Hi Gary Loving these tricon sets. I have been working out 6days a week for 3 years mostly heavy weights with good results but with joint issues I found your channel a couple of weeks ago and have had great improvement. I am turning 50 next month. A week ago my 28yar old son started at the gym working out with me. He is also benefitting from the lighter weight focusing on his form and mind muscle connection. Keep up the great work.
Gary you are teaching a kind of new age training that gets results and not nasty surppises, Younger guys too would benefits a lot if they'd follow your training tips. But they need to throw their ego out of window to appreciate this type of training. Thanks Gary for your training videos. John.
Appreciate you saying that, John! And you're right. Ego has to be checked at the door. It'll keep you working out for the long haul so you can feel strong, fit, and powerful regardless of age.

I am 56 years old and I do fitness very often. 6 times in the week at home and 1 time in the 2 weeks in the gym with my fysiotherapist annex personal trainer. Tricon training is than very good if you are above 40/50 years old.
Thank you Gary this is a great workout. I am male over 60 I workout 3x a week. Two questions instead of 1second, 10 seconds & 4 seconds can I rotate the order. Second, is there a limit to the number of days, weeks or months of duration for this workout. Thanks again D.H.

Tried this today. And man, did I feel the pump!!! I could actually feel the strain in my lats. And the icing is that this was achieved with only 50% of the weights that I usually use. Thanks Gary... you are awesome 👍

You're going to love this workout then, Gary. And it does both as long as you're following progressive overload. However, TRICON definitely gives a huge hypertrophy response
@@LiveAnabolic update, pull day went well. I'm working on pullups, 2 mos ago I couldnt do 1, but now i can do 6 clean and 2 more with cheat. My weak point is chin over bar on those last reps, so I changed the static hold on lat pull down to that end range (rather than mid range) hoping it will help me eek out 2 more clean pull up reps soon. The tricon sets really stink cause you have to drop weight and suffer through longer sets lol, but I definitely felt better mind muscle connection incorporating them!
Lol, I couldn't resist being a smart ass. I'm 56 (closer to that coveted senior moniker than you) and I put in 3 workouts a week and do my best to make them count. Videos like this one are very helpful and appreciated. I've noted lots of youngsters that aren't even close so you're doing something right. Thanks,
You keep saying "your 1st tricon set" and then you say "3 explosive then your 1st tricon rep..." Isn't the entire thing, 3 explosive/3 pause/3 slow a tricon?
