      Awesome. I will be talking about a lot of different knives but I started with Kizlyar because I agree, they are underrated and a great price. Not too much info out there on them.

    I'm going to try the leader. Thanks for the good information

      You won't regret it. Don't forget to let me know what you think after you use it a bit. In a couple weeks I am going to have a video about smoothing out the edges of the leader with a file to make it feel better leaving the hands when throwing it for hours. I have many knives that cost 3-4 times more than the leader but end up using it the most. The difference though with the more expensive knives is they have a slight beveled edge so they feel smooth while throwing. Have fun.

    I use the Lepestok for no spin. I think it works good for half spin as well. The opposite of what you say lol

    Thank you for convincing me to buy the strij, Ive been on the fence about it but now I'm going to purchase a few. By the way would you be willing to review the cold steel black fly?

    • @halfspin
      @halfspin  Год назад

      Let me know what you think of the Strij after you use it a bit. I am going to do a whole month of ColdSteel throwing knife videos, probably April. I am going to go through all of them. But I can tell you the black fly is too skinny and light. The strij throws much more like a real throwing knife.

    You're missing one model. it's a model called the "kochevnic" which means "nomad" or traveler. It is made for no spin and is much thicker than the rest. I think it's a limited edition and I purchased 6. For me it's the best no spin thrower I have.

    • @halfspin
      @halfspin  Год назад

      I have seen pictures of it but haven't been able to get one. Hopefully one day I can get ahold of one and I will make an updated video. For now the leader is my favorite kizlyar knife but I can't wait to try the Kochevnic.

    • @Nunyadamnbusiness222
      @Nunyadamnbusiness222 Год назад +1

      @@halfspin I have one of each of their models and 6 of the kochevnic. In my opinion they are the best at that price point. I do wish they were a carbon steel and not stainless as stainless throwers break easier although I haven't had any issues as of yet. Have a great weekend.👍

    "In the world of knife throwing bigger knives are easier to throw." WHAT? It's best not to wake the trolls by making blanket statements. A bigger knife can be easier to throw or harder, it depends. Using rotational throwing, it may be easier to track the spin of a larger knife due to its slower rotation and size. However, too big and it gets harder instead. A few of my knives are well over a pound in weight and are Not easy to throw. Using a very large knife for no spin throwing is more difficult in my opinion than using a smaller knife. I found the Ace jet Hornets to be one of the easiest knives to throw long distance no spin, and they are only 7.1 inches long 132 grms 6mm thick. Crazy, right? I thought they would be way too small, yet I prefer them over my vengeance arrows.

      First off, thanks for stopping by my little channel. I am just getting started and hope I can have some fun with my fellow knife throwers. I have a lot of videos I am working on and always looking for advice and suggestions. I really appreciate the comments.

    • @halfspin

      I have learned not to worry about waking the trolls because in reality they never sleep. I have already had my share of bad run ins. If I am going to have fun and make a bunch of videos I will 100% accidentally make some bad blanket statements, call a knife the best at something and the next week get a new knife that is better, I will make a few mistakes each video but I will try my best and I hope those that actually enjoy knife throwing understand.

      When I said bugger is better I was for sure talking about rotational throwing. And of course there is a limit. I agree, I am pretty bad at no spin on anything bigger than 11". I am surprised you are doing no spins on the hornets. I have a hornet video coming out and in the video I said with my large hands, I have the best luck with military halfspin. They are dynamite for short distance military halfspin. But I struggle with other styles with them. But now I will give longer distance nospin a try and see what I think.
