Kinetic Kennons Chichén Itzá and Palenque are the famous ones and deservedly so... both are a must. My favorite though is Coba (it is the only archeological site that I know of where you can ride around on a bike and that just made it an incredible experience for me).

Yes!!! Finally! Amigo tours is #1!!! It’s the best tour because like you said, you would be wondering around by ourself not knowing the history. With the pyramids the tour is necessary IMO. Love that you visited! My son did some serious shopping there lol! He had little elderly ladies following us around, which we didn’t mind it was a blessing to experience that place on Thanksgiving last year! Another tip for your viewers... Wear good clothes to, flexible clothes... I wore Jeans ha ha ha jajaja I was dying but with it!!!

I went to Teotihucan in 2016.I love it .In the future I will take my husband so he can see it too.There is also a air balloon tour to see Teotihucan. Thank you !It brought me back memories when I was there. Amazing place to visit!😍

I visited Teotihuacan in 1979 with a group of friends. There weren't many people; only a few locals. One very friendly vendor volunteered to show us around with the condition that we consumed his product, pulque. Which he carried in a bag made out of some kind of animal skin strapped around his shoulder. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the site which he proudly detailed in an intriguing fashion as we toured the complex and drank his pulque! It was a very interesting experience. I even felt the energy of the site. Well perhaps the pulque and the weed we consumed enhanced the feeling. But I had a great time! The place is truly something.

It a world heritage site and a gift to all humanity no matter where your from. Other sites you can go to are of course Chichén Itzá, Palenque, Monte Alban, and one that’s lesser known but I think is beautiful is El Tejin in the state of Veracruz.. those are just a few but there’s tons more

Amigo Tours, got it, I think it was back in 2006 when I went with some relatives to Teotihuacan, but it was only a excursion by bus, as soon as we got there, we were set free and told we had 6 hours there, well since I was the youngest there, my relatives an aunt and an uncle didn't feel like climbing the stairs of the Pyramid of the Moon and the other, of the Sun, what little I know of this BEAUTIFUL and so AWESOME place is from magazines and books on the subject, on my bucket list, Amigo Tours-Teotihuacan.Hmm...glimpsing the Prickly pear full of fruit, oh man, almost probably by mid-May or beginning of June they should be ready for picking, I do recommend Güerita and you Goyo try the prickly pear fruit, the only down side of the fruit is they have so many seeds, but the white tunas(green in color)are the sweetest and juiciest of all tunas, there are also red and yellow(orange in color).

This city stretched to the hills in the distance on all sides with apartments, temples, palaces, streets, avenues, and plazas. It's hard to grasp its ancient splendor. The walls and surfaces were covered in polished lime plaster with many of the surfaces painted like in most other ancient mesoamerican cities. You can still appreciate a small fraction of the ancient painted artworks which must have covered the city's walls in its time of glory.
Hello, guys, it's great that you visited the pyramids about which you have more questions than answers. Some interesting facts: It is not known what culture built them since 150 BC. This unknown culture predates the Mexica or Aztecs and when they arrived in the area, it was already uninhabited as now and it is not known what happened. It was found outside and inside the construction of the pyramids a radioactive and thermal and electrical insulation material called mica whose origin is Brazilian and it is not known how thousands of years ago it could be moved from there to Teotihuacán without suffering damages and for what purpose it was used at that time. Maybe going to recharge energy there in the equinox is not a simple myth. Finally, a tunnel was found with many types of seeds of which it is not known why they were stored and the alignment of the pyramids of the sun, the moon and temple of Quetzalcoatl reflect the alignment of the Orion belt ... greetings !!

You should visit Cuicuilco Pyramids south CDMX; Xochicalco, next Cuernavaca, Mor.; Tula, Hgo. Malinalco, Estado de México; Cacaxtla, near Puebla. For the beggining.
You felt excited, because the gods of the Aztecs spoke to you when you were on the top of the pyramid. And the gods only speak to the noble of heart. Take care a lot I'm Mexican and I've never been in those pyramids.

Amigos, just south of UNAM, about 5-10mins by Metrobus is Piramide de Cuicuilco. It’s estimated to be the oldest surviving archeological site in the Valley of Mexico built around 800 B.C., 2000 plus yrs before the Aztecs arrived!! You just have to take the Insurgentes Metrobus line and get off at Villa Olimpica Station. Hope you can visit it! Greetings from Phoenix and great video as always!

