i grew up in a poor neighborhood but my mother was from a wealthy family. Still we had a council house as my father was from a poor family and otherwise, he was the breadwinner as they say, and my mother a house wife. He passed away when I was only 11, for years I sort of just had to deal with all sorts of difficulties and trauma from bullying and abuse.
As a grown man, I can look at those times and see that though they did have a huge impact on me, they never defined me.
When I reached the age of adulthood, that is when I was able to start to chip away at everything that was not me.
I was surprised that the more I chipped away, the more I felt that this person that I am is so much more simple and imperfect than I realised.
Laying bare ourselves in such an open way, is such a rare and noble thing we can do.
Speaking from this point of view and accepting I don't have all the answers, is incredibly refreshing and also quite frightening.
We all like to think we have a handle on life, and it's within our control. But, on accepting that such views are folly really brings home the transient nature of things.
What a gentle, sensitive, intelligent soul. She seems like an incredible human being.

This is by far the best JK Rowling documentary ever.

So humble and honest, and yet what she will be remembered as is a woman who touched millions of lives with her words. Her stories are full of so many lessons and symbols and meanings, you'd have to fully reread each book so many times to pick up on all of them. I've reread the series eight times in its entirety, not to mention while they were still being published, and I've found things I never noticed each time without fail.
I am so glad that Joanne Rowling hasn't let all the fame go to her head.
Her voice, her way of speaking, her tone, her thinking, her philosophy, her mind...everything on this woman is so inspiring!

I had lived in Edinburgh for 8 years and even gone to the same places as Jo: Balmoral hotel, Caledonial hotel, Leith, Favorita etc. I used to wait for my date in front of the Balmoral hotel and watch people get into black taxis... I wonder how many times I could have almost bumped into her but probably never did. Funny. I think she is very likeable and relatable because she seems so real. She's been through some bad times and good times, like the rest of us, but unlike celebrities, she doesn't detach herself from the past so much. For most celebrities, you only remember the fame and nothing else, nothing to relate to really. To connect with somebody you have to be able to be somewhat vulnerable. She does that. She's inspirational and seems so down-to-earth at the same time, a great combination.
J.K. Rowling is one of the most honest, reflective humans around. This writer's gift has given millions, joy, knowledge, and wealth of the power of the language and imagination.
One of the things that I am most thankful for is J. K. Rowling creating these characters and writing these books. Who knew that the boy who lived and his friends would have such a huge impact on my life.

Having been fortunate enough to get tickets for Cursed Child, i can say that it was amazing! I finally feel like i have proper closure knowing what happened to the children/ the families all those years later. The script book coming out is a great idea, but people need to remember that a script book is very different to a normal book! I really hope everyone should get the chance to see the cursed child, because although i was happy with the ending of the books and was content, i feel that it really gives the final bit of closure that we all needed without even realising we needed it!

I also think another HP book is not good, BUT another book, or series of books in the world of Harry Potter, with totally new characters, then I say a big YES ! and maybe at a time before HP ( maybe around 1945 when albus met Grindenwald ), or like others say: a kind of prequel when his parents where children, or nowadays coz after all, The 7 books of HP happen between 1991-1998, why not about right now, (well I guess right now will be depicted in the Cursed Child, but it's just a play).

The library where I work at currently has a HP exhibit for the month, and I've got this documentary playing on a loop. So many people have walked through, stopped, and sat down to watch the whole thing. Adults in particular, who'd otherwise have kept on walking because they think HP is "just a kids book".

The story of JK Rowling's life and everything she's been through is almost as magical as the Harry Potter books themselves. I may be taking issue with how she's handling all the recent stuff that's attached to the Harry Potter universe, but the love, devotion, thought, care and heart that went into those books was amazing. How it came about, from her getting the idea while riding a train and having to spend 4+ hours just thinking about it all becuase she didn't have anything to write with, to living in squalor on benefits while writing chapters in the cafe. It's all just amazing. The parallels between her own life story and Harry's is uncanny and beautiful. It's almost as though it was destiny for her to bring this world to us. And I will forever love and respect her for what she gave us. Even if she's on the verge of destroying her canon with these Fantastic Beasts movies and the ABOMINATION called The Cursed Child that should never have even existed. I love her. And I love her world more than anything. It means more to me than anyone can ever know. Her getting emotional at the end when she visited the apartment she wrote the first book in. That killed me. And once in a while there comes a video that leaves you speechless, so contented that you choose to feel happy despite everything. This video made every vein in my body to scream for me to live. Inspiration is a word which doesn't even come close when I look at her, admire doesn't suffice when I think about her. Gratitude wouldn't even bring out how it feels to have lived while she walked the earth too. Harry Potter is a lifetime, innumerable lifetimes. Always.
Ive never read or watch a Harry potter book or film. After watching this I think I want to now. I've found myself so into this documentary, she tells a story really well.
When she returned to her old flat, that was it for me. I couldn't stop crying.
So much respect for JK Rowling, so touched by her story and her genuine tears, so inspired by her ability and will to fight, to live, to love. Thank you, JK Rowling, for giving me the childhood you so desperately wished for.
I remember seeing this years and years ago and when she walks into her old bedroom and sees the Harry Potter books on the shelf, the ones that she wrote in her darkest times, that brought her out of her misery and into an amazing life, bought by a total stranger, it completely broke me. Say what you want about her but she created this world for us. I know for a fact that I would be so very different without Harry Potter. So so different. And I think a lot of us would.
Seeing Harry Potter books in her old apartment is breath taking and emotion for even someone who didn't write the books.