You are correct Goyo, the city of Teotihuacan was already abandoned when the Aztecs arrived to the center of Mexico and they found it in that state, Teotihuacan is probably one of the most mysterious archeological sites that are still under archeological research, the name of this site also has several meanings: "City of the Sun", "City of Gods" but personally I like the meaning "Place where Men become Gods". Now that you've done the tour ... Find out when they're doing the light show on the pyramid of the sun. Reserve a hotel room in Teotihuacan (I recommend Hotel Villas Arqueologicas Teotihuacan). Call the hotel and ask them to get you tickets to the light show. Go to Central de Autobuses del Norte. Make your way to the counter with the sign that has a pyramid. Buy bus tickets. Ride to gate 2. Take a taxi to your hotel. Pick up your tickets to the light show. Relax and get something to eat. Go to the light show!!!!! Come back to your room and stay awake because it was so amazing that you can't sleep! Get up the next day and go to the site when it opens. Explore, then take a bus back home, or splurge and have the hotel get you a driver! FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN!!!!!! Oh, and if you get up early enough, you can do a hot air balloon ride over the pyramids! Bumpy landing, but amazing too!
One of my best places I ever been in Mexico! I used to live in Mexico City and as you said, it's a must for spending a full day. My first visit was in 1982 and I was in shock the first time I saw the pyramids! And if you drive there, you can go around to visit beautiful small old towns and try the pulque (an alcoholic beverage that comes from the ancient people).
Somebody please let me know if I am wrong but I think the Aztecs (or Mexicas) never lived in Teotihuacan. The Teotihuacanos were their own civilization and they were earlier than the Aztecs. I understand that they never contacted each other since they were from different periods. Regards.
For centuries, all the mesoamerica cultures considered Teotihuacan a City of God's... "Teo" could easily mean "God" if it was Latin or I don't know, I am no expert

You should visit Cuicuilco Pyramids south CDMX; Xochicalco, next Cuernavaca, Mor.; Tula, Hgo. Malinalco, Estado de México; Cacaxtla, near Puebla. For the beggining.

Amigos, just south of UNAM, about 5-10mins by Metrobus is Piramide de Cuicuilco. It’s estimated to be the oldest surviving archeological site in the Valley of Mexico built around 800 B.C., 2000 plus yrs before the Aztecs arrived!! You just have to take the Insurgentes Metrobus line and get off at Villa Olimpica Station. Hope you can visit it! Greetings from Phoenix and great video as always!

Hello friends!!!! You finally did it!!!! It's great to know that you have enjoyed the visit to the archeological site. You are correct Goyo, the city of Teotihuacan was already abandoned when the Aztecs arrived to the center of Mexico and they found it in that state, Teotihuacan is probably one of the most mysterious archeological sites that are still under archeological research, the name of this site also has several meanings: "City of the Sun", "City of Gods" but personally I like the meaning "Place where Men become Gods". I can’t believe that when people think of pyramids the first thing that comes to mind is Egypt. Not only are the ones in Mexico bigger be we have sooo manny more not just that they ar much more more architecturally beautiful here. It’s amazing how little mexico gets credit for everything it has

But when you hear about Mexico’s civilizations all you learn is that they savages who sacrificed people and there is so much more then just that aspect of its civilization

Now that you've done the tour ... Find out when they're doing the light show on the pyramid of the sun. Reserve a hotel room in Teotihuacan (I recommend Hotel Villas Arqueologicas Teotihuacan). Call the hotel and ask them to get you tickets to the light show. Go to Central de Autobuses del Norte. Make your way to the counter with the sign that has a pyramid. Buy bus tickets. Ride to gate 2. Take a taxi to your hotel. Pick up your tickets to the light show. Relax and get something to eat. Go to the light show!!!!! Come back to your room and stay awake because it was so amazing that you can't sleep! Get up the next day and go to the site when it opens. Explore, then take a bus back home, or splurge and have the hotel get you a driver! FUN FUN FUN FUN FUN!!!!!!
Oh, and if you get up early enough, you can do a hot air balloon ride over the pyramids! Bumpy landing, but amazing too!

One of my best places I ever been in Mexico! I used to live in Mexico City and as you said, it's a must for spending a full day. My first visit was in 1982 and I was in shock the first time I saw the pyramids! And if you drive there, you can go around to visit beautiful small old towns and try the pulque (an alcoholic beverage that comes from the ancient people).

Somebody please let me know if I am wrong but I think the Aztecs (or Mexicas) never lived in Teotihuacan. The Teotihuacanos were their own civilization and they were earlier than the Aztecs. I understand that they never contacted each other since they were from different periods. Regards.

For centuries, all the mesoamerica cultures considered Teotihuacan a City of God's... "Teo" could easily mean "God" if it was Latin or I don't know, I am no expert
